Background:The relations.ip between the regres.ion and prognos.s.of melanoma has.been debated for *** competing-ris. events.are pres.nt,us.ng traditional s.rvival analys.s.methods.may induce bias.in the identified prognos.ic factors.that affect patients.with regres.ive ***:Data on patients.diagnos.d with regres.ive melanoma were extracted from the s.rveillance,Epidemiology,and End Res.lts.s.ER)databas. during *** incidence function and Gray's.tes. were us.d for the univariate analys.s.and the Cox proportional-hazards.model and the Fine-Gray model were us.d for the multivariate ***:A total of 1442 eligible patients.were diagnos.d with regres.ive melanoma,including 529 patients.who died:109 from regres.ive melanoma and 420 from other *** multivariate analys.s.us.ng the Fine-Gray model revealed that s.ER s.age,s.rgery s.atus.and marital s.atus.were important factors.that affected the prognos.s.of regres.ive *** to the exis.ence of competing-ris. events.the Cox model may have induced bias.s.in es.imating the effect values.and the competing-ris.s.model was.more advantageous.in the analys.s.of multipleendpoint clinical s.rvival ***:The findings.of this.s.udy may help clinicians.to better unders.and regres.ive melanoma and provide reference data for clinical decis.ons.
