Tunable electrical properties of C_(60)·m-xylene and the formation of semiconducting ordered amorphous carbon clusters under pressure

Ordered amorphous carbon clusters(OACC)transformed from m-xylene solvated C_(60)(C_(60)·m-xylene)are known as the first crystalline material constructed from amorphous building blocks and have attracted a lot of *** formation mechanism and physical properties of this material are of great importance for the design of more materials with such structural *** this article,the transport and structural properties of C_(60)·m-xylene are systematically investigated under pressure using impedance spectroscopy,four-probe resistance measurements,and Raman *** is found that C_(60)·mxylene is an insulator at ambient *** resistance decreases sharply starting at the pressure around 8 GPa due to the pressure-induced dimerization of C_(60)verified by the Raman *** presence of solvent hinders further polymerization of C_(60)under higher *** temperature-dependence of resistance exhibits a semiconducting characteristic at>8-26.9 GPa,and is well described by Mott's three-dimensional variable-range hopping model(3D-VRH),indicating an insulating-tosemiconducting transition accompanied with pressure-induced *** resistance and hopping energy are both found to decrease monotonically with pressure and reach the minimum near 24 *** the pressure,resistance and hopping energy values start to rise,suggesting a transition to another semiconducting state,which is attributed to the pressure-induced formation of *** conductivity shows a large hysteresis during decompression from higher than 24 GPa,confirming a different transport behavior of the sample with retained fullerenes versus *** findings of our study suggest that the transport property of fullerene is tunable by introducing solvates and further enhance our understanding of the OACC.

Magnifying endoscopy of gastric epithelial dysplasia based on the morphologic characteristics

AIM:To investigate the difference in magnifying endoscopic findings of gastric epithelial dysplasias(GEDs)according to the morphologic ***:This study included 46 GED lesions in 45patients who underwent magnifying endoscopy using narrow band imaging(ME-NBI)before endoscopic *** ME-NBI,the microvascular and microsurface(MS)patterns and the presence of light blue crest(LBC)and white opaque substance were *** were categorized as adenomatous,foveolar,and hybrid types,and their mucin phenotype was ***:Of the 46 lesions,27(59%)were categorized as adenomatous,15(32%)as hybrid,and the remaining 4(9%)as *** adenomatous GEDs showed the round pit and/or tubular MS patterns,all foveolar GEDs showed the papillary pattern,and hybrid GEDs showed mixed patterns(P<0.001).LBC was more frequently observed in adenomatous GEDs than in hybrid or foveolar GEDs(52%,33%,0%,respectively),although this difference was not significant(P=0.127).The papillary MS pattern was associated with MUC5AC and MUC6 expression,and the round pit and/or tubular MS patterns were associated with ***:The MS pattern in ME-NBI findings is useful for predicting the morphologic category and mucin phenotype of GEDs,and ME-NBI findings may guide decisions regarding GED treatment.

Systematic review on the surgical treatment for T1 gallbladder cancer

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy of simple and extended cholecystectomy for mucosa(T1a) or muscularis(T1b) gallbladder(GB) cancer. METHODS:Original studies on simple and extended cholecystectomy for T1a or T1b GB cancer were searched from MEDLINE(PubMed) ,Cochrane Library,EMBase,and CancerLit using the search terms of GB,cancer/carcinoma/tumor/neoplasm. RESULTS:Twenty-nine out of the 2312 potentially relevant publications met the eligibility *** the 1266 patients with GB cancer included in the publications,706(55.8%) and 560(44.2%) had T1a and T1b GB cancer,*** cholecystectomy for T1a and T1b GB cancer was performed in 590(83.6%) and 375(67.0%) patients,respectively(P<0.01) .In most series,the treatment of choice was simple cholecystectomy for T1a GB cancer patients with a 5-year survival rate of 100%.Lymph node metastasis was detected in 10.9% of the T1b GB cancer patients and in 1.8%of the T1a GB cancer patients,respectively(P<0.01) .Eight patients(1.1%) with T1a GB cancer and 52 patients(9.3%) with T1b GB cancer died of recurrent GB cancer(P<0.01) . CONCLUSION:Simple cholecystectomy represents the adequate treatment of T1a GB *** is no definite evidence that extended cholecystectomy is advantageous over simple cholecystectomy for T1b GB cancer.

