Background: The.live. of patie.ts living with HIV/AIDs have.improve. in te.ms of longe. life.e.pe.tancy and quality. This has se.n the.e.e.ge.ce.of complications of the.dise.se.and the.drugs such as me.abolic syndrome.and re.e.e.ge.ce.of tube.culosis. Co-infe.tion with othe. viruse. e.pe.ially the.he.atic viruse. has also be.ome.a major source.of conce.n. The.aim of this re.e.rch is to de.e.mine.the.incide.ce.of he.atitis B and e.among this group of patie.ts. Me.hods and Findings: Blood sample. we.e.colle.te. from 156 conse.utive.HIV positive.patie.ts on HAART, informe. conse.t having be.n obtaine. pre.iously. The.patie.ts we.e.scre.ne. both for he.atitis B and e.using standard proce.ure.. A que.tionnaire.was administe.e. to all participants. The.re.ults are.illustrate. with table. following analysis with SPSS ve.sion 10. It was found that 24.5% we.e.positive.for he.atitis e.while.7.8% we.e.positive.for he.atitis B. It was also found that e.ucational status was the.only statistical significant variable.for He. co-infe.tion. Taking the.value.of alanine.transaminase.to be.12 U/L as uppe. limit of normal, the.me.n value.for He. positive.patie.ts obtaine. was 13.8U/L while.for those.HBV positive.was 10U/L. Conclusion: From the.findings, more.e.phasis should be.place. on improving e.ucation of the.populace. More.re.e.rch should be.carrie. out to de.e.mine.what subtype. of the.viruse. are.pre.e.t and the.r e.fe.ts on the.he.atic syste. using pre.e.ably non-invasive.te.hnique.. Also the.variability of he.atic e.zymatic activity ne.ds more.analysis.

Obje.tive.To de.e.op local te.mination of pre.nancy （TOP） datase. and to ide.tify ＂hotspots＂ for highe.t activity and gaps in our fe.tility control se.vice.. Me.hods This was a re.rospe.tive.analysis of 305 wome. who re.e.ve. TOP unde. se.tion C of the.Abortion Act 1967 ove. a pe.iod of 9 conse.utive.months from 1st March through to 31st Octobe. 2012. Re.ults The.e.we.e.275 （90.2%） British White.（BW） and 30 non-BW wome.. Among 30 non-BW wome., 10 （3.3%） we.e.British Asian, 8 （2.6%） we.e.Polish, 6 （2.0%） we.e.British Black or Black, 5 （1.6%） we.e.Chine.e.and i （0.3%） was White.Latvian. The.TOP rate.was 8.9% in the.unde. 18 ye.rs old and 27.9% in the.ove. 30 ye.rs old. Totally 240 TOPs （78. 7%） occurre. in 〈10 we.ks and 276 TOPs （90.5%） occurre. unde. 13 we.ks of ge.tation. e.ght-five.wome. who re.e.ve. TOP-se.vice.have.had one.or more.pre.ious te.mination（s） in the.last 3 ye.rs. The.contrace.tion use.was low pre.TOP and none.of the.wome. we.e.on long-acting re.e.sible.contrace.tion （LARCs） pre. TOP, including those.who had re.e.t te.minations. Conclusion The.e.are.ine.ualitie. and gaps in the.TOP and re.ate. se.vice. in Grimsby which must be.addre.se. to re.uce.the.rate.of TOP. This is a major challe.ge.involving multiple.age.cie.. Provision of contrace.tion across all age.and e.hnic groups, improving se. e.ucation, e.gaging with pare.ts and wome. to improve.the.r ne.otiation skills for safe. se., supporting vulne.able.wome., re.ucing risk factors e.g. alcohol and substance.misuse.and raising aspirations across the.re.ion will contribute.to a re.uction in te.mination rate.

In this study, the.pre.ale.ce.of e.te.de. Spe.trum Be.a-lactamase.(e.BL) producing Kle.sie.la pne.moniae.and e.che.ichia coli isolate. from the.Unive.sity of Abuja Te.ching Hospital and the.National Hospital was de.e.mine.. A total of two hundre. and fifte.n (215) clinical isolate. we.e.e.amine., of which 60% we.e.e. coli and 40% K. pne.moniae.re.pe.tive.y. The.isolate. we.e.colle.te. from various sample. name.y: Stool, Urine. Pus, High Vagina Swab, Sputum and Wound swab. Out of the.e.isolate., 54 of K. pne.moniae.we.e.scre.ne. to be.e.BL ne.ative.and 32 as e.BL positive.isolate., while.88 and 40 e. coli we.e.also scre.ne. as e.BL ne.ative.and e.BL positive.isolate. re.pe.tive.y. The.e.re.re.e.t 37.9% of all K. pne.moniae.isolate. and 31.25% of e. coli isolate. re.pe.tive.y. The.pre.ale.ce.of e.BL among the.spe.ie. was not howe.e. statistically diffe.e.t (p > 0.05). Multiple.re.istance.in the.e.isolate. was common and the.e.is the.ne.d for routine.scre.ning of e.BL in our hospitals to guide.rational and e.fe.tive.use.of antibiotics.
