Atmospheric pressure plasma jet deposition of TiO_(2)layer on alumina/epoxy to improve electrical properties

In gas-insulated lines,basin-insulators can accumulate charge under non-uniform electric fields,distorting the field distribution and potentially causing surface flashover,which threatens the stability of power *** this study,Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet(APPJ)technology was used to deposit TiO_(2)on the surface of alumina/epoxy(Al_(2)O_(3)/EP)*** impact of deposition of TiO_(2)layer on the surface morphology and chemical composition of Al_(2)O_(3)/EP was studied using testing methods such as Scanning Electron Microscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer,and Energy Dispersive *** was found that APPJ creates a dense,rough Ti-O layer on the Al_(2)O_(3)/EP surface,which bonds tightly with the *** efficacy of APPJ was found to depend on processing time,with optimal results observed at 3 min,DC and AC flashover voltages increased by 29.6% and 15.7%,***_(2)layer enhances the conductivity of the resin and shallows trap *** the synergistic effects of various factors,surface charges are efficiently dissipated and evenly *** study not only reveals the physicochemical process of TiO_(2)deposition via APPJ but also integrates surface characteristics with electrical *** findings offer a new strategy to enhance surface flashover voltage and ensure equipment safety.

Machine Learning‑Based Detection of Graphene Defects with Atomic Precision

Defects in graphene can profoundly impact its extraordinary properties,ultimately influencing the performances of graphene-based *** to detect defects with atomic resolution in graphene can be technically demanding and involve complex sample *** alternative approach is to observe the thermal vibration properties of the graphene sheet,which reflects defect information but in an implicit *** learning,an emerging data-driven approach that offers solutions to learning hidden patterns from complex data,has been extensively applied in material design and discovery *** this paper,we propose a machine learning-based approach to detect graphene defects by discovering the hidden correlation between defect locations and thermal vibration *** prediction strategies are developed:an atom-based method which constructs data by atom indices,and a domain-based method which constructs data by domain *** show that while the atom-based method is capable of detecting a single-atom vacancy,the domain-based method can detect an unknown number of multiple vacancies up to atomic *** methods can achieve approximately a 90%prediction accuracy on the reserved data for testing,indicating a promising extrapolation into unseen future graphene *** proposed strategy offers promising solutions for the non-destructive evaluation of nanomaterials and accelerates new material discoveries.

Graphene oxide(GO)is playing an increasing role in many ***,it remains unanswered how to strategically distribute the functional groups to further enhance *** utilize deep reinforcement learning(RL)to design mechanically tough *** design task is formulated as a sequential decision process,and policy-gradient RL models are employed to maximize the toughness of *** show that our approach can stably generate functional group distributions with a toughness value over two standard deviations above the mean of random *** addition,our RL approach reaches optimized functional group distributions within only 5000 rollouts,while the simplest design task has 2×10^(11)***,we show that our approach is scalable in terms of the functional group density and the GO *** present research showcases the impact of functional group distribution on GO properties,and illustrates the effectiveness and data efficiency of the deep RL approach.

Nonlinear system identification framework of folding fins with freeplay using backbone curves

Due to wear and manufacturing tolerance,the freeplay is unavoidable in the hinges of folding fins,which exerts significant effects on the aerodynamic *** paper proposes a backbone-curve-based framework for the dynamical identification of folding fins containing the freeplay *** no need to measure the input force signal and the response signals of nonlinear related Degrees of Freedom(DOFs),the proposed method is more direct and elegant than most existing nonlinear identification approaches,and it contains three steps:Firstly,the underlying linear model of the folding fin structure is obtained through the modal test on its linear sub-parts,and then,the harmonic approximation solves the analytical expressions of the backbone curves of measurable ***,response data measured from the sine-sweep test are used to extract the fitting points of backbone curves for these ***,the curve fitting approach is applied to identify the freeplay parameters.A series of numerical experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.A real-life folding fin structure is also employed to illustrate how the method can be *** examples demonstrate that the identification framework can give an accurate dynamic model of the folding fin structure.

