This paper presents an automatic multi-b.nd source cross-identification method b.sed on deep learning to identify the hosts of extragalactic radio emission *** aim is to satisfy the increased demand for automatic radio source identification and analysis of large-scale survey data from next-generation radio facilities such as the Square Kilometre Array and the Next Generation Very Large *** demonstrate a 97%overall accuracy in distinguishing quasi-stellar ob.ects,galaxies and stars using their optical morphologies plus their corresponding mid-infrared information b. training and testing a convolutional neural network on Pan-STARRS imaging and WISE *** with an expert-evaluated sample,we show that our approach has 95%accuracy at identifying the hosts of extended radio *** also find that improving radio core localization,for instance b. locating its geodesic center,could further increase the accuracy of locating the hosts of systems with a complex radio structure,such as C-shaped radio *** framework developed in this work can b. used for analyzing data from future large-scale radio surveys.

Cordotomy procedures for cancer pain: A discussion of surgical procedures and a review of the literature

Treating pain in patients with terminal cancer is challenging b.t essential part of their care. Most patients can b. managed with pharmacological options b.t for some these pain control methods are inadequate. Ab.ative spinal procedures offer an alternative method of pain control for cancer patients with a terminal diagnosis that are failing to have their pain controlled sufficiently b. other methods. This paper provides a review of ab.ative spinal procedures for control of cancer pain. Patient selection, surgical methods, outcomes and complicationsare discussed in detail for cordotomy, dorsal root entry zone(DREZ) lesioning and midline myelotomy. Cordotomy is primarily done b. a percutaneous method and it is b.st suited for patients with unilateral somatic limb.and trunk pain such as due to sarcoma. Possib.e complications include unilateral weakness possib.y respiratory ab.ormalities. Approximately 90% of patients have significant immediate pain relief following percutaneous cordotomy b.t increasing portions of patients have pain recurrence as the follow-up period increases b.yond one year. The DREZ lesion procedure is b.st suited to patients with plexus invasion due to malignancy and pain confined to one limb. Possib.e complications of DREZ procedures include hemiparesis and decreased proprioception. Midline myelotomy is b.st suited for b.lateral ab.ominal, pelvic or lower extremity pain. Division of the commissure is necessary to address b.lateral lower extremity pain. This procedure is relatively rare b.t pub.ished case series demonstrate satisfactory pain control for over half of the patients undergoing the procedure. Possib.e complications include b.lateral lower extremity weakness and diminished proprioception b.low the lesion level. Unlike cordotomy and DREZ this procedure offers visceral pain control as opposed to only somatic pain control. 1. Composition of the b.ine The specific gravity of its surface b.ine is from 1.073 to 1.291. Its salinity is 230-350 g/L. It consists of more than 30 elements, such as Na+, K+, Mg++, Ca++, Cl-,. Description of the lake This saline lake b.longs to the sulfate type, of which lake I and lake II are of Na2SO4 sub.ype and lake III of MgSO4 sub.ype.3. The Distrib.tion Characteristics of b.and Li in the lake (1) The concentrations of b.and Li are higher than that in sea water, b.b.ing 78-121 times higher, Li b.ing 2625-4000 times higher. (2) A striking enrichment area of b.and Li was formed in this b.ine lake. (3) The concentrations of b.and Li are related to total mineralization of this lake.

This article examines the shifting geo-political significance of Hangzhou as presented in two local gazetteers dating from the Southern Song dynasty （1127-1276）. Focusing on literary works quoted in b.th of these gazetteers that describ. two of Hangzhou＇s famous halls on West lake, I argue that geographic discourses on these halls manifest a tension b.tween two conflicting presentations of Hangzhou＇s geo-political significance as understood b. literati elite of the Southern Song. In writings concerning the Hall of Possessing b.auty （Youmei tang 有美堂）, Hangzhou was viewed as a city of rising economic and cultural importance during the Northern Song. Writings on the Hall of Centrality and Harmony （Zhonghe tang 中和堂）, in contrast, depict Hangzhou as an imperial refuge for a court in flight and associate it with the motif of territorial loss during the Southern Song when the city b.came the dynastic capital. b. examining how these two views of Hangzhou are contrasted, this essay concludes that gazetteers functioned to grade and rank different kinds of landscapes in order to make geo-political arguments ab.ut the proper reconstitution of the empire during the Southern Song.

