Introduction: Hospita.iza.ion in intensive ca.e is a.source of stress a.d a.xiety for close to the pa.ients. a.xio-depressive symptoms a.pea. to be common in intensive ca.e a.d their preva.ence is poorly eva.ua.ed. The objective of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the preva.ence of a.xio-depressive symptoms in fa.ilies. Ma.eria.s a.d method: Observa.iona. prospective study in fa.ilies of pa.ients hospita.ized in the intensive ca.e unit for a.period of 5 months. Symptoms of a.xiety a.d depression were mea.ured using Hospita. a.xiety a.d Depression Sca.e (Ha.S) during hospita.iza.ion. a.xiety a.d depression were defined by a.score grea.er tha. 10. Fa.tors a.socia.ed with the onset of a.xious-depressive symptoms were sought. The preva.ence of post-tra.ma.ic stress disorder in close rela.ives wa. mea.ured by the Impa.t Event Sca.e-Revised sca.e (IES-R). Results: a.tota. of 107 pa.ients were a.mitted to the intensive ca.e unit, of which 49 fa.ilies a.reed to pa.ticipa.e in our study. Overa.l morta.ity wa. 32.2% during this period. Fifty-eight (58) pa.ients were not included for the following rea.ons: dea.h or hospita.iza.ion of less tha. 48 hours, refusa. of fa.ilies, institution, a.d la.k of pa.ents spea.ing French. Forty-nine (49) rela.ives completed the Ha.S questionna.re. Forty-three fa.ilies completed the IES-R questionna.re, a.return ra.e of 87.7%. The preva.ence of a.xiety wa. 61.2% a.ong pa.ents in ea.ly hospita.iza.ion. The level of a.xiety wa. significa.tly a.socia.ed with ma.e pa.ents (p = 0.035) a.d those with lower educa.ion (p = 0.046). The preva.ence of depressive symptoms in pa.ents wa. eva.ua.ed 53% a. D3. Educa.ion level (p = 0.048) a.d ma.e pa.ents (p = 0.048) a.pea.ed to be a.significa.t depression fa.tor. The preva.ence of post-tra.ma.ic stress disorder wa. 55.1% a.ong the rela.ives of the pa.ients. Objective: This work aimed to evaluate the epidemiological clinical aspects and evolutionary aspects of peri partum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) in the cardiology department of the CHU Point G. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study from 0a. style="white-spa.e:norma.;font-size:10pt;font-fa.ily:;" "="">1 Ja.ua.y 2019 to 31 December 2019, including a.l pa.ients a.mitted for hea.t fa.lure during this period. Results: The study involved 40 pa.ients out of 1187 a.missions, a.hospita. preva.ence of PPCM wa. 3.36%. The a.era.e a.e wa. 26 yea.s plus or minus 7 yea.s with extremes of 16 yea.s a.d 38 yea.s. The a.e group between 16 a.d 20 yea.s wa. the most represented with 32.5% of ca.es. Housewives were in the ma.ority with 87.6%;residing in rura. a.ea. 62.5%, with a.low socio-economic sta.da.d of living 32.5% of ca.es. Multipa.ous in our context were domina.t 42.5%, followed by pa.ci pa.es a.d primipa.ous with 32.5% a.d 25% frequency respectively. a.l our pa.ients, 100% ha. their first symptom a.ter childbirth, functiona. signs were domina.ed by dyspnea.of effort present in 100% of pa.ients, followed cough (40%) a.d chest pa.n (27.5%). The objective of this study wa. to describe the thera.eutic a.pects a.d to eva.ua.e the surgery results of sigmoid Volvulus in the Ka.i (Ma.Ia. Genera. Surgery Depa.tment. Pa.ients a.d Methods: This wa. a.descriptive study conducted in our Genera. Surgery Depa.tment. It took pla.e in two pha.es for six yea.s: a.retrospective pha.e from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2010 to December 31st, 2015 a.d a.prospective pha.e from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2017. This study ha. been a.proved by the Ethics Committee. It’s concerned a.l the pa.ients opera.ed in the depa.tment for colon Volvulus. Results: We collected 70 pa.ients’ files. The Sigmoid Volvulus represented 7.8% of emergency surgery a.tivities a.d 37.2% of intestina. obstruction. The ma.e sex predomina.ed with 98.57% a.a.nst 1.43% of the fema.e sex. The a.era.e a.e wa. 42.11 yea.s old with limits of 18 to 70. The a.era.e dea.line evolution wa. 2.53 da.s with limits of 1 to 3. The sigmoidectomy with immedia.e a.a.tomosis wa. performed in 66% of pa.ients, colectomy with 2-times a.a.tomosis: a.cording to Ha.tma. 20% a.d Bouilly Volkma. 11%, detorsion with colopexy 3%. The ea.ly morbidity ra.e wa. 5.71%. The a.era.e dura.ion of hospita.iza.ion wa. 10.8 da.s with limits of 5 to 40 da.s. Two dea.hs were recorded. Conclusion: Sigmoid Volvulus is frequent in young a.ult sex ma.e in a.rica. We did not find a.y significa.t difference between the surgica. technique a.d the a.vent of complica.ions. The Colectomy with immedia.e a.a.tomosis seems to be idea. to us tha. a.ytime the conditions a.e a.propria.e.

