In the present study,the green synthesis of potassium nanoparticles(K-NPs)was assessed using aqueous extract of Sideroxylon *** potassium nanoparticles were analyzed by UV-visible spectroscopic techniques,X-ray spectrometers of energy dispersive(SEM-EDS)and dynamic light *** results showed high values at 3.5 keV confirming the formation of potassium nanoparticles and the SEM analysis showed an agglomerated particles size between 360 to 200 nm with a spherical *** K-NPs showed an effective antibacterial activity against the test organisms mainly with Bacillus cereus,Enterobacter aerogenes,Fusarium solani and Botrytis *** further studies about nanotoxicity of K-NPs are needed to confirm their potential in the control of the pathogen microorganisms under field conditions.

The Bub1 and BubR1 kinetochore proteins support proper chromosome segregation and mitotic checkpoint activity. Bub1 and BubR1 are paralogs with Bub1 being a kinase, while BubR1 localizes the PP2A-B56 protein phosphatase to kinetochores in humans. Whether this spatial separation of kinase and phosphatase activity is important is unclear as some organisms integrate both activities into one Bub protein. Here, we engineer human Bub1 and BubR1 proteins integrating kinase and phosphatase activities into one protein and show that these do not support normal mitotic progression. A Bub1–PP2A-B56 complex can support chromosome alignment but results in impairment of the checkpoint due to dephosphorylation of the Mad1 binding site in Bub1. Furthermore, a chimeric BubR1 protein containing the Bub1 kinase domain induces delocalized H2ApT120 phosphorylation, resulting in the reduction of centromeric hSgo2 and chromosome segregation errors. Collectively, these results argue that the spatial separation of kinase and phosphatase activities within the Bub complex is required for balancing its functions in the checkpoint and chromosome alignment.

Microbes that are beneficial to plants are used to enhance the crop growth,yield and are alternatives to chemical *** and Bacillus are the predominant plant growth-promoting fungi and *** objective of this study was select,characterize,and evaluate isolates of Trichoderma *** Bacillus *** from the northern region of Sinaloa,Mexico,and assess their effect on growth promotion in maize(Zea mays l.).In greenhouse conditions,four Trichoderma isolates and twenty Bacillus isolates,as well as two controls,were tested in a completely randomized design with three *** selected the two best strains of Trichoderma and Bacillus:TB=Trichoderma asperellum,TF=Trichoderma virens,B14=Bacillus cereus sensu lato and B17=Bacillus cereus,which were evaluated in the field in a completely randomized blocks in factorial arrangement design with three replicates applying different rates of nitrogen fertilizer(0,150 kg N/ha,and 300 kg N/ha).Treatments 5(B17=***)and 11(TF=***)both fertilized with 150 kg N/ha showed similar yields and they did not reveal significant differences from the treatments fertilized with 300 kg N/*** indicated that treatment 5(B17=*** with 150 kg N/ha)and treatment 11(TF=*** with 150 kg N/ha)were efficient as growth promoters,by not showing significant differences in root volume and dry weight of *** results indicated a reduction of 50% in the rate of nitrogen to fertilizer required for maize(Zea mays l.)*** microorganisms Trichoderma and Bacillus could be an alternative to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers in maize.

BACKGROUND： Balance problems are common in people of all ages and can lead to falls, thus causing fractures with consequent disability. Qigong practice has long been part of daily life in Chinese culture, and has good effects on physical health maintenance. OBJECTIVE： The present work describes the change in balance in young, healthy women after practising Qigong for eight weeks. DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS AND INTERVENTIONS： The study took the form of a controlled, randomised longitudinal trial, and involved 30 women aged 18-25 years. The subjects had no prior experience of Qigong or Tai Chi and were unaware of the aims of the study. Subjects were randomly assigned to a Qigong intervention group or a control group. Those in the Qigong intervention group performed ＂exercises in 20 figures for health and long-life＂（Wang Ziping） for 1 h twice per week, for 4 weeks. The control group undertook no exercise at all. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： The main outcome measure was the stabilometry values. These were obtained in a unipodal support test, using a plantar pressure platform with optical sensors. RESUlTS： The Qigong subjects showed a significant improvement in their stabilometry results （40.1% pre-intervention and 56.4% post-intervention）（P〈0.045）, while no improvement was seen in the control group （51.2% pre-intervention and 53.5% post-intervention）. At the beginning of the intervention, the stabilometry values recorded for the Qigong intervention group were worse than those recorded for the control group （40.15% and 51.21% respectively; P=0.121）. However, a comparison of the post-intervention values between these groups showed that these differences have disappeared （P=0.653）. CONClUSION： Qigong can improve balance in healthy, young women.

Simultaneous Determination of Four Estrogens in Compost Based on Ultrasonic Solvent Extraction, Solid-Phase Extraction Clean-Up and Analysis by UHPlC-MS/MS

A rapid, cost effective and reliable analytical method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of four estrogens (17 β-estradiol, 17 α-ethinylestradiol, estrone, and estriol) in compost samples from the biodegradation of biological infectious hazardous wastes. Ultrasonic solvent extraction, using methanol as extraction solvent, coupled with SPE clean-up, using cartridges HlB 60 mg - 6 ml Supelco® and acetonitrile for reconstitution of eluents, was used for the simultaneous extraction of the four estrogens. Mean recoveries in the range of 98% - 107% were obtained. All compounds were separated in a single gradient run by UHPlC KinetexTM 2.6 μm XB-C18 100 ÅlC (50 × 4.6 mm) column. Analytes were detected via multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) using an AB SCIEX API-5000TM triple quadrupole (Applied Biosystems/MDS SCIEX) with electrospray ionization in negative mode. Isocratic mobile phase of Water:ACN (50:50) resulted to be the optimum. limits of detection and quantification were on the order of 0.66 ng·g-1 and 2 ng·g-1 for all the estrogens. These limits were lower than most of the values reported in the literature for similar matrices. Suitable level of linearity, good repeatability and reproducibility with coefficients of variation is lower than 11.7%, 6.8% and 8.3%, respectively.

Arthropod communities and epiphytic plants associated with tree canopies have been widely studied and have revealed a great diversity of organisms; however,the community hosted by parasitic plants,such as dwarf mistletoes,remains poorly *** the coniferous forests of North America,dwarf mistletoe infection（Arceuthobium spp.） significantly damages the health of the forest,causing large financial losses for the forest industry,but it also positively affects diversity,especially of mammals and *** study examined the attributes of the arthropod communities associated with two species of dwarf mistletoe [Arceuthobium globosum Hawksw.＆ Wiens and ***（Humb.＆ *** Willd.） ***] and their host Pinus hartwegii *** 2010,in five sites located in Zoquiapan（Central Mexico）,we collected plant tissue from the three species *** were separated from the plant tissue and identified to the finest level *** collected 32,059 individuals,for which51 morphospecies were identified,belonging to 15 taxonomic orders; the most abundant orders for the three plants were Prostigmata,Thysanoptera and *** community associated with *** had the highest value of diversity（H＇= 1.47; ***,H＇= 0.64; ***,H＇= 0.68） and species richness（S = 40; ***,S = 30; ***,S = 35）; while abundance was significantly higher for the mistletoes（***,n = 407 individuals/sample; ***,n = 536 individuals/sample; ***,n = 134 individuals/sample）.Species richness,abundance and diversity were significantly different for the three studied plants,as well for sampling month and the interaction of these two factors（except for diversity）.The results suggest that the canopy of *** is an important element in the ecosystem,providing a mosaic of resources and conditions to the associated *** also propose that mistletoes are key species within the forest canopy,as they greatly influence the establishment of d