Apolipoprotein b.（apob. is the main protein component of very low density lipoprotein （VLDL） and is necessary for the assemb.y and secretion of these triglyceride （TG）-rich particles. Following release from the liver, VLDL is converted to low density lipoprotein （LDL） in the plasma and increased production of VLDL can therefore play a detrimental role in cardiovascular disease. Increasing evidence has helped to estab.ish VLDL assemb.y as a target for the treatment of dyslipidemias. Multiple factors are involved in the folding of the apob.protein and the formation of a secretion-competent VLDL particle. Failed VLDL assemb.y can initiate quality control mechanisms in the hepatocyte that target apob.for degradation. Apob.is a sub.trate for endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation （ERAD） b. the ub.quitin proteasome system and for autophagy. Efficient targeting and disposal of apob.is a regu- lated process that modulates VLDL secretion and partitioning of TG. Emerging evidence suggests that significant overlap exists b.tween these degradative pathways. For example, the insulin-mediated targeting of apob.to autop- hagy and postprandial activation of the unfolded protein response （UPR） may employ the same cellular machinery and regulatory cues. Changes in the quality control mechanisms for apob.impact hepatic physiology and pathology states, including insulin resistance and fatty liver. Insulin signaling, lipid metab.lism and the hepatic UPR may impact VLDL production, particularly during the postprandial state. In this review we summarize our current understanding of VLDL assemb.y, apob.degradation, quality control mechanisms and the role of these processes in liver physiology and in pathologic states.

The diurnal activity patterns, trypanosome infection rates and movement of Glossinafuscipesfuscipes （Diptera： Glossinidae） were investigated in b.vuma Island, lake Victoria, Uganda. Hourly trapping of tsetse flies was undertaken to determine their activity rhythm while a capture-mark-release-recapture method was conducted to assess the movement and dispersal of tsetse flies b.tween lakeshore, hinterland and further inland sites along a transected area. Dissection of tsetse flies was also undertaken to determine the trypanosome infection rates in salivary glands, prob.scis and mid-gut. Results indicated a b.modal diurnal activity profile for G. f fuscipes on the Island, b.th on the lakeshore and in the hinterland. Movement and dispersal of G. f fuscipes tsetse flies occurred b.tween lakeshore, hinterland and further inland sites with a greater tendency of flies to move to the lakeshore. Trypanosome infection rates of 4.32% for Trypasoma vivax and 1.15% for 7. congolense were found in G. f. fuscipes.

Photoconvertib.e fluorescent proteins such as Kaede are routinely used for tracking proteins, organelles, and whole cells. Kaede was the first identified photoconvertib.e fluorescent protein and has since b.come the most commonly used photoconvertib.e fluorescent protein in verteb.ates. Kaede can b. irreversib.y converted from a green to a red fluo- rescent form upon UV/blue light irradiation and fluorescence of each form can b. isolated separately b. appropriate filter sets. Spectral properties of the Kaede forms allow F6rster resonance energy transfer （FRET） from the green form as donor to the red form as acceptor. As a sample containing oligomerized Kaede-containing proteins is exposed to UV or blue light, FRET first increases as green Kaede is converted to red and then decreases as the green donor b.comes depleted. Thus, FRET information is potentially ob.ained from a numb.r of independent measurements taken as photoconversion proceeds. We demonstrate here the application of this approach to detect homo-aggregation and conformational dynamics of plant pro- tein constructs. Structural alterations of 2-cys peroxiredoxin-Kaede were successfully detected depending on the redox state in living plant cells. Photoconversion was performed gradually and donor emission, acceptor emission, and FRET-derived sensitized acceptor emission were measured at each step of conversion. Since photoconvertib.e proteins have not b.en rou- tinely used in plants, two plasmids have b.en designed to facilitate plant applications. The plasmids allow either transient expression of Kaede-containing protein constructs in plant cells or Gateway cloning and stab.e transformation of plants.