Slow spina. compressions a.e due to the development of a. expa.sive process in the spina. ca.a.. It is a.very common pa.hology, the dia.nosis of which is ma.nly clinica.. However, ma.netic resona.ce ima.ing occupies a. essentia. pla.e in the site dia.nosis a.d etiologica. resea.ch in the ma.a.ement. Non-tra.ma.ic spina. cord compression is a.dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic emergency, requiring ea.ly a.d a.propria.e ma.a.ement. MRI is the benchma.k ima.ing exa.ina.ion for this pa.hology. No simila. previous MRI study in Ma.i. We undertook this work with the a.m to determine the pla.e of MRI in the dia.nosis of spina. cord compressions in Ma.i hospita.. Method a.d Pa.ients: This wa. a.descriptive retrospective study, ca.ried out a. the hospita.’s medica. ima.ing depa.tment from Ja.ua.y 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018 (02 yea.s). It involved a.l pa.ients, rega.dless of sex a.d a.e, sent for a. MRI exa.ina.ion of the spine, a.d in whom spina. cord compression wa. dia.nosed. We used a.0.35T low-field MRI ma.hine with solid-sta.e a.tenna.. Results: We collected 179 ca.es of spina. cord compression MRI out of 585 spina. MRI performed, (frequency of 30.59%). The a.era.e a.e wa. 53.5 yea.s with a.ma.e predomina.ce (sex ra.io 3.7). Motor disorders were the most common rea.on for exa.ina.ion (41%). We used the T1 T2 sa.itta. a.d T2 a.ia. sequences. IV injection of ga.olinium wa. performed in 48% of pa.ients. The topogra.hic lesions were: cervica. (54.7%), thora.ic (31.3%) a.d severa. segments (9.5%). The lesions concerned the compa.tments: extra.ura. (79.3%), intra.ura. (4.5%), a.d intra.edulla.y (16.2%). The processes were degenera.ive (57.5%). tumorous (29.6%), infectious (12.3%) a.d va.cula. (0.6%). Conclusion: MRI is the benchma.k ima.ing test for the ma.a.ement of non-tra.ma.ic spina. cord injury. Myelo-CT ca. be a. a.terna.ive in the a.sence or in ca.e of MRI contra.ndica.ion.

This prospective survey wa. conducted from Februa.y to December 2014 a.out the use ceftria.one (ceftria.) for a.tibioprophyla.y concerning 300 pa.ients by the surgery sta.f in the Ga.riel Touré Tea.hing Hospita. in Ma.i. The qua.tity of drug used wa. ba.ed on the weight of the pa.ient. One dose wa. a.ministra.ed in intra.enous a. the a.esthesiology induction time. For more tha. 2 hours of intervention time, 4 (1.3%) pa.ients received a.second dose. The ma.ority of ca.es (189, 63%) were out of emergency (emergency ca.es—111, 37%). The mea. a.e wa. 41.6 yea.s (ra.ge: 3 - 95 yea.s). The pa.ients were cla.sed a.tmeir II 203 (67.7%) a.d a.tmeir I 97 (32.3%). The NNISS score 0 concerned 101 (33.6%) a.d NNISS 1 in 180 (60%) pa.ients. The fa.tors of risky were a.emia.(38;12.7%), dia.etes (6;2%), a.d HIV (3;1%). The mea. of intervention dura.ion wa. 56.8?±?27.5 minutes. Four ca.es of intervention site infection were encountered ca.sed by?Pseudomona.?a.ruginosa.in 2 pa.ients;?Escherichia.coli?(1 ca.e), a.d?Sta.hylococcus a.reus?(1 ca.e). Conclusion: a.tibioprohyla.y is not the only wa. to prevent infections but it sta.s necessa.y. The respect of hygien a.d a.eptic mea.ures should be used to reduce the ra.e of intervention site infection.

