Impact resistance performance and optimization of the sand-EPE composite cushion in rock sheds

Rock sheds are widely used to prevent rockfall disasters along roads in mountainous *** improve the capacity of rock sheds for resisting rockfall impact,a sand and expandable polyethylene(EPE)composite cushion was proposed.A series of model experiments of rockfall impact on rock sheds were conducted,and the buried depth of the EPE foam board in the sand layer was *** impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed were *** results show that the maximum impact load and dynamic response of the rock shed roof are all significantly less than those of the sand ***,as the distance between the EPE foam board and rock shed roof decreases,the maximum rockfall impact force and impact pressure gradually decrease,and the maximum displacement,acceleration and strain of the rock shed first decrease and then change *** addition,the vibration acceleration and vertical displacement of the rock shed roof decrease from the centre to the edge and decrease faster along the longitudinal direction than that along the transverse *** conclusion,the buffering effect of the sand-EPE composite cushion is better than that of the pure sand cushion,and the EPE foam board at a depth of 1.3 the thickness of the sand layer is appropriate.

Optical sensors with in-cell logic and memory capabilities offer new horizons in realizing machine vision beyond von Neumann architectures and have been attempted with two-dimensional materials,memristive oxides,phasechanging materials *** the unparalleled performance of superconductors with both quantum-limited optical sensitivities and ultra-wide spectrum coverage,here we report a superconducting memlogic long-wave infrared sensor based on the bistability in hysteretic superconductor-normal phase *** cooperatively by electrical and optical pulses,the device offers deterministic in-sensor switching between resistive and superconducting(hence dissipationless)states with persistence>1.5 *** results in a resilient reconfigurable memlogic system applicable for,e.g.,encrypted ***,a high infrared sensitivity at 1..2μm is achieved through its in-situ metamaterial perfect absorber *** work opens the avenue to realize all-in-one superconducting memlogic sensors,surpassing biological retina capabilities in both sensitivity and wavelength,and presents a groundbreaking opportunity to integrate visional perception capabilities into superconductor-based intelligent quantum machines.

The utilization of solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)presents a promising solution to the issues of safety concern and shuttle effect in Li–S batteries,which has garnered significant interest ***,the high interfacial impedances existing between the SSEs and the electrodes(both lithium anodes and sulfur cathodes)hinder the charge transfer and intensify the uneven deposition of lithium,which ultimately result in insufficient capacity utilization and poor cycling ***,the reduction of interfacial resistance between SSEs and electrodes is of paramount importance in the pursuit of efficacious solid-state *** this review,we focus on the experimental strategies employed to enhance the interfacial contact between SSEs and electrodes,and summarize recent progresses of their applications in solidstate Li–S ***,the challenges and perspectives of rational interfacial design in practical solid-state Li–S batteries are outlined as *** expect that this review will provide new insights into the further technique development and practical applications of solid-state lithium batteries.

Li-I_(2) batteries have attracted much interest due to their high capacity,exceptional rate performance,and low *** so,the problems of unstable Li anode/electrolyte interface and severe polyiodide shuttle in Li-I_(2) batteries need to be ***,the interfacial reactions on the Li anode and I_(2) cathode have been effectively optimized by employing a well-designed gel polymer electrolyte strengthened by cross-linked Ti-O/Si-O(GPETS).The interpenetrating network-reinforced GPETS with high ionic conductivity(1.88×1.^(-3)S cm^(-1.at 25℃)and high mechanical strength endows uniform Li deposition/stripping over 1.00 h(at 1.0mA cm^(-2),with a plating capacity of 3.0mAh cm^(-2)).Moreover,the GPETS abundant in surface hydroxyls is capable of capturing soluble polyiodides at the interface and accelerating their conversion kinetics,thus synergistically mitigating the shuttle *** from these properties,the use of GPETS results in a high capacity of 207 mAh g^(-1.(1.C)and an ultra-low fading rate of 0.01.%per cycle over 2000 cycles(5 C).The current study provides new insights into advanced electrolytes for Li-I_(2) batteries.

