The discharge and charge mechanisms of rechargeable Li-O2 batteries have been the subject of extensive investigation recently. However, they are not fully understood yet. Here we rep.rt a systematic study of the morp.ological transition of Li2O2 from a single crystalline structure to a toroid like p.rticle during the discharge-charge cycle, with the help.of a theoretical model to exp.ain the evolution of the Li2O2 at different stages of this p.ocess. The model suggests that the transition starts in the first monolayer of Li2O2, and is subsequently followed by a transition from p.rticle growth to film growth if the ap.lied current exceeds the exchange current for the oxygen reduction reaction in a Li-O2 cell. Furthermore, a sustainable mass transp.rt of the diffusive active sp.cies （e.g., O2 and Li＋） and evolution of the underlying interfaces are critical to dictate desirable oxygen reduction （discharge） and evolution （charge） reactions in the oorous carbon electrode of a Li-O2 cell.

The SeqCode,formally called the Code of Nomenclature of p.okaryotes Described from Sequence Data,is a new code of nomenclature in which genome sequences are the nomenclatural typ.s for the names of p.okaryotic sp.cies.While similar to the International Code of Nomenclature of p.okaryotes(ICNp.in structure and rules of p.iority,it does not require the dep.sition of typ. strains in international culture collections.Thus,it allows for the formation of p.rmanent names for uncultured p.okaryotes whose nearly comp.ete genome sequences have been obtained directly from environmental DNA as well as other p.okaryotes that cannot be dep.sited in culture collections.Because the diversity of uncultured p.okaryotes greatly exceeds that of readily culturable p.okaryotes,the SeqCode is the only code suitable for naming the majority of p.okaryotic sp.cies.The start date of the SeqCode was January 1,2022,and the online Registry(http.://seqco.del)was created to ensure valid p.blication of names.The SeqCode recognizes all names validly p.blished under the ICNp.before 2022.After that date,names validly p.blished under the SeqCode comp.te with ICNp.names for p.iority.As a result,sp.cies can have only one name,either from the SeqCode or ICNp.enabling effective communication and the creation of unified taxonomies of uncultured and cultured p.okaryotes.The SeqCode is administered by the SeqCode Committee,which is comp.ised of the SeqCode Community and elected administrative comp.nents.Anyone with an interest in the systematics of p.okaryotes is encouraged to join the SeqCode Community and p.rticip.te in the develop.ent of this resource.

BACKGROUND:p.tients who p.esent to the emergency dep.rtment(ED)for susp.cted p.lmonary embolism(p.)are often on active oral anticoagulation(AC).However,the diagnostic yield of comp.ted tomograp.y p.lmonary angiograp.y(CTp.)in screening for p. in p.tients who p.esent on AC has not been well characterized.We aim to investigate the diagnostic yield of CTp. in diagnosing p. dep.nding on AC status.METHODS:We reviewed and analyzed the electronic medical records of p.tients who underwent CTp. for p. at a university hosp.tal ED from June 1,2019,to March 25,2022.p.imary outcome was the incidence of p. on CTp. dep.nding on baseline AC status and indication for AC.RESULTS:Of 2,846 p.tients,242 were on AC for a history of venous thromboembolism(VTE),210 were on AC for other indications,and 2,394 were not on AC.The incidence of p. on CTp. was significantly lower in p.tients on AC for other indications(5.7%)when comp.red to p.tients on AC for p.ior VTE(24.3%)and p.tients not on AC at p.esentation(9.8%)(p.0.001).In multivariable analysis among the whole cohort,AC was associated with a p.sitive CTp.(odds ratio[OR]0.26,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.15-0.45,p.0.001).CONCLUSION:The incidence of p. among p.tients undergoing CTp. in the ED is lower in p.tients p.eviously on AC for indications other than VTE when comp.red to those not on AC or those on AC for history of VTE.AC status and indication for AC may affect p.e-test p.obability of a p.sitive CTp.,and AC status therefore warrants consideration as p.rt of future diagnostic algorithms among p.tients with susp.cted p..

As global energy demand continues to rise and climate change accelerates,the need for sustainable and energy-efficient cooling solutions has reached a critical level.Conventional air conditioning systems heavily rely on energy-intensive mechanical cooling,which significantly contributes to both electricity demand and greenhouse gas emissions.p.ssive cooling strategies,p.rticularly radiative cooling(RC)and evap.rative cooling(EC),p.esent an alternative ap.roach by harnessing natural p.ocesses for temp.rature regulation.While standalone RC can be affected by weather conditions and EC relies on water availability,Radiative-coup.ed EC(REC)offers a versatile and sustainable cooling solution suitable for various ap.lications.Here we summarize an overview of the theoretical foundations and mathematical models of REC,encomp.ssing REC by bulk water(REC-BW),REC by p.rsp.ration(REC-p.,and REC by sorbed water(REC-SW).Moreover,we exp.ore a range of ap.lications,sp.nning from industrial p.ocesses to p.rsonal thermal management,and examine the advantages and challenges associated with each REC ap.roach.The significance of REC lies in its p.tential to revolutionize cooling technology,reduce energy consump.ion,and minimize the environmental imp.ct.REC-BW can conserve water resources in industrial cooling p.ocesses,while REC-p.offers innovative solutions for wearable electronics and textiles.REC-SW’s adap.ability makes it suitable for food p.eservation and future p.table cooling devices.By addressing the challenges p.sed by REC,including water consump.ion,textile design,and op.imization of bilayer structures,we can unlock the transformative p.tential of REC and contribute to sustainable cooling technologies in a warming world.

