To unlock the full potential of PSCs,machine learning(ML)was implemented in this research to predict the optimal combination of mesoporous-titanium dioxide(mp-TiO_(2))and weight percentage(wt%)of phenyl-C_(61)-butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM),along with the current density(j_(sc)),open-circuit voltage(V_(oc)),fill factor(ff),and energy conversion efficiency(ECE).Then,the combination that yielded the highest predicted ECE was selected as a reference to fabricate PCBM-PSCs with nanopatterned TiO_(2)***,the PCBM-PSCs with nanopatterned TiO_(2)layers were fabricated and characterized to further understand the effects of nanopatterning depth and wt%of PCBM on ***,the highest ECE of 17.338%is achieved at 127 nm nanopatterning depth and 0.10 wt%of PCBM,where the j_(sc),V_(oc),and ff are 22.877 mA cm^(-2),0.963 V,and 0.787,*** measured j_(sc),V_(oc),ff,and ECE values show consistencies with the ML ***,these findings not only revealed the potential of ML to be used as a preliminary investigation to navigate the research of PSCs but also highlighted that nanopatterning depth has a significant impact on j_(sc),and the incorporation of PCBM on perovskite layer influenced the V_(oc)and ff,which further boosted the performance of PSCs.

Role of ascites adenosine deaminase in differentiating between tuberculous peritonitis and peritoneal carcinomatosis

AIM： To investigate the usefulness of tumor markers and adenosine deaminase in differentiating between tuberculous peritonitis （TBP） and peritoneal carcinoma- tosis （PC）. METHODS： A retrospective analysis of data was per- formed on consecutive patients who underwent perito- neoscopic and abdominal computed tomography （CT） evaluations. Among 75 patients at the Seoul National University Hospital from january 2000 to june 2010 who underwent both tests, 27 patients （36.0%） and 25 patients （33.3%） were diagnosed with TBP and PC, re- spectively. Diagnosis was confirmed by peritoneoscopic biopsy. RESULTS： Serum c-reactive protein （7.88：1：6.62 mg/ dL vs 3.12 ＋ 2.69 mg/dL, P = 0.01）, ascites adenos- ine deaminase （66.76：1：32.09 IU/L vs 13.89 ：l： 8.95 IU/L, P 〈 0.01）, ascites lymphocyte proportion （67.77 ：1： 23.41% vs 48.36 ＋ 18.78%, P 〈 0.01）, and serum- ascites albumin gradient （0.72 ＋ 0.49 g/dL vs 1.05 ＋ 0.50 g/dL, P = 0.03） were significantly different be- tween the two groups. Among tumor markers, serum and ascites carcinoembryonic antigen, serum carbohy- drate antigen 19-9 showed significant difference be- tween two groups. Abdominal CT examinations showed that smooth involvement of the parietal peritoneum was more common in the TBP group （77.8% vs 40.7%） whereas nodular involvement was more common in the PC group （14.8% vs 40.7%, P = 0.04）. From receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves ascites adeno- sines deaminase （ADA） showed better discriminative capability than tumor markers. An ADA cut-off level of 21 IU/L was found to yield the best results of differ- ential diagnosis; sensitivity, specificity, positive predic- tive value, and negative predictive value were 92.0%, 85.0%, 88.5% and 89.5%, respectively. CONCLUSION： Besides clinical and radiologic findings, ascitic fluid ADA measurement is helpful in the differen- tial diagnosis of TBP and PC.

Bimetallic additively manufactured structures(BAMSs)can replace traditionally-fabricated functionallygraded-components through fusion welding processes and can eliminate locally-deteriorated mechanical properties arising from *** present work fabricates a BAMS by sequentially depositing the austenitic stainless-steel and Inconel625 using a gas-metal-arc-welding(GMAW)-based wire+arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)*** mapping shows a smooth compositional transition at the interface without any *** materials being the face-center-cubic(FCC)austenite,the electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)analysis of the interface shows the smooth and cross-interfacecrystallographic growth of long-elongated grains in the*** hardness values were within the range of 220-240 HV for both materials without a large deviation at the *** to the controlled thermal history,mechanical testing yielded a consistent result with the ultimate tensile strength and elongation of 600 MPa and 40%,respectively,with the failure location on the stainless-steel *** study demonstrates that WAAM has the potential to fabricate BAMS with controlled properties.

An important requirement in a military domain is a highly reliable mobility management method,especially when components of the networks aremoving in tactical network *** increase reliability,themobility management technology of the tactical network should be able to reflect the characteristics of the tactical network,such as a limited environment,failure,and hierarchical unit *** this paper,we propose a proxy-based hierarchical distributedmobilitymanagement scheme,which is highly focused on tactical *** the characteristics of tactical networks,the proposed scheme is composed of the following:1)a proxy-based method,2)a distributed mobility management method that synchronizes a mobility database between entities,and 3)a method of managing mobility by dividing the tactical network into upper and lower *** analysis and modeling and simulation results demonstrate that the method outperforms the existing state-of-the-art method in overcoming entity failure,handover cost,and delay in tactical environments.