A Hot Cracking Initiation Criterion Based on Solidification Liquid Film Characteristic and Microstructure

Herein,a hot cracking initiation criterion based on the characteristics of solidification liquid film and the microstructure was proposed,which integrated both the mechanical and non-mechanical factors during *** criterion also took the effect of the shrinkage volume of the solid-liquid two-phase in the mushy zone,the flow behavior of the liquid film and the microstructure on the feeding behavior into ***,the effect factors of hot cracking initiation such as alloy composition,microstructure,mold design and process condition were included in this criterion,and it could quantitatively calculate whether hot cracks occurred under a certain state or not during *** criterion was utilized to predict whether hot cracks occurred in Al-4.0 wt%Cu alloy in different initial solidification states or not,which was consistent with the experimental results and verified its *** to the criterion expression,Vfeeding*was related with five effect factors includingη,ΔP*,l*,r*and n,in which r*and n were in positive correlation with Vfeeding*whileη,ΔP*and l*were in negative correlation with that,which provided a good instructive significance for mold design,process optimization and composition and microstructure regulation of alloys and simultaneously further enriched the mechanism and influencing factors of hot cracking ***,a multiscale simulation method for calculating the characteristic parameters of hot tearing behavior during solidification was also provided in this study.

A digital pulse analysis system is an important diagnostic system in nuclear physics experimental *** response to the demand for reflecting the particle state in a nuclear physics experiment,we have designed and developed a real-time digital pulse analysis system and applied it to the digital nuclear pulse waveform discrimination of different detectors in the HL-2M *** system is based on the peripheral component interconnect extensions for instrumentation(PXI)platform,while its software was written in *** key technologies involved in the system implementation include digital pulse analysis technology,digital discrimination technology,pulse height analysis technology,*** system has been applied to the plastic scintillator detector at the Neutron Source Lab of the University of Science and Technology of *** the experimental results indicate that the system can discriminate between neutron(n)particles and gamma(γ)particles well when used to measure the plastic scintillator detector.

Hot Deformation Behaviors in Ti-6Al-4V/(TiB+TiC)Composites

Thermal compression testing was investigated using the Gleeble 3800 thermal simulator,and thermal deformation behavior of particle-reinforced titanium matrix composites(TMCs)was studied under deformation temperatures of 750-900°C,strain rates of 0.001-1 s^(-1),and experimental deformation of 60%.According to obtained flow stress curves,the hot deformation characteristics were *** on the Arrhenius hyperbolic sinusoidal model,the constitutive equation at high temperature was *** on the theory of dynamic material models,a hot processing map of TMCs at high temperature was established,and the peak region of power dissipation rate and the instability region in the hot processing map were both *** the same time,the corresponding microstructures in the peak power dissipation rate and rheological instability regions were *** results showed that flow stress decreased with increasing deformation temperature and increased with increasing strain *** thermal deformation activation energy of titanium matrix composites was 301.8 kJ/*** Ti-6Al-4V/(TiB+TiC)composites possessed only one instability zone under high-temperature compression at a strain of 0.5,with corresponding temperatures at 750-840°C and strain rates at 0.1-1 s^(-1).The optimal thermal deformation parameters included corresponding temperatures of 830-880°C and strain rates of 0.001-0.05 s^(-1).The microstructures corresponding to optimal hot working parameters in processing maps were more homogeneous than the microstructures in the instability zone,including the distribution uniformity of reinforcement and the degree of dynamic recrystallization,and no instability phenomena including abnormal grain growth,microcracks or intensive fracture of reinforcements were found,indicating that the hot processing map had a positive guiding effect on the option of desirable material thermal-working parameters.

In this work,the Al-Cu-Mg alloy with different Y(0-0.2 wt%)and Ce(0.5-1.5 wt%)are *** effect of mixed addition of Y and Ce on the grain structure and hot tearing for Al-4.4Cu-1.5Mg-0.15Zr alloy was investigated using"cross"hot tearing *** results indicate that as rare earth Y and Ce increases,the grain size becomes finer,the grain morphology changes from dendrite to equiaxed grain,and effectively reduce the hot tearing sensitivity coefficient(HTS1)and crack susceptibility coefficient(CSC)of the *** the increase of Ce element(0.5-1.5 wt%),the hot tearing susceptibility of the alloy decreases first and then *** the increase of Y element(0-0.2 wt%),the hot tearing sensitivity of the alloy *** the content of rare earth is 0.2 wt%Y+1.0 wt%Ce,the minimum HTS1 value and CSC value of the alloy are 68 and 0.53,*** earth Ce refines the alloy microstructure,shortens the feeding channel,and reduces the hot tearing ***,the rare earth Y can form Al6Cu6Y phase at the grain boundary,improve the feeding capacity of the ***,appropriate addition of rare earth Y and Ce can effectively reduce the hot tearing tendency of the alloy.
