Through the observation and analysis of the motion trajectory of spiral winding motion for slender legless biological creatures in water,V-REP software is adopted to build a dynamic simulator to study on the mechanism of spiral winding swimming(SWS)*** using the output of spiral function(SF),the dynamic simulation model of slender legless creature(SLC)realizes the SWS motion in *** corresponding experiments under the control of different bending angle of SF to control the dynamic model are also carried out to analyze the water performance of SWS in still *** with the output of two different bending angles of the spiral function,the dynamic model can be used to realize SWS and up/down *** work provides technical reserve and experimental platform for the corresponding study in related fields.

The genotoxic effects of quinalpho s(QP) were evaluated in the erythrocyte s of Cyprinus carpio using the comet,micronucleus,and nuclear abnormality *** 96 h LCvalue of quinalpho s,estimated by static renewal system,was 10.9 μL/*** the basis of the LCvalue,two sublethal concentrations(1.09 and 2.18 μL/L) of the compound were used together with cyclophosphamide(5 mg/L) as the positive *** fish were exposed for 35 d,and sampling was done at the end of 7,14,21,28,and 35 *** re sults reveal a significant dose-dependent increase in the frequencies of DNA strand breaks,micronucleus,and nuclear *** responses were also observed in fish exposed to the positive genotoxin *** collective findings demonstrated that quinalphos exerts a genotoxic effect on *** results further confirmed that the comet,micronucleus,and nuclear abnormality assays are useful tools in determining the potential genotoxicity of pesticides towards aquatic organisms.

The risk during construction and in the operation of the underground gas storage （UGS） was analyzed. One of most important risk which should be prevented is large deformation or destruction of the steel lining. The specific deformation of the steel lining needs to be inside the acceptable value. This paper presents lined rock cavern （LRC） concept and specific deformations, which can occur under operation of underground gas storage. Analysis is performed with different （3D model and axis symmetrical） FEM models and analytical model. We made a comparison between analytical calculation and FEM calculation. Concrete wall is mechanically not regarded as reinforced concrete structure which means that concrete will crack. Finally, we determined the minimum value of Young＇s modulus, which satisfies the condition of maximum deformation of steel lining.

This paper focuses on presenting the current research findings on the “Vehicle to Grid” concept and proposes theoretical model of F2G integration in energy management of a warehouse. The study is based on an analysis of collected data and on model calculations of the economic value. Analyses of data, calculations of economic value and profitability of the proposed business model give positive results, which fully confirm the thesis that the integration of renewable energy sources and new modern technologies in the logistic processes can improve energy management.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by selective,early degeneration of motor neurons in the brain and spinal *** neurons have long axonal projections,which rely on the integrity of neuronal cytoskeleton and mitochondria to regulate energy requirements for maintaining axonal stability,anterograde and retrograde transport,and signaling between *** formation of protein aggregates which contain cytoskeletal proteins,and mitochondrial dysfunction both have devastating effects on the function of neurons and are shared pathological features across several neurodegenerative conditions,including ALS,Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease,Huntington's disease and Charcot-Marie-Tooth ***,it is becoming increasingly clear that cytoskeletal integrity and mitochondrial function are intricately ***,dysregulations of the cytoskeletal network and mitochondrial homeostasis and localization,may be common pathways in the initial steps of *** we review and discuss known contributors,including variants in genetic loci and aberrant protein activities,which modify cytoskeletal integrity,axonal transport and mitochondrial localization in ALS and have overlapping features with other neurodegenerative ***,we explore some emerging pathways that may contribute to this disruption in ALS.

We present photometric analysis of three bright red nova progenitor contact binary systems:ASAS J082151-0612.6,TYC 7281-269-1 and TYC *** primary components in all three systems are solar-type low mass stars with radii somewhat larger than their zero age main sequence *** secondaries,as in most contact binary systems,have radii and luminosities well above their main sequence *** three have extremely low mass ratios ranging from 0.075 to 0.097 and two have high degrees of contact,in excess of 75%.All three have mass ratios and separations below the theoretical values for orbital *** activity,a hallmark of magnetic activity and magnetic braking,considered important in mediating angular momentum loss,is also *** three systems demonstrate the O’Connell effect,and all systems require the introduction of star spots for a better light curve *** addition,we show that ASAS J082151-0612.6 and TYC 7281-269-1 have a UV color excess in the range indicating high chromospheric *** measure of potential significant magnetic activity is X-ray luminosity;TYC 7275-1968-1 and probably also TYC 7281-269-1 have X-ray luminosity well above other contact binary *** conclude that it is likely that all three are unstable and hence are potential merger candidates.

Maize cobs are valuable plant residues that can be used for many different purposes,including as a renewable energy *** their value,maize cobs are still underutilized,mainly because people are not aware of their potential and harvesting techniques for their collection are still being ***,this research focused on finding the most suitable energy-and time-efficient method for mechanical collection of maize *** the combine harvester with an additional hopper proved to be the most promising solution,as it allows harvesting and storage of maize grain and maize cobs in one pass,while the harvesting time remains almost the same and the maize cobs are of good quality,as they do not fall on the field.A prototype with enlarged openings in the straw walkers,an additional grab container for maize cobs,a transport auger,a transport cleaning fan with built-in knives,a transport tube and some other assemblies was fabricated and used in *** first test results are very encouraging(94.4%-96.0%purity of maize cobs)and the system has been patented as a promising solution,especially in times when the environmental sustainability of the planet and energy independence are becoming increasingly important.

This paper describes a Bayesian approach to robot group control applied in industrial applications. The proposed model is based on well-known concepts of Ubiquitous Computing and can enable some degree of contextual perception of the environment. Compared with classical industrial robots, usually preprogrammed for a limited number of operations/actions, the system based on this model can react in uncertain situations and scenarios. The model combines ontology to describe the specific domain of interest and decision-making mechanisms based on Bayesian Networks to enable the work of a single robot without human intervention by learning Behavioral Patterns of other robots in the group. The described model is designed to be expressive enough to provide adequate level of abstractions needed for making timely appropriate actions and respecting the current application.

Application of Ultrasonic Measurements for Determination of Setting and Hardening in Cement Paste

Concrete setting and hardening processes are the most critical phases during construction works, influencing properties of a concrete structure. The initial set is important as it provides an estimate when concrete has reached a point that it can no longer he vibrated without damaging concrete. The point at which final set occurs is important since it provides an estimate when the development of concrete strength and stiffness starts. In this study, experimental work is performed under laboratory conditions to indentify the setting time of cement paste using ultrasonic waves. Correlation between the ultrasonic wave parameters （speed, amplitude and energy） passing through the fresh cement paste and setting time determined using the Vicat test method is analyzed. A method of acoustic emission is also used and acoustic signals recorded in cement paste during hydration are presented.
