A bimetal-exchanged NaY zeolite(Cu(Ⅰ)-Y(Ⅲ)-Y)with a desirable adsorptive desulfurization(ADS)performance was prepared and characterized by means of X-ray diffraction,specific surface area measurements,X-ray fluorescence spectrometer,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,thermal gravity analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The effect of Y(Ⅲ)ions on ADS in the presence of the xylenes was investigated.Results indicated that the ADS performance of Y(Ⅲ)-Y is higher than that of most reported CeY.The Y(Ⅲ)-based Cu(Ⅰ)-Y(Ⅲ)-Y demonstrated the higher breakthrough loading than those of reported Ce(Ⅲ)/Ce(Ⅳ)-based transition metal Y zeolites,showing that Y(Ⅲ)ions play a promoting role in improving the ADS selectivity.For Cu(Ⅰ)-Y(Ⅲ)-Y,a new strong S-M interaction(S stands for sulfur,while M stands for metal)active site was formed,which might be caused by the synergistic effect between Cu(Ⅰ)and Y(Ⅲ).The Cu(Ⅰ)-Y(Ⅲ)-Y,which combined the advantages of Cu(I)-Y and Y(Ⅲ)-Y,is a kind of promising adsorbent.The breakthrough loading decreased in the order of Cu(Ⅰ)-Y(Ⅲ)-Y>Y(Ⅲ)-Y>Cu(Ⅰ)-Y,and the effect of xylene isomers on the sulfur removal was in the order of ortho-xylene>meta-xylene>para-xylene,which exhibited the same trend with the bond order of xylenes.

The behavior of oil and water in tight rocks can change the distribution of oil or water in pores,which affects the production of crude oil.Nuclear Magnetic Resonance(NMR)method is an effective and nondestructive tool for evaluating rocks with comparison and analysis both quantitatively and qualitatively.In our study,20 MHz NMR Relaxometry is used as a key technique to study the changes of water and oil behaviors in Chinese lacustrine Qingshankou shales under different saturated states(imbibition and evaporation without pressure).The results show that variation in different proton populations(water,oil and organic)can be distinguished using 2D T_(1)-T_(2)maps.The comparison among T_(1)-T_(2)maps with different saturated states shows that different signal regions changed during oil and water migrations,which the 1D NMR Relaxometry may be not easy to approach.Combined with the pyrolysis analysis,T2 shift and differences of signal regions in T_(1)-T_(2)maps can reflect properties such as wettability and composition(organic matter,clay and magnetic minerals)to some extent.This study provides better insight into oil and water behaviors in lacustrine oil shales with further understanding of 20 MHz NMR 2D T_(1)-T_(2)maps both in qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Oxidative desulfurization from fuel oil is one of the important methods for deep desulfurization.The development of efficient oxidative desulfurization catalysts is crucial for improving the desulfurization performance.Successful encapsulation of phosphotungstic acid(HPW)and ionic liquid(BMImBr)inside the mesoporous cages of MIL-101(Cr)was accomplished through a combination of“bottle around ship”and“ship in bottle”methods.The obtained BMImPW@MIL-101(Cr)composite was characterized by XRD,FTIR,BET,SEM,XPS and ICP methods.Results indicated that the BMImPW@MIL-101(Cr)composites with PW^(3−) loading of 23.1–50.7 wt%were obtained,demonstrating that the“bottle around ship”method is beneficial to make full use of nanocages of MIL-101(Cr)to obtain expected high loading of active PW^(3−) .The BMImPW@MIL-101(Cr)exhibits excellent reusability with no evidence of leaching of active PW^(3−) and BMIm^(+),and well-preserved structure after successive cycles of regeneration and reuse.The significantly improved stability of BMImPW@MIL-101(Cr)as compared to HPW@MIL-101(Cr)is possibly because the leaching of the active PW^(3−) −sites can be greatly suppressed by forming large size of BMImPW owing to introduction of BMIm^(+)cation.The BMImPW@MIL-101(Cr)exhibited excellent catalytic activity for solvent free oxidative desulfurization of refractory sulfides.The enhanced oxidative desulfurization activity as compared to HPW@MIL-101(Cr)can be explained by the intimate contact of sulfides with active PW^(3−) sites owing the strong attraction of BMIm^(+)cation with the sulfides.