Resistivity of reservoir sandstones and organic rich shales on the Barents Shelf: Implications for interpreting CSEM data

Marine controlled source electromagnetic(CSEM) data have been utilized in the past decade during petroleum exploration of the Barents Shelf, particularly for de-risking the highly porous sandstone reservoirs of the Upper Triassic to Middle Jurassic Realgrunnen Subgroup. In this contribution we compare the resistivity response from CSEM data to resistivity from wireline logs in both water-and hydrocarbon-bearing wells. We show that there is a very good match between these types of data, particularly when reservoirs are shallow. CSEM data, however, only provide information on the subsurface resistivity. Careful, geology-driven interpretation of CSEM data is required to maximize the impact on exploration success. This is particularly important when quantifying the relative resistivity contribution of high-saturation hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone and that of the overlying cap rock. In the presented case the cap rock comprises predominantly organic rich Upper Jurassic–Early Cretaceous shales of the Hekkingen Formation(i.e. a regional source rock). The resistivity response of the reservoir and its cap rock become merged in CSEM data due to the transverse resistance equivalence principle. As a result of this, it is imperative to understand both the relative contributions from reservoir and cap rock, and the geological significance of any lateral resistivity variation in each of the units. In this contribution, we quantify the resistivity of organic rich mudstone, i.e. source rock, and reservoir sandstones, using 131 exploration boreholes from the Barents Shelf. The highest resistivity(>10,000 Ωm) is evident in the hydrocarbon-bearing Realgrunnen Subgroup which is reported from 48 boreholes, 43 of which are used for this study. Multiphoton microscopy, relying on the simultaneous absorption of two or more photons by a fluorophore, has come to occupy a prominent place in modern biomedical research with its ability to allow real-time observation of a single cell and molecules in intact tissues. Multiphoton microscopy exhibits nonlinear optical contrast properties, which can make it possible to provide an exceptionally large depth penetration with less phototoxicity. This system becomes more and more an inspiring tool for a non-invasive imaging system to realize "optical biopsy" and to examine the functions of living cells. In this review, we briefly present the physical principles and properties of multiphoton microscopy as well as the current applications in biological fields. In addition, we address what we see as the future potential of multiphoton microscopy for gastroenterologic research.

Justifying benzoselenadiazole acceptor core as organic semiconductor for stable bulk-heterojunction organic solar cells at ambient temperature

This work describes the utilization of D-A-D type organic semiconductor,4,4’-(benzo[c][1,2,5]selenadiazole-4,7-diyl)bis(N,N-diphenylaniline),denoted as Se-2TPA,containing benzoselenadiazole(BSe)as acceptor core and end-capped with triphenylamine(TPA)donor units as donor materials in solar ***,the attachment of TPA donor moiety in BSe acceptor unit enlarged the conjugated system by extending the p-bonding which effectively tuned the optical and electrochemical properties of *** bulk heterojunction organic solar cell(BHJ-OSCs)with configuration of ITO/cp-TiO_(2)/Se-2TPA:PC61BM/Au showed power conversion efficiency(PCE)of~4.12% with short circuit current(Jsc)value of~11.28 mA/cm^(2),open circuit voltage(Voc)of~0.775 V and fill factor(FF)of~*** significantly increased from~4.12% to~5.29% when 1,8-diiodooctane(DIO)was added as an additive in Se-2TPA:PC61BM blend which associated with less phase separation and improved the charge *** fabricated BHJ-OSCs processed with 3%DIO,ITO/cp-TiO_(2)/Se-2TPA:PC61BM/Au configuration displayed a long-term stability under air condition at an ambient temperature by maintaining~80% PCE for the duration of 30 *** advantages of easy synthesis,low cost and promising cell performance supported Se-2TPA as successful organic semiconductor for BHJ-OSCs.

对于韩国外交决策的研究,中国学界主要关注国际因素与总统个人因素对外交决策的影响。实际上,韩国的外部环境转变以及国内各领域的结构性变化促使外交决策中各种因素的影响力此消彼长,即国际因素与总统个人因素的影响力相对下降,而其他国内因素的影响力则逐步上升,尤其是官僚组织在外交决策中扮演的角色愈加重要。本文以韩国官僚组织的形成与特征为切入点,探讨官僚组织在韩国外交决策中影响力逐渐增强的原因。
