The involvement of the excitatory amino acids glutamate and aspartate in ce rebral ischemia and excitotoxicity is ***,the role of non-excitatory amino acids in brain damage following a stroke or brain trauma remains largely *** release of amino acids by necrotic cells in the ischemic core may contribute to the expansion of the *** findings indicated that the reversible loss of field excitato ry postsynaptic potentials caused by transient hypoxia became irreversible when exposed to a mixture of just four non-excitatory amino acids(L-alanine,glycine,L-glutamine,and L-serine)at their plasma *** amino acids induce swelling in the somas of neurons and astrocytes during hypoxia,along with permanent dendritic damage mediated by N-methyl-D-aspartate *** N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors prevented neuronal damage in the presence of these amino acids during *** is likely that astroglial swelling caused by the accumulation of these amino acids via the alanine-serine-cysteine transporter 2 exchanger and system N transporters activates volume-regulated anion channels,leading to the release of excitotoxins and subsequent neuronal damage through N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor ***,previously unrecognized mechanisms involving non-excitatory amino acids may contribute to the progression and expansion of brain injury in neurological emergencies such as stroke and traumatic brain *** these pathways co uld highlight new therapeutic targets to mitigate brain injury.

Although many causes of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)may exist,both the original amyloid cascade and tau hypotheses posit that abnormal misfolding and accumulation of amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau protein is the central event causing the ***,that conclusion could be only partly true,and there is conflicting evidence about the role of both proteins in AD,being able to precede and influence one *** researchers argue that these proteins are mere executors rather than primary causes of ***,there have been continuing refinements of both hypotheses,with alternative explanations proposed.Aβand tau proteins may be independently involved in specific neurotoxic pathways;yet there may be other crucial processes going on in early ***,accumulating evidence suggests that Aβand tau act synergistically,rather than additively in disease onset(Jeremic et al.,2021,2023a).

Recent reports suggest that aging is not solely a physiological process in living beings;instead, it should be considered a pathological process or disease(Amorim et al., 2022). consequently, this process involves a wide range of factors, spanning from genetic to environmental factors, and even includes the gut microbiome(Gm)(mayer et al., 2022). All these processes coincide at some point in the inflammatory process, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, at different degrees in various organs and systems that constitute a living organism(mayer et al., 2022;AguilarHernández et al., 2023).

This paper considers the eventual leader election problem in asynchronous message-passing systems where an arbitrary number t of processes can crash（t〈n,where n is the total number of processes）.It considers weak assumptions both on the initial knowledge of the processes and on the network *** precisely,initially,a process knows only its identity and the fact that the process identities are different and totally ordered（it knows neither n nor t）.Two eventual leader election protocols and a lower bound are *** first protocol assumes that a process also knows a lower bound α on the number of processes that do not *** protocol requires the following behavioral properties from the underlying network：the graph made up of the correct processes and fair lossy links is strongly connected,and there is a correct process connected to（n〈f）-α other correct processes（where f is the actual number of crashes in the considered run） through eventually timely paths（paths made up of correct processes and eventually timely links）.This protocol is not communication-efficient in the sense that each correct process has to send messages *** second protocol is communication-efficient：after some time,only the final common leader has to send messages *** protocol does not require the processes to know α,but requires stronger properties from the underlying network：each pair of correct processes has to be connected by fair lossy links（one in each direction）,and there is a correct process whose n〈f-1 output links to the rest of correct processes have to be eventually timely.A matching lower bound result shows that any eventual leader election protocol must have runs with this number of eventually timely links,even if all processes know all the processes *** addition to being communication-efficient,the second protocol has another noteworthy efficiency property,namely,be the run finite or infinite,all the local variables and message fields have

In the mexican Intertropical convergence Zone, particle size distributions within 500 m of cloud boundaries at altitudes of 1000, 2500, and 4200 m, were compared against size distributions at the same levels but 1500 m away from the clouds. The differences in the distributions near and far from the cloud are related to processes that may change particle properties inside the cloud. chemical changes in the aerosols are deduced from the particles＇ refractive index, as derived from comparisons with the scattering coeflcient measured by a nephelometer. An analysis of ten cloud systems indicates that vertical transport of cloud base aerosol followed by entrainment/detrainment is the cloud processing signature most frequently observed in the comparisons （65%）. changes in the chemical composition are observed in approximately 20% of the cases and another 20% of the cases showed removal by precipitation. About 5% of the comparisons showed clear evidence of changes by coalescence. The principal effect of these cloud-processed aerosols is observed in the increase of optical depth in the layer from 30 m to 4200 m in the near-cloud regions, in comparison with the atmosphere further from clouds.