A large amount of progress has achieved in neuroscience,however,there is still a lack of reasonable model for the storage/output(S/O)of life information.The cyclical motion of cardio-and pulmonary-myocyte is a typical process of the life information S/O,while the opening and closing sites of Ca^(2+)ion channels during the motion can form a genetically programmed time-dependent three-dimensional(3D)pattern.Those phenomena indicate a strong correlation of the information S/O model of these myocytes with the time-sequence 3D patterns.Therefore,based on the time-dependent Ca^(2+)fluorescence imaging during the motion of cardio-and pulmonary-myocyte,here we suggest a four-dimensional(4D)code of information S/O model in cell and nervous system.Further from the fact of pulmonary myocyte motion able to be controlled by brain,it is deduced that the 4D code in brain has a role of controlling muscles through a pathway of the central nervous system,peripheral nervous system,neuromuscular junction,and muscle cells.In addition,we also suggested the 4D code of non-innate skill that can be programmed by the learning/training of a long time(~3 years),such as walking,writing,painting,sports,speech,singing,and dancing.Noticeably,this 4D S/O model is reasonable for the ultralow energy consumption of life information transmission.

A new gold(I)self-relay catalysis consisting of a 3,3-rearrangement,Nazarov cyclization and Michael addition cascade of 1,3-enyne acetates with aurones and their derived azadienes is reported,and used to produce a series of densely functionalized cyclopentenones bearing a cyclic quaternary stereocenter in moderate to good yields under mild conditions.This tandem protocol demonstrates high regioselectivity,broad substrate flexibility and good functional group tolerance of substrates without inert atmosphere protection,providing a catalytic and convergent approach for creating all-carbon stereoscopic centers.

Experiment Study of the Evolution of Coral Sand Particle Clouds in Water

The motion of particle clouds(i.e.,sediment clouds)usually can be found in engineering applications such as wastewater discharge,land reclamation,and marine bed capping.In this paper,a series of laboratory tests are conducted on coral sand to investigate the shape feature of the single particle and the mixing processes of the coral sand particle clouds.The shape of coral sand particle is measured and quantified.The experimental results demonstrate that the shape of coral sand particles tends to be spherical as the particle size decreases,and empirical equations were established to explain the variation of D50 and fS,50 of coral sand.Compared with the silica sand,the evolution of the coral sand particle cloud still experiences three stages,but the threshold for the Reynolds number of particle clouds entering the next stage changes.Further,the normalized axial distance of the coral sand particle clouds is 58%smaller.The frontal velocity exhibits similar varying tendency for the coral sand particle cloud.Considering the difference in shape between coral sand particles and silica sand particles,a semi-empirical formula was proposed based on the original silica sand prediction formula by adding the shape factor and the experimental data of 122μm≤D_(50)≤842μm.It can predict the frontal velocity of the coral sand particle clouds.

The further electrification of various fields in production and daily life makes it a topic worthy of exploration to improve the performance of capacitors for a long time,including thin-film capacitors.The discharge energy density of thin-film capacitors that serves as one of the important types directly depends on electric field strength and the dielectric constant of the insulation material.However,it has long been a great challenge to improve the breakdown strength and dielectric constant simultaneously.Considering that boron nitride nanosheets(BNNS)possess superior insulation and thermal conductivity owing to wide band gap and 2-dimensional structure,a bilayer polymer film is prepared via coating BNNS by solution casting on surface of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)films.By revealing the bandgap and insulating behavior with UV absorption spectrum,leakage current,and finite element calculation,it is manifested that nanocoating contributes to enhance the bandgap of polymer films,thereby suppressing the charge injection by redirecting their transport from electrodes.Worthy to note that an ultrahigh breakdown field strength(~736 MV m^(−1)),an excellent discharge energy density(~8.77 J cm^(−3))and a prominent charge-discharge efficiency(~96.51%)are achieved concurrently,which is ascribed to the contribution of BNNS ultrathin layer.In addition,the modified PET films also have superior comprehensive performance at high temperatures(~120°C).The materials and methods here selected are easily accessible and facile,which are suitable for large-scale roll-to-roll process production,and are of certain significance to explore the methods about film modification suitable for commercial promotion.

