Objective: The ma.n objective wa. to study the disturba.ces of the Blood Count of children hospita.ized in the genera. pedia.ric of the Ga.riel Touré tea.hing hospita.. Methods: This wa. a.prospective a.d descriptive study conducted from September 1 to November 30, 2018 in the genera. pedia.rics depa.tment of the Ga.riel Touré tea.hing hospita. in Ba.a.o. Da.a.were collected on pa.ient records using a.survey sheet. Results: We collected 512 files of children out of 1030 a.missions during the study period;the ra.e of completion of the blood count is 50%. The ma.e sex wa. predomina.t with a.sex ra.io of 1.3. The ma.ority of pa.ients were under 5 yea.s old (58%). The ma.ority of fa.hers (56%) a.d mothers (64%) of children ha. no educa.ion;they a.e ma.nly fa.mers (61%) a.d housewives (88%). Pa.lor wa. the rea.on for consulta.ion in 29% of pa.ients a.d present in 60%. On blood count, a.emia.wa. present in 92% of pa.ients, ha.f of whom (50%) ha. severe a.emia.with a.hemoglobin level below 7 g/dL. The a.emia.wa. ma.nly microcytic (72%) a.d hypochromic (66%). Hyperleukocytosis (62%), eosinophilia.(68%) a.d ba.ophilia.(58%) were the a.norma.ities observed in the white line. Thrombocytopenia.a.counted for 40%. Severe ma.a.ia.(53%) wa. the ma.n discha.ge dia.nosis a.d a.most a.l pa.ients (99%) were a.ive a. discha.ge. Conclusion: The cha.a.teristics of a.emia.require a.study of the complete blood count in hea.thy children with dosa.e of serum iron a.d ferritin for a.better understa.ding of the phenomenon.

Introduction: a.emia.in women of reproductive a.e is a.common hea.th problem in the region of Kolda.(Senega.). The objective of this resea.ch wa. to study the risk fa.tors of a.emia.a.ong women in reproductive a.e in Kolda.(Senega.). Methodology: a.cross-sectiona., descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. study of women in reproductive a.e a.d their households wa. conducted in the Kolda.region between October a.d December 2015. This wa. a.three-sta.e ra.dom sa.ple survey. The da.a.wa. collected during a. individua. interview. Logistic regression wa. used to identify the fa.tors of this a.emia. Results: In this study, 968 women of reproductive a.e were surveyed. The a.era.e a.e of women wa. 27 yea.s with a.sta.da.d devia.ion of 7.4 yea.s. There were 10% of pregna.t women, 36.3% of la.ta.ing women a.d 53.7% of women neither pregna.t nor la.ta.ing. The a.era.e size of the households surveyed wa. 14 people a.d the 36.3% ha. a. a.era.e economic level. The ma.ority of households were equipped with tra.itiona. la.rines (76.9%). Women were neither pregna.t nor la.ta.ing in 53.7%, were uneduca.ed in 70.7% a.d 81% used micronutrient-rich foods. The preva.ence of a.emic women wa. 55.2%. The fa.tors a.socia.ed with a.emia.in women in Kolda.were the use of tra.itiona. la.rines (ORa.= 1.48 [1.0 - 2.1]), the woma.’s pregna.cy sta.us (ORa.= 5 [2.7 - 9.8]), non-educa.ion of the woma. (ORa.= 1.52 [1.1 - 2.0]), the existence of income-genera.ing a.tivity for the woma. (ORa.= 0.69 [0.5 - 0.9]), the processing of loca. products in the household (ORa.= 0.5 [0.3 - 0.9]) a.d the use of a. lea.t one micronutrient rich food in the household (ORa.= 0.73 [0.49 - 1.0]). Conclusion: The preva.ence of a.emia.a.ong women in reproductive a.e is still high in the Kolda.region. To comba. this phenomenon, a.a.eness ca.pa.gns on iron a.d folic a.id supplementa.ion should be stepped up, the use of modern la.rines should be promoted a.d the empowerment of women should be strengthened.

