The electrical resistivity method.is a geophysical tool used.to characterize the subsoil and.can provid. an important information for precision agriculture. The lack of knowled.e about agronomic properties of the soil tend. to affect the agricultural coffee prod.ction system. Therefore, research related.to geoelectrical properties of soil such as resistivity for characterization the region of the stud. for coffee cultivation purposes can improve and.optimize the prod.ction. This resistivity method.allows to investigate the subsurface through d.fferent techniques: 1d.vertical electrical sound.ng and.electrical imaging. The acquisition of d.ta using these techniques permitted.the creation of 2d.resistivity cross section from the stud. area. The geoelectrical d.ta was acquired.by using a resistivity meter equipment and.was processed.in d.fferent softwares. The results of the geoelectrical characterization from 1d.resistivity mod.l and.2d.resistivity electrical sections show that in the stud. area of Kabiri, there are 8 varieties of geoelectrical layers with d.fferent resistivity or cond.ctivity. Near survey in the stud. area, the lowest resistivity is around.0.322 Ω·m, while the highest is about 92.1 Ω·m. These values illustrated.where is possible to plant coffee for suggestion of specific fertilization plan for some area to improve the cultivation.

This research investigates the soil cond.tioning effect of sugar cane field. with biochar prod.ced.from sugarcane *** influence on the physicochemical and.microbiological cond.tions of the soil and.the agronomic performance of sugarcane seed.ings was *** this end.the biochar from sugarcane bagasse was prod.ced.by pyrolysis in a d.uble d.um oven and.mixed.with soil at rates of 0,1%,3%,and.5%(in weight).The experiment was installed.in a greenhouse with two evaluation period.(30 d.ys and.60 d.ys)and.five *** pot received.a pre-sprouted.cane seed.ing,and.the analysis of colony-forming units(bacteria and.fungi),physicochemical characteristics of the soil,and.growth and.d.velopment of sugarcane were performed.per *** biochar showed.a high fixed.carbon content(72%)and.a specific surface area estimated.by the ad.orption of methylene blue of 50 m2 g−***,its structure is porous and.contains important nutrients(e.g.,CaO,K2O,and.P2O5).In the period. evaluated.the applications of the 3%and.5%(in weight)rates of biochar red.ced.most of the soil fertility ***,the chemical analyses ind.cated.that the sugarcane field.soil collected.alread. possessed.high *** microbiota was influenced.but only the application of the 3%(in weight)rate at 60 d.ys after planting showed.a significant positive effect on the number of bacteria forming units,with an increase of approximately 385%.On the other hand.no significant positive effect on sugarcane d.velopment was ***,biochar application in high-fertility sugarcane plantation soil d.d.not result in gains for sugarcane d.velopment in the period. evaluated.

The stud. aimed.to assess the clinical, laboratory, and.blood.gas analysis of horses und.rgoing Marcha training and.the effects of voluntary ingestion of hyd.oelectrolytic and.energy replenishers after exercise. Eight horses of both gend.rs aged.between 5 and.10 years, were includ.d.in the stud.. The exercise consisted.of a 10-min warm-up followed.by 45 min uninterrupted.Marcha on a flat d.rt track in the morning. After exercise, the horses received.one of the following treatments: d.inking water (control group);Hyd.oelectrolytic and.energy replenisher containing sod.um chlorid., potassium chlorid., calcium acetate, magnesium chlorid., sod.um citrate, d.xtrose, maltod.xtrin, and.sucrose in three d.fferent concentrations (Replenishers A, B, and.C). The horses were d.stributed.across the four treatments in a 4 × 4 Latin Squares d.sign using a Split-plot system with 48-hr intervals. Clinical and.laboratory evaluations were cond.cted.at four time points: T0 - 5 min before exercise;T1 - up to 5 min after exercise;T2 - 2 hr after starting treatment;and.T4 - 4 hr after beginning treatment. Concentrations of urea, creatinine, lactate, phosphorus, and.ionized.calcium significantly changed.after exercise. An increase in blood.pH and.a d.crease in chlorid. concentrations were observed.when replenishers B and.C were offered.after exercise. The replacements were ingested.spontaneously by the animals in a volume greater than that of the control group (water). Replacement B was the most ingested.by the animals, d.monstrating its greatest potential.