The present study evaluated the expression of key molecules and the status of DNA in both oral squamous cell carcinoma（OSCC） and adjacent tissues to establish a molecular surgical boundary and provide a cancer progression model. Biopsy samples from 50 OSCC patients were divided into T（cancer）, P1（0–0.5 cm）, P2（0.5–1 cm）, P3（1–1.5 cm） and P4（1.5–2 cm） groups based on the distances from the visible boundary of the primary focus. Twenty samples of normal mucosa were used as controls. We used immunohistochemical staining and flow cytometry to evaluate p53, p21CIP1/WAF1, e IF4 E and Ki-67 expression and to determine DNA status, respectively. Sub-mucosal invasion was present in the P1 and P2 groups as determined by haematoxylin and eosin staining.Mutant p53 expression decreased gradually from cancerous to normal mucosae, whereas p21CIP1/WAF1 expression displayed an opposite trend. e IF4 E expression decreased from cancerous to normal mucosae. Ki-67 expression, the heteroploidy ratio, S-phase fraction and proliferative index decreased gradually with the distance from the tumour centre. Based on these results, we suggest that the resection boundary in OSCC surgery should be beyond 2 cm from the tumour. Additionally, the adjacent tissues of the primary focus could be used as a model for assessing cancer progression.

As a newly emerging computing paradigm, edge computing shows great capability in supporting and boosting 5G and Internet-of-Things (IoT) oriented applications, e.g., scientific workflows with low-latency, elastic, and on-demand provisioning of computational resources. However, the geographically distributed IoT resources are usually interconnected with each other through unreliable communications and ever-changing contexts, which brings in strong heterogeneity, potential vulnerability, and instability of computing infrastructures at different levels. It thus remains a challenge to enforce high fault-tolerance of edge-IoT scientific computing task flows, especially when the supporting computing infrastructures are deployed in a collaborative, distributed, and dynamic environment that is prone to faults and failures. This work proposes a novel fault-tolerant scheduling approach for edge-IoT collaborative workflows. The proposed approach first conducts a dependency-based task allocation analysis, then leverages a Primary-Backup (PB) strategy for tolerating task failures that occur at edge nodes, and finally designs a deep Q-learning algorithm for identifying the near-optimal workflow task scheduling scheme. We conduct extensive simulative case studies on multiple randomly-generated workflow and real-world edge-IoT server position datasets. Results clearly suggest that our proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art competitors in terms of task completion ratio, server active time, and resource utilization.

Effects of muddy water irrigation with different sediment gradations on nitrogen transformation in agricultural soil of Yellow River Basin

Muddy water irrigation has been widely practiced in the Yellow River Basin for agricultural production and is an important method of economical and intensive utilization of water resources.In this study,the effects of sediment gradation,sand content,and soil moisture content on nitrogen(N)transformation were studied through a series of experimental tests.The results indicated that muddy water irrigation significantly affected agricultural soil physical and biological properties as well as N transformation.Soil bulk density,total porosity,pH,and microbial enzyme activities significantly correlated with N transformation as affected by the interaction between sediment and soil moisture.Sediment addition generally increased the soil bulk density and reduced the soil porosity and pH significantly,and the optimum moisture for promotion of the N transformation rate was 80%of the water-filled pore space.Therefore,muddy water irrigation has a potentially long-term influence on agricultural N cycles in semi-arid regions of northwestern China.This could provide a theoretical basis for scientific and rational use of muddy water for irrigation.
