BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is associated with high mortality rates.Bile acids(BAs)reflux is a well-known risk factor for GC,but the specific mechanism remains unclear.During GC development in both humans and animals,BAs serve as signaling molecules that induce metabolic reprogramming.This confers additional cancer phenotypes,including ferroptosis sensitivity.Ferroptosis is a novel mode of cell death characterized by lipid peroxidation that contributes universally to malignant progression.However,it is not fully defined if BAs can influence GC progression by modulating ferroptosis.AIM To reveal the mechanism of BAs regulation in ferroptosis of GC cells.METHODS In this study,we treated GC cells with various stimuli and evaluated the effect of BAs on the sensitivity to ferroptosis.We used gain and loss of function assays to examine the impacts of farnesoid X receptor(FXR)and BTB and CNC homology 1(BACH1)overexpression and knockdown to obtain further insights into the molecular mechanism involved.RESULTS Our data suggested that BAs could reverse erastin-induced ferroptosis in GC cells.This effect correlated with increased glutathione(GSH)concentrations,a reduced GSH to oxidized GSH ratio,and higher GSH peroxidase 4(GPX4)expression levels.Subsequently,we confirmed that BAs exerted these effects by activating FXR,which markedly increased the expression of GSH synthetase and GPX4.Notably,BACH1 was detected as an essential intermediate molecule in the promotion of GSH synthesis by BAs and FXR.Finally,our results suggested that FXR could significantly promote GC cell proliferation,which may be closely related to its anti-ferroptosis effect.CONCLUSION This study revealed for the first time that BAs could inhibit ferroptosis sensitivity through the FXR-BACH1-GSHGPX4 axis in GC cells.This work provided new insights into the mechanism associated with BA-mediated promotion of GC and may help identify potential therapeutic targets for GC patients with BAs reflux.

在“双碳”目标和长三角地区一体化高质量发展的要求下,如何发挥环境政策的协同效应,协同推进减污、降碳和经济高质量发展,对于促进经济社会发展全面绿色转型具有重要意义.以2006-2020年长三角地区41个地级市为研究对象,以大气污染物(包括SO_(2)、NOx、PM和VOCs)排放当量、CO_(2)排放量和经济高质量发展水平为被解释变量,以减污降碳政策力度为核心解释变量,通过固定效应和中介效应模型检验减污降碳政策对大气污染、碳排放和经济高质量发展的协同效应和作用机制.结果表明:①减污降碳政策具有三重协同效应,政策力度每提升1%,平均意义上可降低0.470%的大气污染物排放当量,降低0.292%的CO_(2)排放量,提升0.040%的经济高质量发展水平.②减污降碳政策的协同效应具有地区异质性,在核心城市组能够实现减污、降碳和经济高质量发展的三重协同效应,而在中心城市组仅具有污染减排效应,在外围城市组没有产生显著效应.③减污降碳政策主要通过减少能源消费、促进绿色技术创新实现减污、降碳和经济高质量发展.研究显示,应充分考虑地区差异性,针对各城市组制定相应对策措施,进一步发挥减污降碳政策的协同效应,以全面实现长三角地区减污、降碳和经济高质量协同发展.

Fast radio bursts(FRBs)are short pulses observed in radio frequencies usually originating from cosmological distances.The discovery of FRB 200428 and its X-ray counterpart from the Galactic magnetar SGR J1935+2154suggests that at least some FRBs can be generated by magnetars.However,the majority of X-ray bursts from magnetars are not associated with radio emission.The fact that only in rare cases can an FRB be generated raises the question regarding the special triggering mechanism of FRBs.Here we report long time spin evolution of SGR J1935+2154 until the end of 2022.According to v and v,the spin evolution of SGR J1935+2154 could be divided into two stages.The first stage evolves relatively steady evolution until 2020 April 27.After the burst activity in2020,the spin of SGR J1935+2154 shows strong variations,especially for v.After the burst activity in 2022October,a new spin-down glitch with△v/v=(-7.2±0.6)×10^(-6)is detected around MJD 59876,which is the second event in SGR J1935+2154.At the end,spin frequency and pulse profile do not show variations around the time of FRB 200428 and radio bursts 221014 and 221021,which supply strong clues to constrain the trigger mechanism of FRBs or radio bursts.

●AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of early lens extraction during pars plana vitrectomy(PPV)for proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)compared to those of PPV with subsequent cataract surgery.●METHODS:This multicenter randomized controlled trial was conducted in three Chinese hospitals on patients with PDR,aged>45y,with mild cataracts.The participants were randomly assigned to the combined(PPV combined with simultaneously cataract surgery,i.e.,phacovitrectomy)or subsequent(PPV with subsequent cataract surgery 6mo later)group and followed up for 12mo.The primary outcome was the change in best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA)from baseline to 6mo,and the secondary outcomes included complication rates and medical expenses.●RESULTS:In total,129 patients with PDR were recruited and equally randomized(66 and 63 in the combined and subsequent groups respectively).The change in BCVA in the combined group[mean,36.90 letters;95%confidence interval(CI),30.35–43.45]was significantly better(adjusted difference,16.43;95%CI,8.77–24.08;P<0.001)than in the subsequent group(mean,22.40 letters;95%CI,15.55–29.24)6mo after the PPV,with no significant difference between the two groups at 12mo.The overall surgical risk of two sequential surgeries was significantly higher than that of the combined surgery for neovascular glaucoma(17.65%vs 3.77%,P=0.005).No significant differences were found in the photocoagulation spots,surgical time,and economic expenses between two groups.In the subsequent group,the duration of work incapacity(22.54±9.11d)was significantly longer(P<0.001)than that of the combined group(12.44±6.48d).●CONCLUSION:PDR patients aged over 45y with mild cataract can also benefit from early lens extraction during PPV with gratifying effectiveness,safety and convenience,compared to sequential surgeries.