Photoluminescence enhancement of red-emitting GdVO_4:Eu and YVO_4:Eu phosphors by adding zinc

We synthesized the rare-earth activated Ro.94_xEuo.06ZnxVO4 （R： Gd and Y; 0〈_x〈_0.08） phosphors with a spherical mor- phology and a smooth surface by the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. The annealed Ro.94_xEuo.06ZnxVO4 crystallized in the tetragonal zircon type structure, belonging to the space group of I41/amd. The incorporation of a small amount of Zn to Ro.94Euo.06VO4 improved the emission characteristics. The emission intensities of the Gdo.88EUo.06Zno.06VO4 and Yo.9Euo.06Zno.04VO4 phosphors at 619 nm were 72% and 2 1% stronger than those of the Gdo,94Euo.06VO4 and Yo.94Euo.06VO4 phosphors, respectively. We demonstrated that the addi- tion of Zn to Ro.94Euo.06VO4 was quite effective for improving the photoluminescent properties.

Most organic electrode materials(OEMs)for rechargeable batteries employ n-type redox centers,whose redox potentials are intrinsically limited<3.0 V versus Li^(+)/***,p-type materials possessing high redox potentials experience low specific capacities because they are capable of only a single redox reaction within the stable electrochemical window of typical ***,we report 5,11-diethyl-5,11-dihydroindolo[3,2-b]carbazole(DEICZ)as a novel p-type OEM,exhibiting stable plateaus at high discharge potentials of 3.44 and 4.09 V versus Li^(+)/***,the second redox potential of DEICZ is within the stable electrochemical *** mechanism of the double redox reaction is investigated using both theoretical calculations and experimental measurements,including density functional theory calculations,ex situ electron spin resonance,and X-ray photoelectron ***,hybridization with single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNT)improves the cycle stability and rate performance of DEICZ owing to theπ-πinteractions between the SWCNT and co-planar molecular structure of DEICZ,preventing the dissolution of active materials into the *** DEICZ/SWCNT composite electrode maintains 70.4%of its initial specific capacity at 1-C rate and also exhibits high-rate capability,even performing well at 100-C ***,we demonstrate its potential for flexible batteries after applying 1000 bending stresses to the composite electrode.

Optimization of rotor shape for constant torque improvement and radial magnetic force minimization

The design of notch and barrier was optimized in order to improve the characteristics of constant torque while minimizing the cogging torque that occurs as a result of teeth and slot structure. The barrier was installed in order to minimize the cogging torque and torque ripple by finite element method (FEM) with a reduced barrier width toward the center of magnetic pole. The position and width of notch, which can offset cogging torque, can be calculated with energy distribution of air-gap using Fourier series. The optimized model demonstrates a 60% decrease in the cogging torque, a 75.3% decrease in the torque ripple and a 3% increase in the operating torque when compared with the basic model.

Protective effects of a polymethoxy flavonoids-rich Citrus aurantium peel extract on liver fibrosis induced by bile duct ligation in mice

Objective: To evaluate the possible protective effect of Citrus aurantium peel extract(CAE) against apoptosis in cholestatic liver fibrosis induced by bile duct ligation in mice. Methods: Male ICR mice were divided to 5 groups: 1) Control group(Sham-operated mice), 2) Cholestatic liver injury group induced by bile duct ligation(BDL), 3) BDL mice treated with silymarin(200 mg/kg) for 4 weeks, 4) BDL mice treated with 50 mg/kg CAE for 4 weeks, 5) BDL mice treated with 200 mg/kg CAE for 4 weeks. Mice were sacrificed and liver fibrosis was evaluated by serum and hepatic tissue biochemistry tests and liver histopathological examination. Effects of CAE on inflammation and apoptosis gene regulation were investigated through real-time PCR. CAE effect on lipid metabolism related signaling was determined by western blot analysis. Results: In BDL mice, administration of CAE for 4 weeks markedly attenuated liver fibrosis based on histopathological alteration. Serum and hepatic tissue biochemistry results revealed that CAE(50 and 200 mg/kg) decreased the levels of alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase, gamma glutamyl transferase, total bilirubin, nitric oxide, and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances. Real-time PCR and western blot analysis showed that CAE regulated inflammation, apoptosis, and lipid metabolism factors increased by BDL. Interleukin family, tumor necrosis factor α, and related apoptosis factors m RNA levels were increased by BDL treatment. However, these increases were suppressed by CAE administration. In addition, CAE effectively increased phosphorylation of AMPactivated protein kinase, nuclear factor E2-related factor 2, and related cytoprotective proteins. Conclusions: CAE can efficiently regulate BDL-induced liver injury with antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and antiapoptotic activities.
