Hepatitis C virus(HCV) infects more than 170 million people worldwide,and thereby becomes a series global health *** infection with HCV is considered one of the major causes of end-stage liver disease including cirrhosis and hepatocellular *** the multiple functions of the HCV proteins and their impacts on the modulation of the intracellular signaling transduction processes,the drive of carcinogenesis during the infection with HCV,is thought to result from the interactions of viral proteins with host cell ***,the induction of mutator phenotype,in liver,by the expression of HCV proteins provides a key mechanism for the development of HCV-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).HCC is considered one of the most common malignancies worldwide with increasing incidence during the past *** many countries,the trend of HCC is attributed to several liver diseases including HCV ***,the development of HCC is very complicated and results mainly from the imbalance between tumor suppressor genes and oncogenes,as well as from the alteration of cellular factors leading to a genomic *** the poor prognosis of HCC patients,this type of tumor is quite resistance to the available ***,understanding the molecular mechanisms,which are implicated in the development of HCC during the course of HCV infection,may help to design a general therapeutic protocol for the treatment and/or the prevention of this *** review summarizes the current knowledge of the molecular mechanisms,which are involved in the development of HCV-associated HCC and the possible therapeutic strategies.

Effect of Limiting Access to Drinking Water on Carcass Characteristics, Meat Quality and Kidneys of Rabbits

Feed restriction is a common practice to reduce post weaning digestive disorders in rabbits and to get carcasses with less fat. Hydric restriction is commonly used to induce feed restriction in growing rabbits. Two hydric restriction times (2 h and 4 h per day, continuously) were used in our trial carried in good sanitary conditions. Thirty six rabbits were divided at weaning (28 days) into three groups: R2 with restricted access to drinking water from 35 days to 80 days age of 2 h per day (from 8 a. m. to 10 a. m.), R4: access to drinking water 4 h per day (from 8 a. m. to 12 a. m.) and T (control group) with unlimited access to drinking water. Six animals from each group were slaughtered at 80 days of age. Carcass measurements and meat quality were studied. Histological study for kidneys was carried out. Relative weight of gastrointestinal tract increases with the degree of restriction: 16.5, 18.4 and 18.9 for T, R4 and R2, respectively (P < 0.05). Perirenal fat was lower in restricted groups but differences were not statically significant. Scapular fat decreases of 2/3 or 1/3 respectively with limiting access to drinking water of 2 h or 4 h per day. Compared to control group (T), meat of restricted groups contains more water: 70.3%, 70% and 69.3% respectively for R4, R2 and T (P < 0.01). The same tendency was observed for proteins: 19.2%, 19.3% and 17.7% for groups R2, R4 and T. Fat decreases in meat of restricted animals: 8.4%, 8.2% and 8.1% respectively for T, R4 and R2 (P < 0.05). Water restriction induced decrease of carcass and meat adiposity. There were no differences between pH post mortem and pH ultimate (after 24 h) between the three groups. Hydric restriction does not effect on kidney histology.

Iron-containing SBA-15 catalysts have been prepared following different synthesis routes, direct synthesis by adjusting pH at 3 and 6 and with post synthesis procedure. Activity and stability of these materials were assessed on the photo-Fenton degradation of phenolic aqueous solutions by H2O2 using near ultraviolet irradiation (254 nm) at room temperature and initial neutral pH. Their catalytic performance was mentioned in terms of phenol and TOC (total organic carbon) conversions. Several complementary techniques, including X-ray, nitrogen sorption isotherms, UV (Ultraviolet) visible, were used to evaluate the final structural and textural properties of calcined Fe-SBA15 materials. These materials show a high activity and stability of iron species.

Evolution of the Pore Size Distribution in Nanoporous Alumina Membranes with Anodization Voltage in Oxalic Acid

The effect of voltage on nanopores formed via electrochemical anodization of high purity Aluminum was investigated. The electrochemical bath consisted of a 0.3 M oxalic acid electrolyte. A platinum electrode was used as the counter-electrode, and an aluminum sheet as the anode. The anodization process was carried out at a temperature of 7 °C at various voltages ranging from 30 to 55V. It was observed that during the anodizing process, both the current density and the nanopore size increase as the applied voltage increases. The morphology and the distribution of nanopores were analyzed by SEM (Scanning electron microscope). It was found that mean pore diameter increased from 43 to 100 nm as the voltage is increased from 30 to 55 V. the polydispersity of the pore size was found to be minimum at 40 V.

Cross-Sectional Study of the Prevalence of Obesity Among Adults in Constantine

In Algeria, as in all countries in the developing world, obesity has become more and more common in adults, suggesting a worsening of risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes for these generations. This study aims to assess the prevalence of obesity by anthropometry in adults in the city of Constantine over the year 2010-2011, and to explore its relationship with certain determining factors. A cross-sectional study with cluster sampling and stratification on sex allowed us to estimate the frequency of all categories of BMI. For this purpose, 320 adults living in Constantine were interviewed. In 2011, the prevalence of obesity was 35.84%. Women are more affected by obesity than men (40.83% vs. 22.08%). The prevalence of abdominal obesity, according to IDF, was 81.0% for women vs. 56.2% for men; according to NCEP ATP III, it was 64.3% in women vs. 35.9% in men. Obesity is more common in families of low socioeconomic status. Similarly, level of education and obesity are inversely correlated. People who have a sedentary lifestyle are more likely to be obese than those who are physically active. Obesity is a serious condition that results in significant health care costs. There is a need to undertake epidemiological surveillance in childhood. Urgent preventive actions are required. Promotion of a healthy balanced diet and physical exercise is a priority in the prevention of obesity.

目的:探讨去氢骆驼蓬碱衍生物DH-332对人结肠癌细胞株HCT116体外侵袭能力的影响。方法:不同浓度去氢骆驼蓬碱衍生物DH-332作用于人结肠癌细胞株HCT116后,采用细胞划痕,细胞黏附,Tran-swell侵袭实验检测去氢骆驼蓬碱衍生物DH-332对HCT116细胞体外迁移和侵袭力的影响。结果:不同浓度去氢骆驼蓬碱衍生物DH-332作用于HCT116细胞后,细胞划痕实验显示细胞迁移能力较对照组低;细胞黏附实验和Transwell侵袭实验显示DH-332作用后,细胞的黏附,侵袭能力降低,并呈时间和剂量依赖性(P<0.05)。结论:去氢骆驼蓬碱的衍生物DH-332可以抑制人结肠癌细胞HCT116体外侵袭能力。

Chromium-incorporated mesoporous silica materials (MCrS) have been successfully prepared in strong acidic media by assembly of preformed CrS1 precursors with triblock copolymer of the Pluronic type (P123) by a two steps procedure. Various techniques including XRD, N2 adsorption, FT-IR spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance UV-vis (DRUV-vis) and EPR were employed for the materials characterization. MCrS materials have a hexagonal structure with uniform mesopores and contain Cr(V) and Cr(VI) under low and high Cr content and that the mesoporous walls contain the MFI structure building units.
