Thiazoloisoindigo-based Polymer Semiconductors: Synthesis,Structure-Property Relationship, Charge Carrier Polarity, and Field-Effect Transistor Performance

Developing new polymeric semiconductors with excellent device performance is essential for organic electronics. Herein, we synthesized two new thiazoloisoindigo(Tz II)-based polymers, namely, P(Tz II-d Th-d Th) and P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz), by copolymerizing thiophene-flanked Tz II with bithiophene and bithiazole, respectively. Owing to the more electron-deficient nature of bithiazole than bithiophene, P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz)possesses deeper LUMO/HOMO levels of-3.45/-5.47 e V than P(Tz II-d Th-d Th)(-3.34/-5.32 e V). The organic field-effect transistor(OFET) devices based on P(Tz II-d Th-d Th) exhibited p-type behaviors with an average hole mobility value as high as 1.43 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1), while P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz)showed typical ambipolar characteristics with average hole and electron mobilities of 0.38 and 0.56 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1). In addition, we compared the performances of both polymers with other Tz II-based polymers reported in our previous work, and showed that the charge carrier polarity can be manipulated by adjusting the number of the thiophene units between the acceptor unit. As the increase of the number of thiophene rings,charge carrier polarity shifts from electron-dominated ambipolar transport to hole-dominated ambipolar transport and then to unipolar hole transport in OFETs, which provides an effective molecular design strategy for further optimization of polymer OFET performance.

BACKGROUND Gastric bronchogenic cysts(BCs)are extremely rare cystic masses caused by abnormal development of the respiratory system during the embryonic *** bronchial cysts are rare lesions that were first reported in 1956;as of 2023,only 33 cases are available in the PubMed online *** usually have no clinical symptoms in the early stage,and imaging findings also lack ***,they are difficult to diagnose before histopathological *** SUMMARY A 34-year-old woman with respiratory distress presented at our *** ultrasound revealed an anechoic mass between the spleen,left kidney and gastric fundus,with hyperechogenic and soft elastography textures and with a size of approximately 6.5 cm×4.0 ***,a computed tomography scan demonstrated high density between the posterior stomach and the spleen and the left kidney,with uniform internal density and a small amount of *** maximum cross section was approximately 10.1 cm×6.1 cm,and the possibility of a cyst was *** the imaging findings did not suggest a malignancy and because the patient required complete resection,she underwent laparotomy ***,this cystic lesion was found to be located in the posterior wall of the large curvature of the fundus and was approximately 8 cm×6 cm in ***,the pathologists verified that the cyst in the fundus was a gastric *** patient recovered well,her symptoms of chest tightness disappeared,and the abdominal drain was removed on postoperative day 6,after which she was discharged on day 7 for 6 months of *** had no tumor recurrence or postoperative complications during the *** This is a valuable report as it describes an extremely rare case of gastric ***,this was a very young patient with a large BC in the stomach.

Application of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology

Artificial intelligence is a general term that means to accomplish a task mainly by a computer, with the least human beings participation, and it is widely accepted as the invention of robots. With the development of this new technology, artificial intelligence has been one of the most influential information technology revolutions. We searched these English-language studies relative to ophthalmology published on PubMed and Springer databases. The application of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology mainly concentrates on the diseases with a high incidence, such as diabetic retinopathy, agerelated macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, age-related or congenital cataract and few with retinal vein occlusion. According to the above studies, we conclude that the sensitivity of detection and accuracy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy ranged from 75% to 91.7%, for non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy ranged from 75% to 94.7%, for age-related macular degeneration it ranged from 75% to 100%, for retinopathy of prematurity ranged over 95%, for retinal vein occlusion just one study reported ranged over 97%, for glaucoma ranged 63.7% to 93.1%, and for cataract it achieved a more than 70% similarity against clinical grading.