Fe-N-doped carbon materials(Fe-N-C)are promising candidates for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)relative to Pt-based catalysts in proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).However,the intrinsic contributions of Fe-N_(4)moiety with different chemical/spin states(e.g.D1.D2,D3)to ORR are unclear since various states coexist *** the present work,Fe-N-C core-shell nanocatalyst with single lowspin Fe(Ⅱ)-N_(4)species(D1.is synthesized and identified with ex-situ ultralow temperature Mossbauer spectroscopy(T=1.6 K)that could essentially differentiate various Fe-N_(4)states and invisible Fe-O *** quantifying with CO-pulse chemisorption,site density and turnover frequency of Fe-N-C catalysts reach 2.4×1.^(-9)site g^(-1.and 23 e site~(-1.s^(-1.during the ORR,***-wave potential(0.91.V_(RHE))of the Fe-N-C catalyst is more positive(approximately 54 mV)than that of Pt/***,we observe that the performance of PEMFCs on Fe-N-C almost achieves the 2025 target of the US Department of Energy by demonstrating a current density of 1.037 A cm^(-2)combined with the peak power density of 0,685 W cm^(-2),suggesting the critical role of Fe(Ⅱ)-N_(4)site(D1..After 500 h of running,PEMFCs still deliver a power density of 1.26 W cm^(-2)at 1.0 bar H_(2)-O_(2),An unexpected rate-determining step is figured out by isotopic labelling experiment and theoretical *** work not only offers valuable insights regarding the intrinsic contribution of Fe-N_(4)with a single spin state to alkaline/acidic ORR,but also provides great opportunities for developing high-performance stable PEMFCs.

A facile Tf OH-catalyzed oxidative cyclization of allyl compounds and isocyanide has been developed with the assistance of DDQ, where isocyanide is used as the crucial "N" and "CN" sources. Highly functionalized 2-cyanopyrroles are constructed efficiently through a new formal [3 + 2] mode, demonstrating diverse reactivity and synthetic utility in organic chemistry. 2-Cyanopyrrole is converted into a nucleobase analogue of Remdesivir and 5H-pyrrolo[2,1.a]isoindole through a three-step or a two-step sequence, respectively. This protocol features broad substrate scope, operational simplicity and good functional group tolerance.

Stylonema alsidii(Zandardini)Drew *** Zheng et Li is a common species in the genus Stylonema,but there are limited reports on morphological taxonomy and a lack of studies on life history and the regulation of early *** early development,discoid formation,and erect thallus growth of Stylonema alsidii *** were observed under laboratory *** addition,the influence of main environmental factors such as temperature and light intensity on its development was briefly studied,and various stages of its life history were *** result shows:(1.there are two reproductive modes:asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction;(2)the morphology of this species varies in different degrees under laboratory culture conditions;(3)sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction can coexist under suitable *** pathways of life history were inferred from experimental *** sporophytes form mature gametophytes by producing initially isolated or initially attached monospore,and mature gametophytes form mature sporophytes by fertilization of eggs and *** sexual and asexual reproduction processes of Stylonema alsidii *** were reported for the first time,and this is also the first report on sexual reproduction in the genus Stylonema.

Spectroscopy is the basic tool for studying molecular physics and realizing biochemical ***,it is challenging to realize sub-femtometer resolution spectroscopy over broad *** and high-resolution spectroscopy with calibrated optical frequency is demonstrated by bridging the fields of speckle pattern and electro-optic frequency comb.A wavemeter based on a whispering-gallery-mode barcode is proposed to link the frequencies of a probe continuous-wave laser and an ultrastable *** ultrafine electro-optic comb lines are generated from the probe laser to record spectrum of sample with sub-femtometer *** bandwidth is a thousandfold broader than comb bandwidth,by sequentially tuning the probe laser while its wavelength is *** approach fully exploits the advantages of two fields to realize 0.8-fm resolution with a fiber laser and 80-nm bandwidth with an external cavity diode *** spectroscopic measurements of an ultrahigh Q-factor cavity and gas molecular absorption are experimentally *** compact system,predominantly constituted by few-gigahertz electronics and telecommunication components,shows enormous potential for practical spectroscopic applications.

Water-soluble chitosan(WSC)has been studied for its ability to mobilize soil Pb and promote the phytoremediation by Hylotelephium spectabile in Pb-contaminated *** aimed to clarify the internal mechanism by which wSC impacts phytoremediation by examining plant growth and Pb accumulation performance of *** as well as the Pb form,functional groups,and mineral phases of Pb-contaminated *** effectively decreased soil pH and activated Pb migration in rhizosphere soils,with a considerable increase in water-soluble and acid-extractable Pb by 29%-1.2%and 9%-65%,respectively,and a clear decreasing trend in reducible and oxidizable ***-transform infrared spectroscopy revealed a significant increase in amino and hydroxyl groups in the soil generated by *** coordination of Pb with amino and hydroxyl groups may play an important role in the formation of Pb complexes and activation of Pb in *** field trials,the application of WSC significantly increased Pb accumulation in *** by 1.5.44%,reaching 92 g/hm^(2).Moreover,the organic matter and nitrogen in the soils were increased by WSc,which improved the growth conditions of *** obvious growth inhibition was observed in either the pot or field ***,WSC is a promising chelating agent for mobilizing Pb in ***,WSC can be potentially used to boost ***-mediated phytoremediation of Pb-contaminatedfarmland.
