THE BURDEN OF MYOPIA IN CHINESE CHILDREN Childhood myopia has emerged as a critical and underestimated public health issue globally,particularly in China and east Asian *** prevalence of myopia in Chinese children and adolescents is alarmingly high,with rates of 72%and 81%among middle school(ages 11–13 years)and high school(ages 14–17 years)students,respectively,resulting in an overall prevalence of approximately 54%.

Based on five different ensembles of newly generated(2+1)-flavor configurations with pion mass of approximately mπ■(140-310)MeV,we present a lattice analysis of hidden-charm and hidden-strange hexaquarks with the quark content■.The correlation matrices of two types of operators with JPC=0++,0-+,1++and 1--are simulated to extract the masses of the hexaquark candidates,which are subsequently extrapolated to the physical pion mass and continuum *** results indicate that ground state masses are below the■threshold and provide a characteristic signal for the experimental discovery of hexaquark candidates,which may enrich the versatile structure of multiquarks;moreover,it is an indispensable step to decipher the nonperturbative nature of the fundamental interactions of quarks and gluons.

Recent years have witnessed rapid progress in calculating parton distribution functions (PDFs), rather than just their moments, from lattice QCD [1-9]. The most remarkable aspect of such calculations is that one can connect appropriately chosen Euclidean correlation functions calculable on the lattice to PDFs through a perturbative matching relation. This can be understood in the framework of the large-momentum effective theory (LaMET)[10, 11].

We propose a strategy to access the qq component of the p resonance in lattice QCD. Through a mixed action formalism（overlap valence on domain wall sea）, the energy of the qq component is derived at different valence quark masses, and shows a linear dependence on mπ^2. The slope is determined to be c1 =0.505（3）GeV^-1, from which the valence πρ sigma term is extracted to be σ（πρ）^val= 9.82（6） MeV using the Feynman-Hellman theorem. At the physical pion mass, the mass of the qq component is interpolated to be mρ = 775.9±6.0±1.8 MeV, which is close to the p resonance mass. We also obtain the leptonic decay constant of the qq component to be fρ-=208.5±5.5±0.9 MeV, which can be compared with the experimental value fρ^exp≈221 MeV through the relation fρ^exp=（1/2）Zfρ±, with Zρ≈1.13 being the on-shell wavefunction renormalization of p owing to the ρ-π interaction. We emphasize that mρand fρ of the qq component, which are obtained for the first time from QCD, can be taken as the input parameters of p in effective field theory studies where p acts as a fundamental degree of freedom.

Aim： To evaluate the antiproliferative activity of contragestazol （DL111-IT） on the human prostate cancer cell line PC3 in vitro and in vivo and to elucidate its potential molecular mechanisms. Methods： The cell killing ability of DL111-IT was measured by the 3-（4,5-dimethylthia-zol,2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide （MTT） reagent assay method and the tumor xenograft model. The cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometry and protein expression, including retinoblastoma （pRb）, cyclin-dependent kinase 4 （CDK4） and cyclin D 1, was detected by Western blotting. Results： DL111-IT exhibited high efficiency on cell growth inhibition of the human androgen-independent prostate cancer cell line PC3. The drug concentration that yielded 50 % cell inhibition （IC50 value） was 9.9 mg/mL. In the PC3 tumor xenograft study, DL111-IT （1.25 mg/kg-20.0 mg/kg） given once a day for 10 days significantly inhibited tumor growth, with the inhibition rate ranging from 21% to 50 %. Flow cytometric analysis indicated that DL111-IT could cause GI arrest in the PC3 cell line, but not apoptosis. DL111-IT enhanced pRb expression and down-regulated CDK4 and cyclin D 1 expression, suggesting that cell cycle regulation might contribute to the anticancer property of DL 111- IT. Conclusion： DL111-1T inhibits the proliferation of human androgen-independent prostate cancer cell line PC3 in vitro and in vivo by a cell cycle regulation pathway.

Background:Identifying factors associated with cardiovascular disease(CVD)is critical for its prevention,but this topic is scarcely investigated in Kashgar prefecture,Xinjiang,northwestern *** thus explored the CVD epidemi-ology and identified prominent factors associated with CVD in this ***:A total of 1,887,710 adults at baseline(in 2017)of the Kashgar Prospective Cohort Study were included in the *** candidate factors,including seven demographic factors,4 lifestyle factors,and 5 clinical factors,were collected from a questionnaire and health examination *** was defined according to International Clinical Diagnosis(ICD-10)*** first used logistic regression models to investigate the association between each of the candidate factors and ***,we employed 3 machine learning methods-Random Forest,Random Ferns,and Extreme Gradient boosting-to rank and identify prominent factors associated with *** analyses by sex,ethnicity,education level,economic status,and residential setting were also performed to test the consistency of the ***:The prevalence of CVD in Kashgar prefecture was 8.1%.All the 16 candidate factors were confirmed to be significantly associated with CVD(odds ratios ranged from 1.03 to 2.99,all p values<0.05)in logistic regression *** machine learning-based analysis suggested that age,occupation,hypertension,exercise frequency,and dietary pattern were the five most prominent factors associated with *** ranking of relative importance for prominent factors in stratification analyses showed that the factor importance generally followed the same pattern as that in the overall ***:CVD is a major public health concern in Kashgar ***,occupation,hypertension,exercise frequency,and dietary pattern might be the prominent factors associated with CVD in this *** the future,these factors should be given priority in preventing CVD in future.