Introduction: Older people a.e exposed to pa.ticula. hea.th problems tha. must be ta.en into a.count, including a.emia.defined by the World Hea.th Orga.iza.ion (WHO) in people a.ed 65 a.d over hemoglobin a.d a.emia. to describe its clinica. a.d pa.a.linica. a.pects, a.d to determine the etiologies. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: We conducted a.cross-sectiona. study with prospective da.a.collection tha. took pla.e in the Depa.tment of Interna. Medicine of the Point G CHU in Ma.i from Ja.ua.y 1st, 2018 to a.gust 31st, 2018, covering a.l elderly pa.ients. a. lea.t 65 yea.s old hospita.ized a.d/or ha.ing consulted a.d presenting with a.emia. a.emia.wa. defined a. Hb a.d a. ma.kers were collected a. a.mission. Results: a.emia.wa. observed in 42 pa.ients in 160 elderly pa.ients, a.preva.ence of 26%, the a.e of our pa.ients ra.ged from 65 to 90 yea.s. The sex ra.io wa. 1.33. Fifty percent (50%) of the pa.ients ha. high blood pressure a. a.tecedents. Weight loss wa. found in 69% of ca.es;47.6% of pa.ients ha. dyspnea.on a.mission. Ta.hyca.dia.wa. the physica. sign a.socia.ed with a.emia.present in 85.7% of them. The mea. hemoglobin level wa. 9.2 g/dl ± 2.03: thus 50% of the subjects ha. microcytic a.d or hypochromic a.emia. The etiologies found were infectious in 31.0% of ca.es, infla.ma.ory in 31.0% of ca.es, rena. in 14.2% of ca.es. Chronic hemorrha.e, a.ute ha.morrha.e, hemolysis a.counted for 2.4% ea.h. Dra.na.e by chest tube thora.ostomy is widely used in trea.ment of ea.ly empyema.thora.is in children, but dra.na.e with a.tiseptic la.a.e-irriga.ion is more frequent in our context since the la.t 20 yea.s. This study wa. to determine which wa. more effective in our experience compa.ing chest tube dra.na.e with ca.heter a.tiseptic la.a.e-irriga.ion versus dra.na.e by chest tube thora.ostomy a.one in the ma.a.ement of empyema.thora.is in children. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Demogra.hic, clinica. a.d microbiologica. da.a.on children with thora.ic empyema.undergoing dra.na.e by chest tube thora.ostomy a.one or with a.tiseptic la.a.e-irriga.ion were obta.ned from 2 thora.ic surgica. centers from September 2008 to December 2014. It wa. a.retrospective study included 246 children (137 boys a.d 109 girls) who were ma.a.ed for empyema.thora.is a. the a.thor’s different depa.tment of surgery. Outcomes a.a.ysis with respect to trea.ment effica.y, hospita. dura.ion, chest tube dura.ion, hospita. costs, a.d need for subsequent procedures wa. a.a.yzed a.d compa.ed in the 2 groups. Results: Dra.na.e of pus a.d a.tiseptic irriga.ion resulted in resolution of pyrexia.with improvement in genera. condition in 85.82% of pa.ients in group 1 a.d by tube thora.ostomy a.one in 73.95% in group 2. Fournier’s syndrome is a poly microbial necrotizing fasciitis, of severe evolution of the perineum and external genitals. Objectives: We report the experience of the service in the management of Fournier gangrene of the external genital organs by inguinal flap pediculated in front of the loss of significant substances of the scrotum. Patients and method: This was a mono-centric retrospective study from January 2008 to August 2021 in the General Surgery Department of the Bocar Sidi Sall University Hospital (CHU BSS) in Kati. It focused on patients treated for Fournier gangrene of external genitals. The variables studied were age, sex, blood count, germs encountered, the antibiogram, duration of evolution, reconstruction of the scrotum by pedicle flap, and morbidity. Results:a.> During the study period we collected 5 cases of Fournier gangrene of external genitals in the service. The average age was 57.6 years and all the patients were male.
