this study was aimed to prepare landslide susceptibility maps for the Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand,India,using advanced ensemble models that combined Radial Basis Function Networks(RBFN)with three ensemble learning techniques:DAGGING(DG),MULTIBOOST(MB),and ADABOOST(AB).this combination resulted in three distinct ensemble models:DG-RBFN,MB-RBFN,and ***,a traditional weighted method,Information Value(IV),and a benchmark machine learning(ML)model,Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network(MLP),were employed for comparison and *** models were developed using ten landslide conditioning factors,which included slope,aspect,elevation,curvature,land cover,geomorphology,overburden depth,lithology,distance to rivers and distance to *** factors were instrumental in predicting the output variable,which was the probability of landslide *** analysis of the models’performance indicated that the DG-RBFN model,with an Area Under ROC Curve(AUC)of 0.931,outperformed the other *** AB-RBFN model achieved an AUC of 0.929,the MB-RBFN model had an AUC of 0.913,and the MLP model recorded an AUC of *** results suggest that the advanced ensemble ML model DG-RBFN was more accurate than traditional statistical model,single MLP model,and other ensemble models in preparing trustworthy landslide susceptibility maps,thereby enhancing land use planning and decision-making.

Flash floods are one of the most dangerous natural disasters,especially in hilly terrain,causing loss of life,property,and infrastructures and sudden disruption of *** types of floods are mostly associated with landslides and erosion of roads within a short *** of Vietnamis hilly and mountainous;thus,the problem due to flash flood is severe and requires systematic studies to correctly identify flood susceptible areas for proper landuse planning and traffic *** this study,three Machine Learning(ML)methods namely Deep Learning Neural Network(DL),Correlation-based FeatureWeighted Naive Bayes(CFWNB),and Adaboost(AB-CFWNB)were used for the development of flash flood susceptibility maps for hilly road section(115 km length)of National Highway(NH)-6 inHoa Binh province,*** the proposedmodels,88 past flash flood events were used together with 14 flash floods affecting topographical and geo-environmental *** performance of themodels was evaluated using standard statisticalmeasures including Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)Curve,Area Under Curve(AUC)and Root Mean Square Error(RMSE).The results revealed that all the models performed well(AUC>0.80)in predicting flash flood susceptibility zones,but the performance of the DL model is the best(AUC:0.972,RMSE:0.352).Therefore,the DL model can be applied to develop an accurate flash flood susceptibility map of hilly terrain which can be used for proper planning and designing of the highways and other infrastructure facilities besides landuse management of the area.

Our study aimed to compare the essential oil(EO)concentration and composition of several Apiaceae species growing in the Northern region of *** yields of EOs from materials ranged from 0.03%(root EO of Angelica acutiloba and aerial parts EO of Heracleum bivittatum)-0.27%(leaf EO of Xyloselinum vietnamense).Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)allowed the identiﬁcation of 74 components in the EOs of six Apiaceae species,making up 94.4%–100.0%of the *** EO from Angelica acutiloba,(Z)-ligustilide accounted for an extremely large proportion(94.9%).EO of Angelica pubescens was dominated by six character-istic components includingα-pinene(21.5%),β-phellandrene(18.1%),p-cymene(12.2%),3-methylnonane(8.7%),o-cymene(8.1%),and D-sylvestrene(6.2%).The EO from Cryptotaenia japonica was characterized by high amounts ofα-selinene(48.7%),β-selinene(23.7%),and trans-β-farnesene(5.4%).The EOs from leaves and stems of Xyloselinum vietnamense were characterized by high concentrations of sabinene(69.8%and 33.8%),4-terpineol(8.7%and 7.4%)andβ-pinene(4.0%and 6.5%)while EOs from aerial parts and root of Xylo-selinum leonidii comprise four characteristic monoterpenes includingα-pinene(28.2%and 52.8%),β-pinene(7.9%and 10.3%),β-phellandrene(7.6%and 15.3%),and sabinene(3.0%and 4.1%).Additionally,cryptone is also one of the major components in the EO of Xyloselinum leonidii(13.2%in the aerial parts oil and 2.8%in the root oil).In the EOs isolated from the aerial parts and root of Heracleum bivittatum,α-pinene(22.5%and 70.2%)andβ-pinene(43.2%and 20.0%)were the predominant *** appeared in the EO from aerial parts of Heracleum bivittatum with a relatively high concentration(13.5%)while bornyl acetate(5.1%)was also one of the main components in the EO from its aerial parts but was not detected in other Apiaceae species in the present *** databases help identify and control the quality of plant material studied from the family Apiaceae growing in Vietnam.

