Acute liver injury induced by weight-loss herbal supplements

We report three cases of patients with acute liver injury induced by weight-loss herbal supplements. One patient took Hydroxycut while the other two took Herbalife supplements. Liver biopsies for all patients dem onstrated f indings consistent with drug-induced acute liver injury. To our knowledge, we are the fi rst instit ute to report acute liver injury from both of these two typ es of weight-loss herbal supplements together as a case series. The series emphasizes the importance of taking a cautious approach when consuming herbal supp lements for the purpose of weight loss.

This study examined the feasibility of using the grey wolf optimizer(GWO)and artificial neural network(ANN)to predict the compressive strength(CS)of self-compacting concrete(SCC).The ANN-GWO model was created using 115 samples from different sources,taking into account nine key SCC *** validation of the proposed model was evaluated via six indices,including correlation coefficient(R),mean squared error,mean absolute error(MAE),IA,Slope,and mean absolute percentage *** addition,the importance of the parameters affecting the CS of SCC was investigated utilizing partial dependence *** results proved that the proposed ANN-GWO algorithm is a reliable predictor for SCC’s *** that,an examination of the parameters impacting the CS of SCC was provided.

3-dimension(3-D)printing technology is growing strongly with many applications,one of which is the garment *** application of human body models to the garment industry is necessary to respond to the increasing personalization demand and still guarantee *** paper proposes amethod to construct 3-D human models by applying deep *** calculate the location of the main slices of the human body,including the neck,chest,belly,buttocks,and the rings of the extremities,using pre-existing ***,on the positioning frame,we find the key points(fixed and unaltered)of these key slices and update these points tomatch the current *** add points to a star slice,we use a deep learning model tomimic the form of the human body at that slice *** use interpolation to produce sub-slices of different body sections based on the main slices to create complete body parts *** combine all slices to construct a full 3-D representation of the human body.

The consolidation coefficient of soil(C_(v))is a crucial parameter used for the design of structures leaned on soft *** general,the C_(v) is determined experimentally in the ***,the experimental tests are time-consuming as well as ***,researchers tried several ways to determine C_(v) via other simple soil *** this study,we developed a hybrid model of Random Forest coupling with a Relief algorithm(RF-RL)to predict the C_(v) of *** conduct this study,a database of soil parameters collected from a case study region in vietnam was used for *** performance of the proposed models was assessed via statistical indicators,namely Coefficient of determination(R^(2)),Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE),and Mean Absolute Error(MAE).The proposal models were constructed with four sets of soil variables,including 6,7,8,and 13 *** results revealed that all models performed well with a high performance(R^(2)>0.980).Although the RF-RL model with 13 variables has the highest prediction accuracy(R^(2)=0.9869),the difference compared with other models was negligible(i.e.,R^(2)=0.9824,0.9850,0.9825 for the cases with 6,7,8 inputs,respectively).Thus,it can be concluded that the hybrid model of RF-RL can be employed to predict C_(v) based on the basic soil parameters.

Background In viet Nam, tuberculosis (TB) represents a devastating life-event with an exorbitant price tag, partly due to lost income from daily directly observed therapy in public sector care. Thus, persons with TB may seek care in the private sector for its flexibility, convenience, and privacy. Our study aimed to measure income changes, costs and catastrophic cost incurrence among TB-affected households in the public and private *** Between October 2020 and March 2022, we conducted 110 longitudinal patient cost interviews, among 50 patients privately treated for TB and 60 TB patients treated by the National TB Program (NTP) in Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, viet Nam. Using a local adaptation of the WHO TB patient cost survey tool, participants were interviewed during the intensive phase, continuation phase and post-treatment. We compared income levels, direct and indirect treatment costs, catastrophic costs using Wilcoxon rank-sum and chi-squared tests and associated risk factors between the two cohorts using multivariate *** The pre-treatment median monthly household income was significantly higher in the private sector versus NTP cohort (USD 868 vs USD 578;P=0.010). However, private sector treatment was also significantly costlier (USD 2075 vs USD 1313;P=0.005), driven by direct medical costs which were 4.6 times higher than costs reported by NTP participants (USD 754 vs USD 164;Pvate: 55% vs NTP: 52%;P=0.675). In this study,we developed novel hybrid models namely Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS)optimized by Shuffled Complex Evolution(SCE)on the one hand and ANFIS with Artificial Bee Colony(ABC)on the other *** were used to predict compressive strength(Cs)of concrete relating to thirteen concrete-strength affecting parameters which are easy to determine in the *** and laboratory tests data of 108 structural elements of 18 concrete bridges of the Ha Long-van Don Expressway,vietnam were *** dataset was randomly divided into a 70:30 ratio,for training(70%)and testing(30%)of the hybrid *** of the developed fuzzy metaheuristic models was evaluated using standard statistical metrics:Correlation Coefficient(R),Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE).The results showed that both of the novel models depict close agreement between experimental and predicted ***,the ANFIS-ABC model reflected better convergence of the results and better performance compared to that of ANFIS-SCE in the prediction of the concrete ***,the ANFIS-ABC model can be used for the quick and accurate estimation of compressive strength of concrete based on easily determined parameters for the design of civil engineering structures including bridges.

本研究为一项随机、开放标签研究,研究对象为18~45岁的排卵期女性,受试者按照1:1:1的比例被随机分为自然周期组、改良自然周期组或人工周期组。由于研究干预措施的性质特殊,故本试验不设盲。自然周期组不使用雌激素、孕酮或人绒毛膜促性腺激素(hCG);改良自然周期组使用hCG来触发排卵;人工周期组使用口服戊酸雌二醇(从月经第2~4天开始,每天8mg)和阴道孕酮(从子宫内膜厚度≥7mm开始,每天800mg)。

One of the important geotechnical parameters required for designing of the civil engineering structure is the compressibility of the *** this study,the main purpose is to develop a novel hybrid Machine Learning(ML)model(ANFIS-DE),which used Differential Evolution(DE)algorithm to optimize the predictive capability of Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS),for estimating soil Compression coefficient(Cc)from other geotechnical parameters namelyWater Content,void Ratio,SpecificGravity,Liquid Limit,Plastic Limit,Clay content and Depth of Soil *** of the predictive capability of the novel model was carried out using statistical indices:Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),and Correlation Coefficient(R).In addition,two popular ML models namely Reduced Error Pruning Trees(REPTree)and Decision Stump(Dstump)were used for *** showed that the performance of the novel model ANFIS-DE is the best(R=0.825,MAE=0.064 and RMSE=0.094)in comparison to other models such as REPTree(R=0.7802,MAE=0.068 and RMSE=0.0988)andDstump(R=0.7325,MAE=0.0785 and RMSE=0.1036).Therefore,the ANFIS-DE model can be used as a promising tool for the correct and quick estimation of the soil Cc,which can be employed in the design and construction of civil engineering structures.

In the framework of the 3-3-1 model with neutral leptons,we investigate lepton-flavor-violating sources based on the Higgs mass spectrum,which has two neutral Higgs identified with the corresponding ones of the two-Higgs-doublet *** note that at the 13Tev scale of the LHC,the parameter space regions satisfy the experimental limits of e_(i)→e_(j)γ*** regions depend heavily on the mixing of exotic leptons but are predicted to have large h_(1)^(0)→μτ*** also show that Br(h_(1)^(0)→μτ)can reach a value of 10^(-4).
