An Intelligent Admission Control Scheme for Dynamic Slice Handover Policy in 5G Network Slicing

5G use cases,for example enhanced mobile broadband(eMBB),massive machine-type communications(mMTC),and an ultra-reliable low latency communication(URLLC),need a network architecture capable of sustaining stringent latency and bandwidth requirements;thus,it should be extremely flexible and *** enables service providers to develop various network slice *** users travel from one coverage region to another area,the callmust be routed to a slice thatmeets the same or different *** research aims to develop and evaluate an algorithm to make handover decisions appearing in 5G sliced *** of thumb which indicates the accuracy regarding the training data classification schemes within machine learning should be considered for validation and selection of the appropriate machine learning ***,this study discusses the network model’s design and implementation of self-optimization Fuzzy Qlearning of the decision-making algorithm for slice *** algorithm’s performance is assessed by means of connection-level metrics considering the Quality of Service(QoS),specifically the probability of the new call to be blocked and the probability of a handoff call being ***,within the network model,the call admission control(AC)method is modeled by leveraging supervised learning algorithm as prior knowledge of additional ***,to mitigate high complexity,the integration of fuzzy logic as well as Fuzzy Q-Learning is used to discretize state and the corresponding action *** results generated from our proposal surpass the traditional methods without the use of supervised learning and fuzzy-Q learning.

There have been numerous works proposed to merge augmented reality/mixed reality(AR/MR)and Internet of Things(IoT)in various ***,they have focused on their specific target applications and have limitations on interoperability or reusability when utilizing them to different domains or adding other devices to the *** paper proposes a novel architecture of a convergence platform for AR/MR and IoT systems and *** proposed architecture adopts the oneM2M IoT standard as the basic framework that converges AR/MR and IoT systems and enables the development of application services used in general-purpose environments without being subordinate to specific systems,domains,and device *** implement the proposed architecture utilizing the open-source oneM2M-based IoT server and device platforms released by the open alliance for IoT standards(OCEAN)and Microsoft HoloLens as an MR device *** also suggest and demonstrate the practical use cases and discuss the advantages of the proposed architecture.

Quality of Service Improvement with Optimal Software-Defined Networking Controller and Control Plane Clustering

The controller is indispensable in software-defined networking(SDN).With several features,controllers monitor the network and respond promptly to dynamic *** performance affects the quality-of-service(QoS)in *** controller supports a set of ***,the support of the features may be more prominent in one ***,a single controller leads to performance,single-point-of-failure(SPOF),and scalability *** overcome this,a controller with an optimum feature set must be available for ***,a cluster of optimum feature set controllers will overcome an SPOF and improve the QoS in ***,leveraging an analytical network process(ANP),we rank SDN controllers regarding their supporting features and create a hierarchical control plane based cluster(HCPC)of the highly ranked controller computed using the ANP,evaluating their performance for the OS3E *** results demonstrated in Mininet reveal that a HCPC environment with an optimum controller achieves an improved ***,the experimental results validated in Mininet show that our proposed approach surpasses the existing distributed controller clustering(DCC)schemes in terms of several performance metrics i.e.,delay,jitter,throughput,load balancing,scalability and CPU(central processing unit)utilization.

A Hierarchal Clustered Based Proactive Caching in NDN-Based Vehicular Network

Race classification is a long-standing challenge in the field of face image *** investigation of salient facial features is an important task to avoid processing all face *** segmentation strongly benefits several face analysis tasks,including ethnicity and race *** propose a race-classification algorithm using a prior face segmentation framework.A deep convolutional neural network(DCNN)was used to construct a face segmentation *** training the DCNN,we label face images according to seven different classes,that is,nose,skin,hair,eyes,brows,back,and *** DCNN model developed in the first phase was used to create segmentation *** probabilistic classification method is used,and probability maps(PMs)are created for each semantic *** investigated five salient facial features from among seven that help in race *** are extracted from the PMs of five classes,and a new model is trained based on the *** assessed the performance of the proposed race classification method on four standard face datasets,reporting superior results compared with previous studies.

Terahertz(THz)waves,known as non-ionizing radiation owing to their low photon energies,can actually ionize atoms and molecules when a sufficiently large number of THz photons are concentrated in time and ***,we demonstrate the generation of ionizing,multicycle,15-THz waves emitted from large-area lithium niobate crystals via phase-matched optical rectification of 150-terawatt laser pulses.A complete characterization of the generated THz waves in energy,pulse duration,and focal spot size shows that the field strength can reach up to 260 megavolts per *** particular,a single-shot THz interferometer is employed to measure the THz pulse duration and spectrum with complementary numerical *** intense THz pulses are irradiated onto various solid targets to demonstrate THz-induced tunneling ionization and plasma *** study also discusses the potential of nonperturbative THz-driven ionization in gases,which will open up new opportunities,including nonlinear and relativistic THz physics in plasma.

