Inactivated cell catalysis is one of several central techniques in green biomanufacturing ***,the instability and leakage of enzymes in inactivated cell severely restrict the practical applications of inactivated cell *** armor on the surface of inactivated cells affords a feasible and effective strategy to enhance the stability of cells while commonly lowering the ***,polymer-silica hybrid armor(PSHA)is directly generated on the surface of enzyme-containing *** branched structure of PEI enables higher porosity of cell@PSHA,exhibiting 1.52-fold enhancement in substrate permeability by contrast with cell@silica armor(SA).The electrostatic interactions(NH_(3)^(+)with O^(−))and hydrogen bonding(N⋯H or O⋯H)interactions between structural units enables higher stability of cell@PSHA,showing 3.13-fold elevation in Young's modulus compared with cell@*** a result,the cell@PSHA can catalyze continuous conversion of starch to tagatose for 15 batches over 969 h,with an average yield of 77.76 g L^(−1).

The Lundberg–Palmgren(L–P)fatigue life formula,as a statistical fatigue theory,has been widely used in the ***,its direct applicability is limited to the components treated by surface strengthening *** contact fatigue tests and surface integrity measurements of American Iron and Steel Institute(AISI)9310 rollers with several surface treatments were performed to address this *** on these results,a modified L–P fatigue model was proposed,enabling the consideration of surface modification including surface roughness,residual stress,and hardening introduced by different surface *** with the original L–P fatigue formula,its results are more accurate for surface strengthened ***,this method can assess the contact fatigue life of gears treated by surface strengthening techniques.

Jigsaw-Sketch: a fast and accurate algorithm for finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks

Finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks is one of the most fundamental network measurement tasks. It is more challenging than per-flow size estimation since the IDs and sizes of top-k flows must be tracked simultaneously. Most existing studies only record the IDs of a small number of elephant flows to fit their estimators in the extremely limited high-speed on-chip memory. However, these solutions need too many memory accesses when a packet arrives to track the elephant flows with high accuracy, which limits their practicability. Therefore, this paper proposes Jigsaw-Sketch, a new algorithm to find the top-k elephant flows with much fewer memory accesses while achieving high memory efficiency and accuracy. In this design, we propose a novel two-stage jigsaw storage scheme, which can capture the candidate top-k flows from massive network steams efficiently, and further find the top-k elephant flows with high memory efficiency and only a few memory accesses for each packet. Extensive experimental results based on real network traces show that Jigsaw-Sketch improves the packet processing throughput by at least 86%, while achieving smaller memory footprints and higher accuracy compared to the SOTA.

To promote the stability and efficiency,quadruple-cation perovskite system(blending of MA,FA,Cs,I,Br,etc)was introduced to substitute the traditional MAPbI3 *** films degraded by water can be recovered by a simple *** PbI2 residues decomposed from perovskite were transformed into perovskite again,which gave rise to remarkably boosted optical properties,drastically improved film morphology and largely suppressed *** efficiency of the repairing method was testified by fieldemission scanning electron microscopy,atomic force microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and so *** power conversion efficiency of fixed perovskite solar cells improved from around 3%to 15.78%(0.16 cm^2,mask area),and 12.56%at area of 1 cm^2,which prove that this method is very effective.

To determine the contribution of non-repetitive domains to the bioactivity of the heavy chain in silk fibroin(SF)macromolecules,a gene motif f(1)encoding this fragment and its multimers(f(4)and f(8))were biosynthesized from Escherichia coli *** on the positive application potential of SF materials for the vascular tissue engineering,this study focused on examining the active response of these polypeptides to vascular endothelial *** polypeptides F(1),F(4),and F(8)were separately grafted onto the surfaces of bioinert polyethylene terephthalate(PET)films,resulting in remarkable improvements in the spread and proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).Using the same grafting dose,the activity of cells on polypeptide-modified PET films enhanced with the increase of the molecular weight of those grafted polypeptides from F(1)to F(8).Meanwhile,the growth of cells on the surface of the alkaline-treated PET film was improved,indicating that the hydrophilicity of the surface material had influence on the growth of ***,on surfaces with the same water contact angle,the spread and proliferation activity of cells on PET films were significantly lower than those on polypeptide-modified PET films.

Organic matter-induced mineralization is a green and versatile method for synthesizing hybrid nanostructured materials,where the material properties are mainly influenced by the species of natural biomolecules,linear synthetic polymer,or small molecules,limiting their ***,we adopted dendrimer poly(amidoamine)(PAMAM)as the inducer to synthesize organosilica-PAMAM network(OSPN)capsules for mannose isomerase(MIase)encapsulation based on a hard-templating *** structure of OSPN capsules can be precisely regulated by adjusting the molecular weight and concentration of PAMAM,thereby demonstrating a substantial impact on the kinetic behavior of the MIase@OSPN *** MIase@OSPN system was used for catalytic production of mannose from Dfructose.A mannose yield of 22.24% was obtained,which is higher than that of MIase in organosilica network capsules and similar to that of the free *** overall catalytic efficiency(kcat/Km)of the MIase@OSPN system for the substrate D-fructose was up to 0.556 s^(-1)·mmol^(-1)·***,the MIase@OSPN system showed excellent stability and recyclability,maintaining more than 50% of the yield even after 12 cycles.

The DeGroot model is one of the most classical models in the field of opinion dynamics. The standard DeGroot model assumes that agents are homogeneous and update their opinions in the direction of a weighted average of their neighbors'*** natural question is whether a second type of agents could significantly change the main properties of the *** authors address this question by introducing rebels,who update their opinions toward the opposite of their neighbors' weighted *** authors find that the existence of rebels remarkably affects the opinion dynamics. Under certain mild conditions,the existence of a few rebels will lead the group opinion to the golden mean,regardless of the initial opinions of the agents and the structure of the learning *** result is completely different from that of the standard DeGroot model,where the final consensus opinion is determined by both the initial opinions and the learning *** study then provides new insights into understanding how heterogeneous individuals in a group reach consensus and why the golden mean is so common in human society.

Three-dimensional-structured metal oxides have myriad applications for optoelectronic *** to conventional lithography-based manufacturing methods which face significant challenges for 3D device architectures,additive manufacturing approaches such as direct ink writing offer convenient,on-demand manufacturing of 3D oxides with high resolutions down to sub-micrometer ***,the lack of a universal ink design strategy greatly limits the choices of printable ***,a universal,facile synthetic strategy is developed for direct ink writable polymer precursor inks based on metal-polymer coordination ***,polyethyleneimine functionalized by ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid is employed as the polymer matrix for adsorbing targeted metal ***,glucose is introduced as a crosslinker for endowing the polymer precursor inks with a thermosetting property required for 3D printing via the Maillard *** demonstrations,binary(i.e.,ZnO,CuO,In_(2)O_(3),Ga_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),and Y_(2)O_(3)) and ternary metal oxides(i.e.,BaTiO_(3) and SrTiO_(3)) are printed into 3D architectures with sub-micrometer resolution by extruding the inks through ultrafine *** thermal crosslinking and pyrolysis,the 3D microarchitectures with woodpile geometries exhibit strong light-matter coupling in the mid-infrared *** design strategy for printable inks opens a new pathway toward 3D-printed optoelectronic devices based on functional oxides.