this study investigates the variations of microcystins(MCs)in water,cyanobacterial blooms,sediment,and aquatic organisms collected from the Dau Tieng Reservoir(DTR).*** liquid chromatography(HPLC)was employed to measure MC concentrations in various target *** indicate that Microcystis *** as the primary MC producer in the *** average concentrations of analyzed MCs in surface water ranged from 1.10 to 5.54μg/L,temporally and *** sediment,average concentrations varied from 0.15 to 1.13μg/g wet weight(WW)temporally and from 0.41 to 0.72μg/g WW *** were detected in different organs of fish species(Oreochromis *** Labiobarbus sp.)and in the entire soft tissues of bivalve(Corbicula sp.)and gastropod(Assiminea sp.).The highest observed MC concentration in July was 0.83±0.22μg/g WW in the intestines of fish Oreochromis *** presence of MCs in grass shrimp Palaemonetes *** observed solely in June,reaching a concentration of 0.28±0.19μg/g *** is the first report of MC accumulation in the grass shrimp Palaemonetes *** field *** the bivalve Corbicula sp.,the presence of analyzed MCs was consistent throughout the study period,except for March and September,with the highest concentrations in July at 0.77±0.1μg/g *** correlation analysis revealed significant positive correlations between MCs in water and sediment with MC concentrations in aquatic animals,indicating the potential transfer of MCs across different trophic *** estimated daily intake values for analyzed MCs indicate that fish collected from the DTR are considered safe for consumption,as long as only the edible organs,such as the muscle,are ***,bivalves or gastropods collected from the DTR are not safe for human *** study underscored the importance of monitoring MC accumulation in aquatic animals used as food to mitigate adverse effects on human health.

Lithium aluminate (LiAlO2) powder was synthesized by sol-gel with EDTA method. The resultant powders were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM) techniques. In addition, several thermoluminescence properties of synthesized LiAlO2 powder were reported. The results from X-ray diffraction (XRD), the powder prepared by sol-gel with EDTA method showed pure γ-phase when it was calcined at >900°C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the size of the lithium aluminate particles depended strongly on calcination temperature. The linearity is observed of synthesized LiAlO2 powder by sol-gel with EDTA with regression coefficient (R2) is 0.9971.

A palladium catalyst immobilized on superparaganetic nanoparticles was prepared with a palladium loading of 0.30 mmol/g. The catalyst was characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and nitrogen adsorption. The immobilized palladium catalyst was an efficient catalyst without added phosphine ligands for the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction of several aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid. The recovery of catalyst was simply by magnetic decantation in the presence of a magnet. The immobilized palladium catalyst can be reused many times without significant degradation in catalytic activity. No leaching of active palladium species into the reaction solution was detected.

Landslide susceptibility maps (LSMs) are very crucial for planningpolicies in hazardous areas. However, the accuracy and reliability ofLSMs depend on available data and the selection of suitable *** study is conducted to produce LSMs by combinations of machinelearning methods and weighting techniques for ha giang province,Vietnam, where has limited data. In study area, we gather 11 landslideconditioning factors and establish a landslide inventory *** the weights of classes (or factors) is very important toprepare data for machine learning methods to generate LSMs. Wefrst use frequency ratio (FR) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP)techniques to generate the weights. Then, random forest (RF), supportvector machine (SVM), logistic regression (LR), and AHP methods arecombined with FR and AHP weights to yield accurate and reliableLSMs. Finally, the performance of these methods is evaluated by fivestatistical metrics, ROC and R-index. The empirical results have shownthat RF is the best method in terms of R-index and the five metrics, *** rate (0.9661), FP rate (0.0), ACC (0.9835), MAE (0.0046), and RMSE(0.0350) for this study area. this study opens the perspective of weightbasedmachine learning methods for landslide susceptibility mapping.

Utilization and Satisfaction with HIV Services at 7 Provinces in Vietnam: A Cross-Sectional Study

The study was carried out to determine utilization and satisfaction with essential HIV services from HIV individuals and high-risk populations in 7 socioeconomic provinces nationwide. A cross-sectional approach was applied in the study. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews using self-report questionnaires. Findings from 2380 respondents indicated a high percentage of utilization as well as a high level of satisfaction, in particular among men who have sex with men (MSM) and female sex worker (FSW) sub-group. Needle, syringe, and condom programs had lower usage and satisfaction mean scores in comparison with other services. The proportion of people who used drugs (PWID) and participated in the needle and syringe program was 53.6%. HIV counseling and testing uptake proportion of overall respondents in the last 12 months was 82.2% while the rate of antiretroviral treatment among infected PWID was 74.9%. The level of satisfaction with treatment services was found to be higher than preventive interventions (p < 0.05). Analysis using univariable logistic regression suggested an association between some socioeconomic factors such as income, employment, educational attainment, and marital status with subjects’ satisfaction with several HIV services. Preventive services, especially needle, syringe and condom programs should be prioritized to scale up the coverage and effectiveness. Innovative approaches targeting at PWID should be promoted to increase their access to prevention programs as well as HIV care when needed.