车辆轨迹预测是自动驾驶的关键技术之一,针对以往模型较少考虑城市道路场景中车辆以外多类交通参与者的问题,本研究提出了一种多类交通参与者的多模态车辆轨迹预测模型。该模型使用门控循环单元对历史轨迹信息进行编码,并利用注意力机制将多类交通参与者的特征映射到用图结构表达的驾驶场景中,通过图注意力网络进行环境特征提取,从而使模型能感知环境中的多类交通参与者。此外,模型通过节点轨迹预测与坐标轨迹预测模块输出最终的多模态轨迹预测结果。基于城市道路场景数据集nuScenes的实验结果表明:相较于同类现有模型,所提出的模型算力需求更低、预测更准确,且能适用于人车混合的城市道路驾驶场景。

Decades of investigation on DNA methylation have led to deeper insights into its metabolic mechanisms and biological functions.This understanding was fueled by the recent development of genome editing tools and our improved capacity for analyzing the global DNA methylome in mammalian cells.This review focuses on the maintenance of DNA methylation patterns during mitotic cell division.We discuss the latest discoveries of the mechanisms for the inheritance of DNA methylation as a stable epigenetic memory.We also highlight recent evidence showing the rapid turnover of DNA methylation as a dynamic gene regulatory mechanism.A body of work has shown that altered DNA methylomes are common features in aging and disease.We discuss the potential links between methylation maintenance mechanisms and diseaseassociated methylation changes.

从对51位中国新闻传播院系任教教师关于“第三人效果”知晓、认知与评价的访谈为窗口,管窥作为场域的“中国新闻传播学界”是如何从“知识”的层次想象“效果研究”。整体来看,中国新闻传播学人认为“第三人效果”在“效果研究”内部处于“重要且次要”的位置。通过“学术经历”与“了解程度”两个层次的“分类—比较”可以看到:具有实证研究经历的“实证组”总体上对“第三人效果”的知晓度较高,且评价更为趋同,即认为它“重要且次要”;没有相关经历的“参照组”在评价上存在更显著的差异,他们更倾向于从整体上想象“效果研究”之于整个学科知识体系的地位与意义。

Cryogenian and Ediacaran integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas

The complex evolutionary history of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,including the continental blocks(Indian,Lhasa,South Qiangtang,Tarim,Olongbuluk,Central Qilian,Alxa,North China,Yangtze,Central Iran and Oman)and the orogenic belts between them,has long been the frontier in Earth science research.The Cryogenian and Ediacaran strata are extensively distributed in these blocks.Specifically,relatively complete Cryogenian and Ediacaran successions have been discovered in Oman,Indian,Yangtze,and Tarim blocks,while only the Ediacaran successions have been reported in Iran,the South Qiangtang,Central Qilian,Alxa,and North China blocks.Based on previous studies together with the integration of new materials and advancement obtained through the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research,this review aims to synthesize a correlative stratigraphic framework of the representative Cryogenian and Ediacaran sequences from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.Furthermore,the Cryogenian and Ediacaran biotas and major geological events in these areas are comprehensively discussed in aspects of current research status.The results indicate that,in general,Ediacaran fossils of each area exhibit distinct features in preservation and assemblage composition,but the typical late Ediacaran fossils Cloudina and Shaanxilithes have been reported from most of these areas.In addition to the two global Cryogenian glaciations,late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits are extensively recorded in the areas within and around the northern QinghaiTibetan Plateau(including the North China,Alxa,Central Qilian,Olongbuluk,and Tarim blocks,and the North Qilian Accretionary Belt),as well as central and southern Iran.However,further research is required to determine the age,distribution,and origin of these late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits.Meanwhile,the middle Ediacaran DOUNCE/Shuram Excursion is widely documented in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.The available data show that,after the

Cells need to appropriately balance transcriptional stability and adaptability in order to maintain their identities while responding robustly to various stimuli. Eukaryotic cells use an elegant "epigenetic" system to achieve this functionality. "Epigenetics" is referred to as heritable information beyond the DNA sequence, including histone and DNA modifications, nc RNAs and other chromatin-related components. Here, we review the mechanisms of the epigenetic inheritance of a repressive chromatin state,with an emphasis on recent progress in the field. We emphasize that(i) epigenetic information is inherited in a relatively stable but imprecise fashion;(ii) multiple cis and trans factors are involved in the maintenance of epigenetic information during mitosis; and(iii) the maintenance of a repressive epigenetic state requires both recruitment and self-reinforcement mechanisms.These mechanisms crosstalk with each other and form interconnected feedback loops to shape a stable epigenetic system while maintaining certain degrees of flexibility.
