Activated carbon nanofibers(ACNFs)with small diameter can significantly increase the accessibility of intra pores and accelerate adsorption of molecules from *** this study,ACNFs were made by blending K_(2)CO_(3)or ZnCl_(2)as the activating agent into the polyacrylonitrile(PAN)in dimethylformamide solution for electrospinning prior to ***-A(BPA),an endocrine disruption pollutant,is widely applied in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy ***,BPA is often used as a model contaminant commonly removed via *** adsorption studies were used to evaluate the kinetics and adsorption capacity of the ***-peterson(R-P)and Langmuir models were found to fit the isotherm of BPA adsorption better than Freundlich model,showing the homogeneous nature of the PAN originated *** adsorption kinetics was better described by the pseudo second-order model than that by the pseudo first-order *** fitting by intraparticle diffusion model indicates the adsorption of BPA onto ACNFs is mainly controlled by pore *** pH value and ionic strength reduced BPA adsorption from aqueous *** breakthrough curves studied in two different fixed bed systems(cross flow bed system and packed flow bed system)confirmed the scalability of BPA removal by ACNFs in dynamic adsorption *** modified dose-response model predicted well the fixed-bed outlet concentration profiles.

Lipid droplets,with oleosin embedded in the half-unit membrane appear to be ubiquitous and are found almost across the plant kingdom;while oil body,bounded by a single unit membrane containing lipophilic globules suspended in a proteinaceous matrix,are thought to be a unique character of *** structural protein oleosins,prevent the cytoplasm lipid droplets from aggregating or collapsing,however,the function of the oil body outside membrane has not yet *** explored whether liverworts,the earliest split of land plants,have oleosin *** marchantia polymorpha,one predicted sequence was found that could encode oleosin,possessing the hallmark of oleosin,Pro knot(-PX5SPX3P-).The evolution of oleosin in land plants was reconstructed based on the DNA and amino acid sequences of oleosins,involved in 26 representative species,covered almost all the main lineages of land *** the phylogenetic tree,oleosin genes were characterized into three groups.m-oleosins,were evaluated and defined as a novel group from the previous two,low molecular weight isoform(L-oleosin) and high molecular weight isoform(H-oleosin),according to their amino-acid organization,phylogenetic criteria,expression tissues,and immunological *** basal lineages of land plants,including liverworts,mosses,lycophytes,and gymnosperms,only m-oleosins have been *** later evolution,this isoform oleosins remain and express in the anigosperm gametophyte,pollen *** tree analyses suggest that m-oleosins should as a precursor,then sister to the ancestor of L-oleosins and *** the genomic level,almost half of oleosins do not have *** has,Both in the L-isoform and the m-isoform,one intron inserts behind the proline knot motif,while in the H-isoform,one intron just locates immediately before the proline knot motif encoding *** the finding of oleosin encoding sequence in liverworts,the gene has strong sequence homology and structural similarity

用真空电弧炉熔制了六种成分的 Ni-Cu-Re 合金,当 Re 量(?)5at.-%时,除了 Ni(Cu,Re)固溶相外还出现 Re(Ni,Cu)相。用旋转式销盘高温摩擦试验机测定了这几种合金的摩擦系数随温度变化规律,证实高温摩擦系数降低至0.2—0.3。通过摩擦系数转变温度及磨损系数与 Re 量关系找出了合金的合适含 Re 量(7.5at.-%)。用 SEm 观察了室温到700℃下的磨痕,确认了氧化膜层的减摩作用。

BACKGROUND： Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by chronic pain, fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbances. Its primary cause is unclear. Several studies have reported decreased intracellular magnesium levels in patients with fibromyalgia and have found negative correlation between magnesium levels and fibromyalgia symptoms.OBJECTIVE： To gather preliminary data on whether transdermal magnesium can improve quality of life for women who have fibromyalgia. DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS AND INTERVENTIONS： This is a patient questionnaires and survey in a fibremyalgia clinic at a tertiary medical center. Forty female patients with the diagnosis of fibremyalgia were enrolled. Each participant was provided a spray bottle containing a transdermal magnesium chloride solution and asked to apply 4 sprays per limb twice daily for 4 weeks. Participants were asked to complete the Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire, SF-36v2 Health Survey, and a quality-of-life analog scale at baseline, week 2, and week 4. mAIN OUTCOmE mEASURE： Questionnaire and survey scores, evaluated through intent-to-treat and per-protocol analyses. RESULTS： Twenty-four patients completed the study （mean [SD] age, 57.2 [7.6] years; white, 95%; mean body mass index, 31.3 kg/m2）. With intention-to-treat analysis, Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire subscale and total scores were significantly improved at week 2 and week 4 （total score, P = 0.001）. Per-protocol analysis results were similar： all subscales of the Revised Fibremyalgia Impact Questionnaire were significantly improved at week 2 and week 4 （total score, P = 0.001）. CONCLUSION： This pilot study suggests that transdermal magnesium chloride applied on upper and lower limbs may be beneficial to patients with fibromyalgia.

已设计出70mm像幅的变倍光学透镜系统。该系统有20个光学元件,变焦范围为345mm—1050mm,能在可见光谱范围内进行适当的彩色校正。直径4英寸的窗口决定了光学透镜系统的F数。用macPlus计算机操纵步进电机,该透镜系统就可工作。这个透镜系统是为洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室m-8设计的,由于它不是商用变焦镜头,所以在5m调焦距离上其放大率应从1/15变化到1/14。此外,要求用旋转反射镜式超快速扫描照相机可将大尺寸的非标准像幅记录下来。Nikkor镜头的最短调焦距离为6m。

AIm To investigate the use of a multidisciplinary, longitudinal simulation to educate pediatric residents and nurses on management of pediatric diabetic *** A multidisciplinary, multiple step simulation course was developed by faculty and staff using a modified Delphi method from the Pediatric Simulation Center and pediatric endocrinology department. Effectiveness of the simulation for the residents was measured with a pre- and post-test and a reference group not exposed to simulation. A follow up post-test was completed 3-6 mo after the simulation. Nurses completed a survey regarding the education activity. RESULTS Pediatric and medicine-pediatric residents(n = 20) and pediatric nurses(n = 25) completed the simulation course. Graduating residents(n = 16) were used as reference group. Pretest results were similar in the control and intervention group(74% ± 10% vs 76% ± 15%, P = 0.658). After completing the intervention, participants improved in the immediate post-test in comparison to themselves and the control group(84% ± 12% post study; P mo follow up post-test results demonstrated knowledge decay when compared to their immediate post-test results(78% ± 14%, P = 0.761). Residents and nurses felt the interdisciplinary and longitudinal nature of the simulation helped with *** Results suggest a multidisciplinary, longitudinal simulation improves immediate post-intervention knowledge but important knowledge decay occurs, future studies are needed to determine ways to decrease this decay.

A study was conducted to develop low-friction, wear-resistant surfaces on high temperature alloys for the temperature range from 26℃ to 900℃. The approach investigated consists of modifying the naturally occurring oxide film in order to improve its tribological properties. Improvement is needed at low temperatures where the oxide film, previously formed at high temperature, spalls due to stresses induced by sliding. Experiments with Ti, W and Ta additions show a beneficial effect when added to Ni and Ni-base alloys. Low friction can be maintained down to 100℃ from 900℃. For unalloyed Ni friction and surface damage increases at 400℃ to 500℃. Two new alloys were perpared based on the beneficial results of binary alloys and ZrO2 diffusion in *** friction at temperature above 500℃ and reasonable values (0.32~0.42) at low temperature are obtained.