Summa.y: a.ma.igna.t tumour tha. develops from the bronchia. epithelium a.d then inva.es the lungs. It ra.ks third a.ter colorecta. a.d brea.t ca.cer. In Ma.i, computed tomogra.hy (CT) is the ma.n ima.ing tool used a. a.l sta.es of trea.ment. We ha. initia.ed this study with the objective of specifying the pla.e of CT in the dia.nosis of prima.y bronchopulmona.y ca.cer a. the hospita. of Ma.i. Method: This is a.prospective a.d descriptive study conducted by the Medica. Ima.ing a.d Thora.ic Surgery depa.tments a. Ma.i Hospita. from Ma.ch 2014 to Februa.y 2015. a.l the pa.ients who ha.e benefited from a.CT sca. a.d presenting a. lea.t one histologica.ly confirmed bronchopulmona.y tumor were included. Results: We were recruiting 60 pa.ients with bronchopulmona.y ca.cers out of 500 referred for a.thora.ic CT sca. performed, a.frequency of 12%. There wa. one ma.e pa.ient with a.sex ra.io of 4H/1F. The a.era.e a.e wa. 60 yea.s. The history of smoking wa. 85%. The symptoms were domina.ed by genera. condition (63.33%), cough (25%) a.d ha.moptysis (58.33%). CT sca.s were performed in a.l pa.ients. The lesions were loca.ed more in the lower lobes (71%). The tumours were: heterogeneous tissue density (70%), spicula.ed contours (80%), a.d the histology wa. more non-sma.l cell ca.cinoma. Conclusion: The incidence of bronchopulmona.y ca.cer is very high a.d its prognosis is poor a. a. a.va.ced sta.e. The eva.ua.ive role of CT a.d biopsy guida.ce ha. given it a.pla.e of choice in its ma.a.ement. The dia.nosis of certa.nty rema.ns histology.

Introduction: Bla.der tumours a.e frequent, ha.e a.poor prognosis a.d a.e the second most common genitourina.y tumour in men. In Ma.i, recent sta.istica. da.a.on the preva.ence of bla.der tumours show a.progression with 6.71% in 2006. The euro sca.ner is used in the dia.nostic workup. The work wa. initia.ed in order to specify the role of the sca.ner in the dia.nosis of these tumors. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Prospective descriptive study wa. ca.ried out in the medica. ima.ing depa.tment of Ma.i Hospita. from Februa.y to November 2018. Were included a.y pa.ient with a.bla.der tumour on euro sca.ner. The pa.ients ha. benefited from a.prelimina.y prepa.a.ion a.d a.rena. biologica. a.sessment in order to elimina.e rena. insufficiency. Our exa.ina.ions were performed with a.Siemens 16-slice sca.ner. These were a.ia. slices performed without, with iodine injection from the pulmona.y ba.e to the pubic bones. Results: We ha. collected 17 pa.ients out of 541 sca.s i.e. a.frequency of 3.76%. The a.e ra.ge of 21 to 40 yea.s wa. 58.8% with a. a.era.e a.e of 25 yea.s. The a.tecedents (a.CD) found were urina.y bilha.zia.(47%) a.d smoking (17%). The clinic wa. domina.ed by ha.ma.uria. It wa. a.socia.ed with a.bla.der ma.s (52%) a.d dysuria.(23.52%). The CT sca. showed a.budding a.pea.a.ce, a.size grea.er tha. 3 cm (82%), infiltra.ion of peri-vesica. fa. (47.05%), a.d a.enopa.hy (94%). a.socia.ed lesions were: utero-hydronephrosis (58.82%) a.d meta.ta.es (bone a.d liver in 11.76% of ca.es ea.h). Conclusion: They a.e frequent a.d the history of urina.y bilha.zia.is rema.ns the ma.n risk fa.tor in endemic countries. CT sca.s a.e essentia. in the ma.a.ement of this disea.e. The dia.nosis of certa.nty rema.ns histology.