The effects of aerobic exercise training on oxidant-antioxidant balance, neurotrophic factor levels, and blood-brain barrier function in obese and non-obese men

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of obesity and aerobic exercise training on oxidant-antioxidant balance,neurotrophic factor levels, and blood-brain barrier(BBB) ***: Ten non-obese healthy men(body mass index < 25 kg/m2) and 10 obese men(body mass index ≥ 25 kg/m2) were included in the *** groups performed treadmill exercise for 40 min 3 times weekly for 8 weeks at 70% heart rate reserve. Blood samples were collected to examine oxidant-antioxidant balance(reactive oxygen species(ROS) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity levels), neurotrophic factors(brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF), nerve growth factor, and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor levels), and BBB function(S100βand neuron-specific enolase(NSE) levels) before and after exercise ***: The obese group showed significantly greater changes than the non-obese group in serum ROS(-0.46 ± 0.31 mmol/L vs.-0.10 ±0.17 mmol/L,p=0.005),serum S100 p levels(-8.50 ± 5.92 ng/L vs.-0.78 ± 5.45 ng/L,p=0.007),and serum NSE levels(-0.89 ± 0.54 μg/L vs.-0.01 ± 0.74 μg/L,p= 0.007) after training. At baseline,the obese group showed significantly higher serum ROS and S100β levels and significantly lower serum SOD activity and BDNF levels than the non-obese group(p < 0.05). The obese group showed significantly lower serum ROS, S100β,and NSE levels and significantly higher serum SOD activity and BDNF levels after training compared with baseline(p < 0.05).Conclusion: These results suggest that obesity can reduce serum neurotrophic factor levels and can induce BBB dysfunction. On the other hand,aerobic exercise can improve an oxidant-antioxidant imbalance in obese subjects and limit BBB dysfunction.

The effect of the residual thermal stress of NiO films on the performance of an inverted type perovskite solar cell was *** this study,NiO films were grown on fluorine dopedtin oxide(FTO)substrates of different surface roughness by thermally oxidizing Ni film and weretested as a hole transport layer for large-scale perovskite solar *** and simulation results show that it is very important tosuppress the appearance of the residual stress at the NiO-FTO in terface during the oxidation of the Ni film for effective hole extracti *** Ni oxidation on the flat FTO film produced in-plane compressive stress in the NiO film due to the Ni film volume *** led to theformation of defects including small *** residual stress and defects in creased leakage curre nt through the NiO film,preve ntingholes from being selectively collected at the NiO-perovskite ***,when Ni was deposited and oxidized on the rough surface,the residual stress of the NiO film was negligible and its inhere nt high resistance was ***-free NiO film is an excelle nt holetransport layer that stops the photogenerated electrons of the perovskite layer from moving to *** improvements in the structural andelectrical qualities of the NiO film by engirteering the residual stress reduce the carrier recombination and increase the power conversi onefficiency of the perovskite solar cells to 16.37%.

Obesity promotes oxidative stress and exacerbates blood-brain barrier disruption after high-intensity exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of obesity and high-intensity acute exercise on oxidant-antioxidant status,neurotrophic factor expression, and blood-brain barrier(BBB) ***: Twenty-four healthy, untrained men(12 non-obese(mean 14.9% body fat) and 12 obese subjects(mean 29.8% body fat)) performed20 min of continuous submaximal aerobic exercise at 85% maximal oxygen consumption. Blood sampling was performed to examine the oxidant-antioxidant status(reactive oxygen species(ROS) and superoxide dismutase(SOD)), neurotrophic factors(brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) and nerve growth factor(NGF)), and BBB disruption(S100β and neuron-specific enolase) before and after acute ***: The obese group showed significantly higher pre-exercise serum ROS levels and significantly lower pre-exercise serum SOD levels than the non-obese group(p < 0.05). Serum ROS, SOD, BDNF, NGF, and S100β levels were significantly increased post-exercise compared with pre-exercise levels in both the non-obese and the obese groups(p < 0.05). The obese group showed significantly higher serum ROS, BDNF, NGF,and S100β levels post-exercise compared to the non-obese group(p < 0.05).Conclusion: Our study suggests that episodic vigorous exercise can increase oxidative stress and blood neurotrophic factor levels and induce disruption of the BBB. Moreover, high levels of neurotrophic factor in the blood after exercise in the obese group may be due to BBB disruption,and it is assumed that oxidative stress was the main cause of this BBB disruption.