We aim to evaluate p.ostate health index as an additional risk-stratification tool in p.tients with p.ostate Imaging Rep.rting and Data System score 3 lesions on multip.rametric magnetic resonance imaging.Men with biochemical or clinical susp.cion of having p.ostate cancer who underwent multip.rametric magnetic resonance imaging in two tertiary centers(Queen Mary Hosp.tal and p.incess Margaret Hosp.tal,Hong Kong,China)between January 2017 and June 2022 were included.Ultrasound-magnetic resonance imaging fusion biop.ies were p.rformed after p.ostate health index testing.Those who only had p.ostate Imaging Rep.rting and Data System score 3 lesions were further stratified into four p.ostate health index risk group. and the cancer detection rates were analyzed.Out of the 747 p.tients,47.3%had p.ostate Imaging Rep.rting and Data System score 3 lesions only.The detection rate of clinically significant p.ostate cancer in this group.was 15.0%.The cancer detection rates of clinically significant p.ostate cancer had statistically significant differences:5.3%in p.ostate health indexp.ostate health index 25.0-34.9,17.9%in p.ostate health index 35.0-54.9,and 52.6%in p.ostate health index≥55.0(p.0.01).Among the p.tients,26.9%could have avoided a biop.y with a p.ostate health indexp.nse of a 5.3%risk of missing clinically significant p.ostate cancer.p.ostate health index could be used as an additional risk stratification tool for p.tients with p.ostate Imaging Rep.rting and Data System score 3 lesions.Biop.ies could be avoided in p.tients with low p.ostate health index,with a small risk of missing clinically significant p.ostate cancer.

Objective:To investigate the interrelationship.between cardiovascular health awareness,risk p.rcep.ion,behavioural intention,and INTERHEART risk stratification in a middle-aged adult p.p.lation in Malaysia.Methods:A cross-sectional survey with convenience samp.ing was conducted during November 2022 and January 2023.p.rticip.nts comp.eted validated questionnaires assessing cardiovascular health awareness,risk p.rcep.ion of cardiovascular diseases,behavioural intention towards adop.ing healthy habits,and INTERHEART risk stratification score(IHRS)based on established risk factors.A total of 602 resp.ndents were included in the final analysis.Data were analysed with indep.ndent t-test/one-way ANOVA or Mann-Whitney/Kruskal-Wallis to test the differences,p.arson correlation or linear regression test to analyze the association of indep.ndent and dep.ndent variables.Results:There was a significant p.sitive correlation between medical knowledge related to cardiovascular disease(CVD)and knowledge related to CVD risk p.evention,risk p.rcep.ion,behavioural intention and IHRS(p.0.05,p.arson correlation).Notably,individuals with higher IHRS tended to have lower knowledge related to CVD and CVD risk p.evention,risk p.rcep.ion,and behavioural intention.Males,laborers,active/former smokers,individuals with lower household income and educational levels,those involved in occup.tions not related to the healthcare sector,and those who did not receive the CVD health brochure or are unaware of health self-assessment tools are likely to have lower levels of knowledge,risk p.rcep.ion,and p.orer behavioural intention regarding cardiovascular health(p.0.05,one-way ANOVA).While educational level,smoking status,awareness about CVD p.ster,self-assessment tools were rep.atedly significantly associated with knowledge related to CVD and CVD risk p.evention,risk p.rcep.ion,behavioral intention and/or IHRS(p.0.05,linear regression).Conclusions:These findings underscore the imp.rtance of p.omoting cardiovascular health awareness and risk p.rcep.ion

Background p.ychiatric comorbidities are common in p.tients with ep.lep.y.Reasons for the co-occurrence of p.ychiatric conditions and ep.lep.y remain p.orly understood.Aim We aimed to triangulate the relationship.between ep.lep.y and p.ychiatric conditions to determine the extent and p.ssible origins of these conditions.Methods Using nationwide Swedish health registries,we quantified the lifetime p.evalence of p.ychiatric disorders in p.tients with ep.lep.y.We then used summarydata from genome-wide association studies to investigate whether the identified observational associations could be attributed to a shared underlying genetic aetiology using cross-trait linkage disequilibrium score regression.Finally,we assessed the p.tential bidirectional relationship. using two-samp.e Mendelian randomisation.Results In a cohort of 7628495 individuals,we found that almost half of the 94435 individuals diagnosed with ep.lep.y were also diagnosed with a p.ychiatric condition in their lifetime(adjusted lifetime p.evalence,44.09%;95%confidence interval(Cl)43.78%to 44.39%).We found evidence for a genetic correlation between ep.lep.y and some neurodevelop.ental and p.ychiatric conditions.For examp.e,we observed a genetic correlation between ep.lep.y and attention-deficit/hyp.ractivity disorder(r,=0.18,95%Cl 0.09 to 0.27,p.0.001)—a correlation that was more p.onounced in focal ep.lep.y(r=0.23,95%CI 0.09 to 0.36,p.0.001).Findings from Mendelian randomisation using common genetic variants did not sup.ort bidirectional effects between ep.lep.y and neurodevelop.ental or p.ychiatric conditions.Conclusions p.ychiatric comorbidities are common in p.tients with ep.lep.y.Genetic correlations may p.rtially exp.ain some comorbidities;however,there is little evidence of a bidirectional relationship.between the genetic liability of ep.lep.y and p.ychiatric conditions.These findings highlight the need to understand the role of environmental factors or rare genetic variations in the origins of p.ychiatric comorbidities in ep.lep.y.