Introduction: Cervica. cystic lympha.gioma. a.e ra.e benign dysembryopla.tic tumors of lympha.ic origin. The purpose of this work wa. to report a.ca.e of gia.t cervica. cystic lympha.gioma.in a.child to discuss the difficulties a.socia.ed with its ma.a.ement in our context. Observa.ion: This wa. a.3-yea.-old fema.e child who wa. a.mitted to the ENT depa.tment of CHU “Luxembourg” for right la.era. cervica. swelling. The clinica. exa.ina.ion ha. noted a.la.ge a.terior-la.ero cervica. swelling of soft, renitent, pa.nless pa.pa.ion, mova.le in rela.ion to the superficia. a.d deep pla.e, mea.uring a.out 20 cm × 17 cm, the skin wa. hea.thy. It wa.n’t pa.ticula.ity to the rest of the physica. exa.ina.ion. The dia.nosis of gia.t cervica. cystic lympha.gioma.wa. discussed. Thorough excision of the swelling by right la.era. cervicotomy wa. performed. a.a.omopa.hologica. exa.ina.ion of the opera.ive specimen confirmed the dia.nosis. The postopera.ive course wa. simple a.d the evolution wa. fa.ora.le. Conclusion: Cervica. cystic lympha.gioma. a.e ra.e. Their ma.a.ement involves surgery, with short a.d long-term post-opera.ive outcomes a.e often excellent.

Introduction:?The fa.tors of nephrobla.toma.’ rela.se a.e a.set of elements pla.ing a.role in the rea.pea.a.ce of ca.cer cells in the sa.e pla.e of the kidney or in other regions of the body a.ter a.5-yea. remission.?Objectives:?To determine the frequency a.d the fa.tors of nephrobla.toma.’ rela.se in the pedia.ric oncology unit a.d pedia.ric surgery of the a.a.emic hospita. Ga.riel Touré. Ma.eria.s a.d methods:?This wa. a.retrospective study ca.ried out from Ja.ua.y 1, 2005 to December 31, 2019 in a.l children trea.ed for nephrobla.toma.rela.ses in the pedia.ric oncology unit a.d in the pedia.ric surgery service.?Results:?In 15 yea.s, we ha.e ma.a.ed 182 ca.es of nephrobla.toma. of which 128 ca.es were decla.ed in complete remission a.ter 5 yea.s a.d 12 ca.es presented a.recurrence. The rela.ses fa.tors were: ca.sula. brea., intra.pera.ive tumor rupture, presence of a. a.socia.ed ma.forma.ion, surgery without neoa.juva.t chemothera.y a.d tumor surgica. sta.e (p??0.05). Pa.ients’ a.e a. dia.nosis, sex, number of neoa.juva.t a.d a.juva.t chemothera.y sessions a.d histologica. type were not decisive (p?> 0.05).?Conclusion:?Rela.ses a.e more a.d more frequent in ca.es of nephrobla.toma. The correct use of the protocol would a.oid these recurrences.

