The effect of rare earth （RE） on bainite trans- formation mechanism is not yet unified in the academia. Therefore, further studying the effect of RE on bainite transformation mechanism will have important guiding significance for the development of bainite steels. In this paper, using differential dilatometer （DIL805A/D）, heat treatment was performed and C-curve was drawn. The effect of phase structure factor on bainite transformation under two different fractions of RE in Si-Mn-Mo bainite steels was investigated by the empirical electron theory （EET） of solids, molecules, dilatometry, and metallogra- phy. Experimental results show that RE makes Fe-C- RE segregation structural unit of Si-Mn-Mo bainite steels increase, i.e., the values of phase structure factor （na, FDC） increase, and delay bainite transformation due to the drag effect resulting from the segregation of RE ferrite island interphase and the retardation of RE to carbon diffusion in Si-Mn-Mo bainite steels. Beside this, C-curve is shifted to right and down, and microstructures of bainite ferrite and substructures are finer.

A New Approach to Urban Rainwater Management

Based on an analysis of our research results and the main problems relating to urban rainwater treatment, we propose a new approach to urban rainwater management in China. The necessity and feasibility of such a new approach are discussed. From an ecological point of view all components of the global system, including residents living in cities, have the same right to enjoy rainwater. Therefore, urban rainwater should neither be simply drained as waste water, nor be completely harvested as a kind of resource. The objective of this new approach is to maintain the natural hydrological cycle in urban areas during urbanization. When necessary, it could also be used to regulate the amount of runoff, evaporation and infiltration in a city in order to rehabilitate the hydrological cycle given the local conditions. Three basic principles should be adopted in rainwater management, i.e., separation of rainfall from sewage, limited utilization and small and decentralized facilities. Four methods can be used for urban rainwater management: rainwater harvest, rainwater infiltration, rainwater storage and rainwater pipes. The natural hydrological cycle in urban areas could be rehabilitated through rainwater management, which is of great importance for sustainable development of our cities.

A dynamic data updating algorithm for image superesolution is proposed. On the basis of Delaunay triangulation and its local updating property, this algorithm can update the changed region directly under the circumstances that only a part of the source images has been changed. For its high efficiency and adaptability, this algorithm can serve as a fast algorithm for image superesolution reconstruction.

Graphene oxide(GO) channels exhibit unique mass transport behaviors due to their flexibility, controllable thinness and extraordinary physicochemical properties, enabling them to be widely used for adsorption and membrane separation. Nevertheless, the adsorption behavior of nanosized contaminants within the channels of GO membrane has not been fully discussed. In this study, we fabricated a GO membrane(PGn, where n represents the deposition cycles of GO) with multi channels via the crosslinking of GO and multibranched poly(ethyleneimine)(PEI). Phenol was used as molecular probe to determine the correlations between dynamic adsorption behavior and structural parameters of the multilevel GO/PEI membrane. PG8 shows higher adsorption capacities and affinity, which is predominantly attributed to the multichannel structure providing a large specific surface for phenol adsorption, enhancing the accessibility of active sites for phenol molecules and the transport of phenol. Density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the adsorption mechanism of phenol within GO channel is energetically oriented by hydrogen bonds, which is dominated by oxygen-containing groups compared to amino groups. Particularly, the interfaces which facilitate strong π-π interaction and hydrogen bonds maybe the most active regions. Moreover, the as-prepared PG8 membrane showed outstanding performance for other contaminants such as methyl orange and Cr(VI). It is anticipated that this study will have implications for design of GO-related environmental materials with enhanced efficiency.