Effects of mixture of lidocaine and ropivacaine at different concentrations on the central nervous system and cardiovascular toxicity in rats

Background lidocaine and ropivacaine are often combined in clinical practice to obtain a rapid onset and a prolonged duration of action. However, the systemic toxicity of their mixture at different concentrations is unclear. This study aimed to compare the systemic toxicity of the mixture of ropivacaine and lidocaine at different concentrations when administered intravenously in rats. Methods Forty-eJght male WJstar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups （n=12 each）： 0.5% ropJvacaine （group Ⅰ）; 1.0% ropivacaine and 1.0% lidocaine mixture （group Ⅱ）; 1.0% ropivacaine and 2.0% lidocaine mixture （group Ⅲ）; and 1.0% lidocaine （group Ⅳ）. Local anesthetics were infused at a constant rate until cardiac arrest. Electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram and arterial blood pressure were continuously monitored. The onset of toxic manifestations （seizure, dysrhythmia, and cardiac arrest） was recorded, and then the doses of local anesthetics were calculated. Arterial blood samples were drawn for the determination of local anesthetics concentrations by high-performance liquid chromatography. Results The onset of dysrhythmia was later significantly in group IV than in group Ⅰ, group Ⅱ, and group Ⅲ （P 〈0.01）, but there was no significant difference in these groups （P 〉0.05）. The onset of seizure, cardiac arrest in group Ⅰ （（9.2±1.0） min, （37.0±3.0） min） was similar to that in group Ⅱ（（9.1±0.9） min, （35.0±4.0） min）（P 〉0.05）, but both were later in group Ⅲ （（7.5±0.7） min, （28.0±3.0） min）（P 〈0.05）. The onset of each toxic manifestation was significantly later in group Ⅳ than in group Ⅰ （P 〈0.01）. The plasma concentrations of the lidocaine-alone group at the onset of dysrhythmia （DYS）, cardiac arrest （CA）（（41.2±6.8） min, （59.0±9.0） min） were higher than those of the ropivacaine alone group （（20.5±3.8） min, （38.0±8.0） min）（P 〈0.05）. The plasma concentrations of ropivacaine inducing toxic manifestation were not significantly different among groups Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ（P 〉0.05）. Conclusions The

Mechanical and tribological properties of graphene nanoplatelets-reinforced titanium composites fabricated by powder metallurgy

Titanium matrix composite reinforced by graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs)was fabricated via powder metallurgy *** isostatic pressing and hot extrusion were used to consolidate the mixed powder of GNPs and TC4 titanium(Ti)*** microstructures,mechanical properties and sliding wear performance of Ti/GNPs composite had been researched to evaluate the rein forcing effect of GNPs on tita nium *** observation indicates that GNPs could restrain grai n growth slightly in titanium *** matrix and graphene exhibit a clean and firm interface formed by means of metallurgical bonding on atomic *** with the monolithic titanium alloy,the composite with 1.2 vol.%GNPs exhibits significantly improved elastic modulus and *** sliding wear test shows that there is an obvious enhancement in the tribological performance of Ti/GNPs composite with 1.2 vol.%*** results of this work indicate that GNP is an efficient reinforcenient material in titanium *** strengthening mechanism including precipitates strengthening,load transfer and grain refinement mechanism of GNPs in titanium matrix was discussed.A modified shear-lag model was used to analyze the reinforcement contribution of the stress transfer *** calculation shows that the stress load mechanism constitutes the main strengthening mechanism in Ti/GNPs composite.

Electron-rich thiophene-flanked thiazoloisoindigo(Th-TzII)has been reported as a building block for ambipolar polymeric field-effect transistors however with preferable hole ***,we report that by using an electron deficient thiazole as the flanked moiety,the corresponding thiazoloisoindigo(Tz-TzII)can still be synthesized,although in a more sinuous *** calculation and experimental results demonstrate that Tz-TzII is more electron-deficient than Th-TzII,and the corresponding polymer P(TzII-Tz-T-Tz)exhibits high and balanced hole/electron mobility of 0.70/0.64 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1).

High-order numerical method for the derivative nonlinear Schrodinger equation

In this work,a fourth-order numerical scheme in space and two second-order numerical schemes in both time and space are proposed for the derivative nonlinear Schrodinger *** verify the mass conservation for the two-level implicit *** influence on the soliton solution by adding a small random perturbation to the initial condition is *** numerical experiments are given to test the accuracy order for different schemes,*** also test the conservative property of mass and Hamiltonian for these schemes from the numerical point of view.
