chinese tamarisk(saltcedar)is a deciduous shrub that occurs widely across the Yellow River Delta in *** spatial structure of chinese tamarisk is believed to have an influence on the landscape and habitats of rare *** this study,first,chinese tamarisk is detected using canny edge detector and mathematical morphological operators based on sPOT 5 fusion-ready *** the numbers,areas,locations,and patch spacing of chinese tamarisk patches are *** experiments show that the detection accuracy of chinese tamarisk patches is about 93.4%after the disconnection of connected *** distribution orientation of about 70%of the patches is approximately *** 91%of the minimum distances among the patches are between 12.5 and 57.5 *** rose graph indicates that the main azimuth between patches is north--northwest,and the second is northeast and *** present study indicates that the integrating canny edge detector with the algorithms for extracting circular and elliptical objects based on mathematical morphology is simple and effective for detecting chinese tamarisk patches and is easy to identify the spatial structure of chinese tamarisk patches,which reduces the time and labor for the visual interpretation of chinese tamarisk patches.

The mountains of southwest china comprise a significant large mountain range and biodiversity hotspot imperiled by global climate *** high species diversity in this mountain system has long been attributed to a complex set of factors,and recent large-scale macroevolutionary investigations have placed a broad timeline on plant diversification that stretches from 10 million years ago(Mya)to the *** our increasing understanding of the temporal mode of speciation,finer-scale populationlevel investigations are lacking to better refine these temporal trends and illuminate the abiotic and biotic influences of cryptic *** is largely due to the dearth of organismal sampling among closely related species and populations,spanning the incredible size and topological heterogeneity of this *** study dives into these evolutionary dynamics of speciation using genomic and ecomorphological data of stellera chamaejasme *** identified four previously unrecognized cryptic species having indistinct morphological traits and large metapopulation of evolving lineages,suggesting a more recent diversification(~2.67-0.90 Mya),largely influenced by Pleistocene glaciation and biotic *** factors likely influenced allopatric speciation and advocated cyclical warming–cooling episodes along elevational gradients during the *** study refines the evolutionary timeline to be much younger than previously implicated and raises the concern that projected future warming may influence the alpine species diversity,necessitating increased conservation efforts.

Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry （LA-IcP-Ms） has been widely adopted for the direct multi-elemental analysis with high sensitivity. Especially analysis of fine ceramics by LA-IcP-Ms without time-consuming sample decomposition process has been one of the most expecting application field. small additive elements in MgO powders were analyzed by LA-IcP-Ms. For precise and accurate analysis influence of carrier gas （Ar or he） was presented by the signal intensities of IcP-Ms, relative standard deviation of signal intensities and ablated particle size distribution. Ablated particles were collected and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy （sEM） to investigate the particle size distribution, and the ablated sample surface was examined by camscope. In he gas atmosphere, the signal was more stable than in Ar gas atmosphere. The signal intensity was higher in Ar than in he. Examination of ablated particles and sample surface reveals that more particles were generated in Ar atmosphere and the distribution of particle size was larger.

The yield asymmetry between compression and tension of magnesium alloy Mg-3Al-1Zn（AZ31） with different grain sizes and textures has been studied by tensile and compressive testing of as-cast,as-extruded and equal channel angular pressed（EcAPed） *** significant yield asymmetry（the ratio of yield strength between compression and tension σyc/σyt is ～0.44） was found in as-extruded specimens and the corresponding microstructure evolution during deformation revealed that {10 ˉ 12} tensile twinning is the underlying reason for the large yield *** texture and grain size are influential factors for large yield *** separate contributions of grain size and texture on yield asymmetry were investigated.

Objective The placebo response in depression studies is the change in symptoms amongst those who receive an inactive *** well-designed randomized controlled trials(RcTs)of depression have a high proportion of placebo responders,with little understanding as to *** present study assesses characteristics associated with the placebo response in a nutraceutical trial with a large proportion of placebo *** This is a secondary analysis of a nutraceutical depression RcT which identified no overall treatment benefit relative to placebo(n=69 in placebo group).We investigated participant characteristics such as socio-demographics,clinical features,and recruitment methods,and their association with the placebo *** genetic polymorphisms were also *** response was measured based on change in Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating scale *** association of these hypothesis-driven variables of interest and the placebo response was examined using linear mixed effects *** Greater levels of education,particularly pursuing post-high school education,better self-reported general health,marriage/de facto,greater improvement in the first trial week,and more failed antidepressant therapies in the current depressive episode were associated with greater placebo *** increased placebo response was not found in those recruited via social media nor in those with concomitant antidepressant *** nucleotide polymorphisms from the tryptophan hydroxylase 1(TPh1)gene(A779c and A218c)were weakly associated with greater placebo response,although the evidence was attenuated after accounting for multiple *** This is,to our knowledge,the first study within nutraceutical research for depression to assess the association between participant characteristics and variation in the placebo *** variables appeared to predict the placebo *** findings may encourage future trial design

In an injection moulding process, the parallelism b et ween the tie bars of the injection moulding machine is very important as it will affect the mould closing and clamping system. In recent years, more and more ho t runner systems are being applied in the moulding industry to save material and decrease the losses of injection pressure. heat transfer from hot runner system from the fixed half which is secured in the fix machine platen could transmit s o much heat that it may cause high temperature differential between the machine fix platen and moving platen. This will cause the tie bar to become unparallel. Part quality will be compromised and the wear of the tie bar will be excessive. Overhaul of the tie bar may be necessary after a short period of time which is c ostly. This raises the need to analyze the heat transfer from the hot runner sys tem to the machine fix platen and the methods of isolating or minimizing the hea t transfer. In this case study, a photo lens article mould was used. The mould w as built with a direct hot runner nozzle system. heat conduction from hot runner and machine screw to machine fix platen were studied based on either using high temperature heat insulating plate put in placed between the mould and the mould ing machine fix platen or drill cooling channels in the front mould clamping pla te. The high temperature insulator is very costly as it is made out of glass re inforced polymer composite material. Experimental results were obtained and anal yzed to find the best method to minimize the unwanted heat transfer using the ch eapest and most effective method.

structural health monitoring of Rc structures under seismic loads has recently attracted much attention in the earthquake engineering research community. In this study, a piezoceramic-based device called ＂smart aggregate＂ was used for the health monitoring of Rc frame structures under earthquake excitations. Three Rc moment frames instrumented with smart aggregates were tested using a shaketable with different ground excitation intensities. Distributed piezoceramic- based smart aggregates were embedded in the Rc structures and used to monitor their health condition during the tests. The sensitivity and effectiveness of the proposed piezoceramic-based approach were investigated and evaluated by analyzing the measured responses. The displacement ductility demand of the structural members was calculated and compared with the damage index determined from the health monitoring system. The comparison shows that the damage index is compatible with the calculated ductility demand.

The influence of substrate temperature and nozzle-to-substrate distance（NsD） on the structural,morphological, optical and electrical properties of sb：snO_2 thin films prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis has been *** structural,morphological,optical and electrical properties were characterized by using XRD,sEM, UV-visible spectrophotometry and hall effect measurement *** was seen that the films are polycrystalline, having a tetragonal crystal structure with strong orientation along the（200） *** pyramidal crystallites formed due to coalescence were observed from sEM *** values of highest conductivity,optical transmittance and figure of merit of about 1449（Ω·cm）^（-1）,70%and 5.2×10^（-3）□/Ω,respectively,were observed for a typical film deposited using optimal conditions（substrate temperature = 500℃and NsD = 30 cm）.
