＜正＞ End system multicast is regarded as a promising architecture for multimedia group communications over the Internet. In this paper we discuss how to integrate adaptation capability from the application and flexible multicast functionality from End system multicast for pre-stored video streaming applications. First we propose a generalized intelligent packetization approach to differentiate information with different priorities within or between bitstreams. Then we describe the enhanced End system multicast scheme to support adaptive applications. We also present a fast and simple packet-level rate adaptation mechanism with simple logical and arithmetic operators for the proposed End system multicast. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach can achieve smooth quality streaming simultaneously to different receivers.

This paper presents an efficient method for implementing visibility analysis on complex landscapes based on an improved LOS (line of sight) algorithm. The method determines the viewshed by analyzing the geometric relationship between the target points and viewpoint. It differentiates the visibility of the target points by the elevation information. Eventually the visual results related to the given viewpoint are rendered on three-dimensional landscapes. The visibility of some target points is computed by comparing their elevations with the viewpoint's height, thus is able to enhance the efficiency of the visibility analysis. This method can not only be applied in the visibility analysis of forest scenes, but also used in the analysis of the urban environment. Experiments show that the proposed method results in high efficiency and precision.

To improve the performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell（PEMFC） stack,it is important to avoid the hydrogen and oxygen/air starvation of electrochemical reaction,prevent the dehydration and drying of the membrane,and track the output *** paper conducts research in a comprehensive control strategy of the operation parameters of an uninterruptible power system（UPS） with backup PEMFC and battery power sources,such as the thermal management and control of operating temperature,pressures and mass flows of hydrogen and air for the PEMFC stack,switch of the power supply between PEMFC and battery for UPS,and the output power tracking of *** on the dynamic model of the anode and cathode flow system,the models of manifold and the performance curve,a detail model analysis is presented.A comprehensive control method is proposed and applied to the PEMFC system employed for the power source of *** experimental results show that the comprehensive control method can effectively keep constant pressures of the inlet hydrogen and air,automatically switch the power supply between PEMFC and battery,reasonably improve the performance of the PEMFC through thermal management and control of operating temperature,and track the real-time changes of the output power and the distribution of the mass flows of hydrogen and oxygen/air.

With the wide application of permanent magnet synchronous motors（PMSMs）,particularly the surface mounted type,the limitations of the conventional PMSM model have become apparent,in which no saturation saliency is *** a result,the numerical simulation is not applicable for the initial rotor position estimation,which is vital for sensorless motor *** avoid the difficulty for developing new initial rotor position estimation techniques through the process of experimental trial and error,a new PMSM model is presented in this *** presented model considers both structural and saturation saliencies,enabling fast and cost-effective numerical trial and error for new initial rotor position detection methods. Unlike the constant apparent inductances in the conventional model,the nonlinear self and mutual incremental inductances in the proposed model are expressed by Fourier series and experimentally determined by a specific method to reflect the structural and saturation saliencies,which exist in both salient-and nonsalient-pole *** on the proposed model and the measured inductance patterns,an initial rotor position estimation scheme is numerically simulated and experimentally tested.

＜正＞Thanks to its unique properties, such as isotropic magnetic and thermal properties and low eddy current loss, the soft magnetic composite （SMC） material is suitable for application in electrical machines, especially those with complex structures and three-dimensional （3D） magnetic fluxes. This paper presents the performance analysis of a three-stack permanent magnet （PM） claw pole motor with an SMC stator core. 3D finite element magnetic analysis and improved formulations are applied to accurately compute the motor parameters, such as the back electromotive force, incremental inductance, cogging torque, and core loss. An equivalent electrical circuit is derived to predict the motor’s steady-state performance under a brushless DC control scheme. Because of the large winding inductance of this type of motors, the control of the output torque and speed can be difficult. To verify the motor controllability, a Matlab/Simulink-based simulation model is compiled to simulate the motor dynamic and steady-state performances. Experiments are conducted on the motor prototype, validating the theoretical computations and analyses.