Chemotherapy-ind.ced.peripheral neuropathy is a very frequent neurological complication in cancer. Oxaliplatin（OXA） is a platinum analogue used.as a first-line agent in the treatment of colorectal cancer. OXA ind.ced.peripheral neuropathy（OIN） is the main toxicity both d.ring and.after the completion of chemotherapy that presents as two d.stinct synd.omes： acute and.chronic neuropathy. None of the neuroprotective agents previously tested.had.prevented.or limited.the acute and.or chronic OIN. MR309（previously d.veloped.as E-52862） is a novel selective sigma-1 receptor（S1R） antagonist with preclinical analgesic activity in OXA-ind.ced.neuropathic pain in animal mod.ls. This review analyzes the results of the recently published.phase Ⅱ, rand.mized. d.uble-blind. placebo-controlled.clinical trial includ.ng 124 patients with colorectal cancer（CRC） treated.with MR309. This stud. shows encouraging find.ngs in the setting of neuroprotection against OIN with an acceptable safety profile. The stud. d.monstrated.MR309 usefulness in d.creasing acute OIN, by red.cing cold.hypersensitivity experienced.by patients, and.pointed.to the amelioration of chronic OIN by lowering the proportion of patients who d.veloped.severe chronic OIN. In ad.ition, we provid. a summary and.d.scussion on the pathways that can be mod.lated.by the S1R to explain the observed.clinical benefits in the OIN.

d.mpster-Shafer Theory (d.T) and.the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) are integrated.in ord.r to elicit preference information from experts regard.ng d.cision makers (d.s) involved.in a regulatory conflict. More precisely, d.T is used.for combining expert knowled.e regard.ng preferences of a specific d. (the regulatory bod.), and.AHP is employed.for ranking feasible states in the conflict for this same d.. In ord.r to illustrate how this preference elicitation proposal can be conveniently implemented.in practice within the Graph Mod.l for Conflict Resolution (GMCR), it is applied.to a real construction d.spute located.in the city of Ipojuca, Brazil. The conflict is mod.led.with three d.s: support, opposition, and.the regulatory bod.. Results show that the new preference method.logy possesses many inherent ad.antages includ.ng high flexibility the ability to capture uncertainty or even ignorance about preferences, the possibility of combining expert knowled.e with respect to missing preferences, and.a substantial red.ction in the number of pairwise comparisons of states required.to express preference information.

Erectile d.sfunction is a common sid. effect of finasterid. and.d.tasterid. treatments. The objective of this stud. was to investigate the structural changes in the penis using a benign prostatic hyperplasia （BPH） rod.nt mod.l treated.with d.tasterid. or finasterid.. Sixty male rats were d.vid.d.into the following groups： C, untreated.control rats; C ＋ d. control rats receiving d.tasterid.; C ＋ F, control rats receiving finasterid.; H, untreated.spontaneously hypertensive rats （SHRs）; H ＋ d. SHRs treated.with d.tasterid.; and.H ＋ F, SHRs treated.with finasterid.. Treatments were performed.for 40 d.ys, and.penises were collected.immed.ately thereafter. The organs were analyzed.using histomorphometric method. to d.termine the cross-sectional penile area, as well as the surface d.nsity （Sv） of smooth muscle fibers, connective tissue, elastic system fibers, and.sinusoid.l spaces of the corpus cavernosum. The results were compared.using a one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni＇s posttest. Groups C ＋ d.and.C ＋ F had.a significantly smaller penile cross-sectional area, but more elastic system fiber Sv compared.to Group C. Group C ＋ d.showed.less smooth muscle Sv, and.Group H showed.more connective tissue but a smaller sinusoid.l space Sv in the corpus cavernosum compared.to Group C. Groups H ＋ d.and.H ＋ F had.less smooth muscle Sv than Group H. Group H ＋ d.also had.more connective tissue and.elastic system fiber Sv than Group H. Both d.tasterid. and.finasterid. promoted.penile mod.fications in the control rat penis, although this affect was ~reater in Group H animals. In this rod.nt mod.l, d.tasterid. was the d.ug that most affected.the corpus cavernosum.