Ba.kground: Encepha.oceles a.e congenita. neura. tube defects cha.a.terized by the protrusion of meninges a.d/or bra.n tissue from a.defect in the skull. The incidence of the disea.e is a.out 0.8 - 5.6/10,000 live births. They a.e cla.sified ba.ed on the loca.ion a.d type of skull defect a. occipita. encepha.ocele, encepha.ocele of the cra.ia. va.lt, frontoethmoida. encepha.ocele, a.d ba.a. encepha.oceles. Surgica. reduction being the first line trea.ment a.d resection of hernia.ed structures ma. be necessa.y when the encepha.ocele is la.ge. In the present study, the a.thors present their experience in trea.ing 17 pa.ients with encepha.oceles. Methods: This study is a.retrospective a.a.ysis of 17 pa.ients from Ja.ua.y 2013 to December 2016 in Ga.riel Touré Hospita., Ba.a.o, Ma.i. a.history wa. obta.ned from the fa.ily a. presenta.ion. Medica. informa.ion before a.d during the pregna.cy wa. compiled. a.l pa.ients underwent CT sca. a. a.routine preopera.ive ima.ing study, to eva.ua.e the encepha.ocele a.d to pla. the surgica. procedure. The following da.a.were recorded for a.a.ysis: a.e, sex, loca.ion of encepha.ocele, neurologica. sta.us, opera.ive method, postopera.ive complica.ions a.d surgica. results. Results: There were 10 (58.8%) fema.e a.d 7 (41.2%) ma.e pa.ients. The pa.ients ra.ged in a.e from 3 da.s to 36 months. The most common site of encepha.ocele sa. wa. the occipita. region in 14 (82.4%) ca.es followed by the fronta. region in 2 (11.8%) ca.es a.d the vertex in 1 (5.9%) ca.e. The sa. size wa. less tha. 3 cm in 5 (17.6%) ca.es, 3 - 5 cm in 8 (47.1%) ca.es a.d more tha. 5 cm in 4 (23.5%) ca.es. Three (17.6%) children presented with CSF lea.a.e. Hydrocepha.us wa. present in the preopera.ive period in 6 (35.3%) ca.es;a.l of them required VP shunt procedure. None of the ca.es ha. a.preopera.ive neurologic deficit. Surgica. excision wa. performed in a.l ca.es. In the postopera.ive period, meningitis developed in 2 ca.es (11.8%), wound infection in 1 ca.e (5.9

Introduction: Nephroblastoma is the most common renal cancer in pediatrics. The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiological, clinical, histological characteristics and the immediate outcome of patients with nephroblastoma. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study of 18 cases of unilateral nephroblastoma, carried out in the pediatric oncology unit (UOP) of the CHU Gabriel Touré from January 2015 to December 2016. Results: The mean age of the patients was 33 months old. The sex ratio was 0.63. The average consultation time was 3 months. A case of malformation syndrome (aniridia and mental retardation) had been observed. The main reason for consultation was abdominal mass (100%) associated with deterioration of general condition (44%), pain (44%) and fever (17%). Stage I accounted for 61% and stage II 39%. The postoperative histological classification made it possible to find the high-risk blastematous type (33%), the regressive type of intermediate risk (11%) and the stromal type of intermediate risk (45%). Toxicities (haematological and digestive) were minimal. The 3-year overall survival was 90%. Conclusion: This study is characterized by the predominance of stages I and II and the fairly large percentage of histology at intermediate risk. These results are above all the result of multidisciplinary collaboration.a.>a.>

Rigid urethrocystoscopy is a. endoscopic exa.ina.ion tha. explores the urethra. bla.der a.d prosta.e in men. a.ms: We report the indica.ions, results a.d pa.n a.sessment of rigid urethrocystoscopy in our center. Pa.ients a.d Methods: We ca.ried out a.retrospective, descriptive, monocentric study in our center between Ja.ua.y 2016 a.d June 2018. The study included a.l pa.ients who ha. a.rigid urethrocystoscopy under loca. a.a.sthesia. We studied the following pa.a.eters: sex, a.e, indica.ions for the exa.ina.ion, outcomes a.d the pa.n a.sessment. Results: Five hundred a.d forty-one pa.ients were included. The sex-ra.io wa. 1.49. The mea. a.e wa. 49.47 ± 18.48 yea.s (12 yea.s a.d 91 yea.s). Lower urina.y tra.t symptoms (29%) a.d hema.uria.(28%) were the most common indica.ions. The rigid urethrocystoscopy wa. norma. in 26.8% of pa.ients. Bla.der tumors (21.2%) were the most frequent lesions. In men, prosta.e tumors were more common (21%) followed by bla.der tumors (17.9%), while in women, bla.der tumors (26.3%) were predomina.t followed by cystopa.hy lesions (12.4%).The mea. Simple Verba. Sca.e (SVS) score wa. 1.25 in women a.d 2.1 in men. Conclusion: Rigid urethrocystoscopy wa. rela.ively well tolera.ed by our pa.ients. Hema.uria.wa. the prima.y indica.ion a.d the ma.n etiologies were bla.der a.d prosta.e tumors.
