The prediction of chatter vibration is influencedby many known complex phenomena and is uncertain. Wepresent a new effect that can significantly change the sta-bility properties of cutting processes. It is shown that themicroscopic environment of chip formation can have alarge effect on its macroscopic properties. In this work, acombined model of the surface regeneration effect and chipformation is used to predict the stability of turning pro-cesses. In a chip segmentation sub-model, the primaryshear zone is described with a corresponding materialmodel along layers together with the thermodynamicbehavior. The surface regeneration is modeled by the time-delayed differential equation. Numerical simulations showthat the time scale of a chip segmentation model is sig-nificantly smaller than the time scale of the turning process;therefore, averaging methods can be used. Chip segmen-tation can decrease the average shear force leading todecreased cutting coefficients because of the non-lineareffects. A proper linearization of the equation of motionleads to an improved description of the cutting *** is shown that chip segmentation may significantlyincrease the stable domains in the stability charts; fur-thermore, by selecting proper parameters, unbounded sta-bility domains can be reached.

AIM To analyze colorectal carcinogenesis and age-related DNA methylation alterations of gene sequences associated with epigenetic clock CpG sites. METHODS In silico DNA methylation analysis of 353 epigenetic clock Cp G sites published by Steve Horvath was performed using methylation array data for a set of 123 colonic tissue samples [64 colorectal cancer(CrC), 42 adenoma, 17 normal; GEO accession number: GSE48684]. Among the differentially methylated agerelated genes, secreted frizzled related protein 1(SFrP1) promoter methylation was further investigated in colonic tissue from 8 healthy adults, 19 normal children, 20 adenoma and 8 CrC patients using bisulfite-specific PCr followed by methylation-specific high resolution melting(MS-HrM) analysis. m rNA expression of age-related "epigenetic clock" genes was studied using Affymetrix HGU133 Plus2.0 whole transcriptome data of 153 colonic biopsy samples(49 healthy adult, 49 adenoma, 49 CrC, 6 healthy children)(GEO accession numbers: GSE37364, GSE10714, GSE4183, GSE37267). BACkGrOUND Current cardiac resynchronization therapy(CrT),devised to eliminate dyssynchrony in left bundle branch block(LBBB),works by pacing the latest activated left ventricular site(LALVS).We hypothesized that patients with nonspecific intraventricular conduction disturbance(NICD)pattern respond less favorably to CrT,because their LALVS is far away from that in *** By measuring the amplitude and polarity of secondary ST-segment alterations in two optional frontal and hori-zontal surface electrocardiogram(ECG)leads and using a software,we determined the resultant 3D spatial secondary ST vector,which is directed 180o away from the LALVS,in 110 patients with LBBB pattern and 77 patients with NICD pattern and heart *** validate the ECG method,we also estimated the LALVS by echocardiography using 3D parametric imaging and 2D speckle tracking in 22 LBBB patients and 20 NICD *** with NICD pattern were subdivided according to their non-overlapping frontal plane resultant secondary ST vector ranges to the NICD-1 subgroup(n=44)and the NICD-2 subgroup(n=33).rESULTS Based on the software determined coordinates of the resultant 3D spatial secondary ST vector directed 180o away from the LALVS,the LALVSs were located leftward,posterosuperior in the LBBB group,slightly left,superior in the NICD-1 sub-group,and slightly left,posteroinferior in the NICD-2 *** LALVS determined by ECG and echocardiography matched in all patients,except *** In the NICD-2 subgroup,a remote LALVS was found from that in LBBB pattern,which might explain the high non-response rate of the NICD pattern to the current CrT technique.

The prediction of atomistic fracture mechanisms in body-centred cubic(bcc)iron is essential for understanding its semi-brittle *** atomistic simulations of the crack-tip under mode-I loading based on empirical interatomic potentials yield contradicting predictions and artificial *** enable fracture prediction with quantum accuracy,we develop a Gaussian approximation potential(GAP)using an active learning strategy by extending a density functional theory(DFT)database of ferromagnetic bcc *** apply the active learning algorithm and obtain a Fe GAP model with a converged model uncertainty over a broad range of stress intensity factors(SIFs)and for four crack *** learning efficiency of the approach is analysed,and the predicted critical SIFs are compared with Griffith and rice *** simulations reveal that cleavage along the original crack plane is the atomistic fracture mechanism for{100}and{110}crack planes at T=0 k,thus settling a long-standing *** work also highlights the need for a multiscale approach to predicting fracture and intrinsic ductility,whereby finite temperature,finite loading rate effects and pre-existing defects(e.g.,nanovoids,dislocations)should be taken explicitly into account.

AIM:To estimate the prevalence of blindness and visual impairment resulting from cataract in the population aged≥50 y in Hungary,and to assess the cataract surgical ***:A rapid assessment of avoidable blindness(rAAB)was conducted.A total of 3523 eligible people were randomly selected and *** participant underwent surgery for cataract was interviewed with regard to the year,place,and costs of the *** with obvious cataract were asked why they had not yet undergone surgery(barriers to surgery).rESULTS:An estimated 12514 people were bilaterally blind;the visual acuity(VA)in 19293 people wasr eye due to *** estimated 77933 eyes are blind;98067 eyes had a VA ofract surgeries were conducted in government *** age-and sexadjusted cataract surgical coverage with VArate of good visual outcome after surgery was 79.5%.Ocular comorbidity was the main cause of poor outcome(78.1%),followed by late complications(such as posterior capsule opacification)(17.2%),inadequate optical correction(3.1%),and surgical complications(1.6%).The main barrier to surgery in people with bilateral cataract and VA ofrevalence of visual impairment resulting from cataract is slightly higher than *** quality of the cataract surgical service seems adequate in ***,the number of cataract operations per year should continue to increase due to the increasing patient demands and the aging population.
