Tumor growth requires oxygen and nutrient supplementation through angiogenesis from preexisting vascular beds. Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a hyper-vascularized tumor with a predominant arterial blood flow. Therefore, targeting angiogenesis is essential for treating HCC. Tele-medical information system provides an efficient and convenient way to connect patients at home with medical personnel in clinical *** this system,service providers consider user authentication as a critical *** address this crucial requirement,various types of validation and key agreement protocols have been *** main problem with the two-way authentication of patients and medical servers is not built with thorough and comprehensive analysis that makes the protocol design yet has *** paper analyzes carefully all aspects of security requirements including the perfect forward secrecy in order to develop an efficient and robust lightweight authentication and key agreement *** secureness of the proposed protocol undergoes an informal analysis,whose findings show that different security features are provided,including perfect forward secrecy and a resistance to DoS ***,it is simulated and formally analyzed using Scyther *** results indicate the protocol’s robustness,both in perfect forward security and against various *** addition,the proposed protocol was compared with those of other related protocols in term of time complexity and communication *** time complexity of the proposed protocol only involves time of performing a hash function Th,i.e.,:O(12Th).Average time required for executing the authentication is 0.006 seconds;with number of bit exchange is 704,both values are the lowest among the other *** results of the comparison point to a superior performance by the proposed protocol.

Kernel Search-Framework for Dynamic Controller Placement in Software-Defined Network

In software-defined networking(SDN)networks,unlike traditional networks,the control plane is located separately in a device or *** of the most critical problems in these networks is a controller placement problem,which has a significant impact on the network’s overall *** paper attempts to provide a solution to this problem aiming to reduce the operational cost of the network and improve their survivability and load *** researchers have proposed a suitable framework called kernel search introducing integer programming formulations to address the controller placement *** demonstrates through careful computational studies that the formulations can design networks with much less installation cost while accepting a general connected topology among controllers and user-defined survivability *** researchers used the proposed framework on six different topologies then analyzed and compared with Iterated Local Search(ILS)and Expansion model for the controller placement problem(EMCPP)along with considering several evaluation *** results show that the proposed framework outperforms the ILS and ***,the proposed framework has a 38.53%and 38.02%improvement in reducing network implementation costs than EMCPP and ILS,respectively.

Satellite networks are recognized as the most essential communication infrastructures in the world today,which complement land networks and provide valuable services for their *** coverage and service stability of these networks have increased their *** eavesdropping and active intrusion in satellite communications are much easier than in terrestrial networks,securing satellite communications is *** far,several protocols have been proposed for authentication and key exchange of satellite communications,but none of them fullymeet the security *** this paper,we examine one of these protocols and identify its security ***,we propose a robust and secure authentication and session key agreement protocol using the elliptic curve cryptography(ECC).We show that the proposed protocol meets common security requirements and is resistant to known security ***,we prove that the proposed scheme satisfies the security features using the Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications(AVISPA)formal verification tool and On-the fly Model-Checker(OFMC)and ATtack SEarcher(ATSE)model *** have also proved the security of the session key exchange of our protocol using theReal orRandom(RoR)***,the comparison of our scheme with similar methods shows its superiority.

Impacts of livestock grazing on a savanna grassland in Kenya

The dynamics of most rangelands in Kenya remain to be poorly understood. This paper provides baseline information on the response of a semiarid rangeland under different livestock grazing regimes on land inhabited by the Massai people in the east side of Amboseli National Park in Kenya. The data were collected from grasslands designated into four types：（1） grassland from previous Massai settlements that had been abandoned for over twenty years; （2） grassland excluded from livestock grazing for eight years; （3） a dry season grazing area; and （4） a continuous grazing area where grazing occurred throughout all seasons. Collected data included grass species composition, grass height, inter-tuft distance, standing grass biomass and soil characteristics. The results indicated that continuous grazing area in semiarid rangelands exhibited loss of vegetation with negative, long-term effects on grass functional qualities and forage production, whereas grassland that used traditional Maasai grazing methods showed efficiency and desirable effects on the rangelands. The results also showed that abandoned homestead sites, though degraded, were important nutrient reservoirs.

Cambro-Silurian magmatisms at the northern Gondwana margin(Penninic basement of the Ligurian Alps)

The Early Paleozoic evolution of the northern margin of Gondwana is characterized by several episodes of bimodal magmatism intruded or outpoured within thick sedimentary basins. These processes are well recorded in the Variscan blocks incorporated in the Ligurian Alps because they experienced low temperature Alpine metamorphism. During the Paleozoic, these blocks, together with the other Alpine basements, were placed between the Corsica-Sardinia and the Bohemian Massif along the northern margin of Gondwana. In this framework, they host several a variegated lithostratigraphy forming two main complexes(Complexs I and II) that can be distinguished by both the protoliths and their crosscutting relationships, which indicate that the acidic and mafic intrusives of Complex II cut an already folded sequence made of sediments, basalts and granitoids of Complex I. Both complexes were involved in the Variscan orogenic phases as highlighted by the pervasive eclogite-amphibolite facies schistosity(foliation II). However, rare relicts of a metamorphic foliation at amphibolite facies conditions(foliation I)is locally preserved only in the rocks of Complex I. It is debatable if this schistosity was produced during the early folding event e occurred between the emplacement of Complex I and II e rather than during an early stage of the Variscan metamorphic *** SHRIMP and LA ICP-MS Ue Pb zircon dating integrated with literature data, provide emplacement ages of the several volcanic or intrusive bodies of both complexes. The igneous activity of Complex I is dated between 507 ± 15 Ma and 494 ± 5 Ma, while Complex II between 467 ± 12 Ma and 445.5 ± 12 *** folding event recorded only by the Complex I should therefore have occurred between 494 ± 5 Ma and 467 ± 12 Ma. The Variscan eclogite-amphibolite facies metamorphism is instead constrained between ~420 Ma and ~300 Ma. These ages and the geochemical signature of these rocks allow constraining the Early Paleozoic tectono-magmatic

Risk factors and diagnostic biomarkers for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease-associated hepatocellular carcinoma:Current evidence and future perspectives

High rates of excessive calorie intake diets and sedentary lifestyles have led to a global increase in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).As a result,this condition has recently become one of the leading causes of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Furthermore,the incidence of NAFLD-associated HCC(NAFLD-HCC)is expected to increase in the near *** liver fibrosis is the most common risk factor for ***,up to 50%of NAFLDHCC cases develop without underlying liver *** studies have revealed many other risk factors for this condition;including diabetes,other metabolic traits,obesity,old age,male sex,Hispanic ethnicity,mild alcohol intake,and elevated liver *** gene variants,such as single-nucleotide polymorphisms of patatin-like phospholipase domain 3,transmembrane 6 superfamily member 2,and membrane-bound O-acyl-transferase domaincontaining 7,are also associated with an increased risk of HCC in patients with *** clinical and genetic information should be interpreted together for accurate risk ***-fetoprotein(AFP)is the only biomarker currently recommended for HCC ***,it is not sufficiently sensitive in addressing this diagnostic *** GALAD score can be calculated based on sex,age,lectin-bound AFP,AFP,and des-carboxyprothrombin and is reported to show better diagnostic performance for *** addition,emerging studies on genetic and epigenetic biomarkers have also yielded promising diagnostic ***,further research is needed to establish an effective surveillance program for the early diagnosis of NAFLD-HCC.