AIM： To study the anti-hepatoma efficiency of arsenic trioxide （As2O3） in the treatment of experimental rat hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） induced by 2-acetamidofluorene （2-FAA） and to elucidate the possible mechanisms. METHODS： SD rats （2 mo old） had been fed with 2-FAA for 8 wk to induce HCC, and then they were treated with As2O3 or matrine. On d 29, the rats were killed and the liver was weighed and liver tumors were counted. The histological changes of liver tissue were observed under microscope, and the cellular dynamic parameters were studied by flow cytometry. Immunohistochemistry （two-step method） was used to observe the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） and micro-vessel density （MVD） on consecutive sections. The pathological parameters were also analyzed, the levels of serum aspartate aminotransferase （AST）, alanine aminotransferase （ALT）, total bilirubin （TBi）, and direct bilirubin （DBi）. RESULTS： The number of liver tumors decreased significantly in groups treated with As2O3, especially in medium-dose （1 mg/kg） group （t = 2.80, P〈0.01）. As2O3 caused HCC cell death via apoptosis; necrosis was seen and apoptosis was common when the dose was 1 mg/kg. Proliferation index decreased sharply in medium-dose （1 mg/kg） group （7.87±4.11 vs24.46±6.49, t= 2087, P〈0.01）, but not in 0.2 mg/kg group. However, S-phase fraction decreased dramatically in both groups, it reached the bottom level only when the dose was i mg/kg compared with control （0.40±0.13 vs3.01±0.51, t= 2.97, P〈0.01）, and it was obviously accompanied with accumulation of cells in G0/G1 （G0/G1 restriction）. The expressions of VEGF and MVD in medium-dose （1 mg/kg） group were significantly lower than normal saline group （0.63±0.74 vs2.44±0.88, P〈0.05; 15.75±3.99 vs47.44±13.41, t= 2.80, P〈0.01）. Compared with normal saline group, mediumand low-dose groups As203 and matrine lowered the levels of ALT in serum （61.46±9.46, 63.75±20.40, 61.18±13.00 vs 108.98±29.86, t= 2.14, P〈0.05）, but

We consider a binary dipolar Bose–Einstein condensate confined in a rotating harmonic plus quartic potential *** ground-state vortex structures are numerically obtained as a function of the contact interactions and the dipole–dipole interaction in both slow and rapid rotation cases. The results show that the vortex configurations depend strongly on the strength of the contact interactions, the relative strength between dipolar and contact interactions, as well as on the orientation of the dipoles. A variety of exotic ground-state vortex structures, such as pentagonal and hexagon vortex lattice,square vortex lattice with a central vortex, annular vortex lines, and straight vortex lines, are observed by turning such controllable parameters. Our results deepen the understanding of effects of dipole–dipole interaction on the topological defects.

Recycling industrial solid waste not only saves resources but also eliminates environmental concerns of toxic ***,we proposed a new strategy for the utilization of petrochemical-derived carbon black waste,a waste vanadium-bearing resource(V>30000 ppm(10−6)).Chemical leaching was employed to extract metallic vanadium from the waste and the leachate containing V was used as an alternative raw material for the fabrication of vanadate *** the screening of various metal cations,it was found that the contaminated Na^(+)during the leaching process showed strong competitive coordination with the vanadium ***,by adding foreign Ce^(3+)and Y^(3+)cations,two rare-earth vanadates,viz.,flower-like CeVO_(4)and spherical YVO_(4)nanomaterials,were successfully *** techniques such as scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Fourier-transform infrared,and N2 physisorption were applied to analyze the physicochemical properties of the waste-derived ***,we found that rare-earth vanadate catalysts exhibited good activities toward the semi-hydrogenation ofα,β-unsaturated *** conversion of cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic alcohol selectivity were even higher than those of the common CeVO_(4)prepared using pure chemicals(67.2%vs.27.7%and 88.4%vs.53.5%).Our work provides a valuable new reference for preparing vanadate catalysts by the use of abundant vanadium-bearing waste resources.

Liver is the most common site of metastases of colorectal cancer,and liver metastases present with distinct histopathological growth patterns(HGPs),including desmoplastic,pushing and replacement HGPs and two rare *** is a miniature of tumor-host reaction and reflects tumor biology and pathological features as well as host immune *** studies have revealed the association of HGPs with carcinogenesis,angiogenesis,and clinical outcomes and indicates HGP functions as bond between microscopic characteristics and clinical *** findings make HGP a candidate marker in risk stratification and guiding treatment decision-making,and a target of imaging observation for patient *** note,it is crucial to determine the underlying mechanism shaping HGP,for instance,immune infiltration and extracellular matrix remodeling in desmoplastic HGP,and aggressive characteristics and special vascularization in replacement HGP(rHGP).We highlight the importance of aggressive features,vascularization,host immune and organ structure in formation of HGP,hence propose a novel"advance under camouflage"hypothesis to explain the formation of rHGP.

In this paper, we consider a nonlinear hybrid dynamic （NHD） system to describe fedbatch culture where there is no analytical solutions and no equilibrium points. Our goal is to prove the strong stability with respect to initial state for the NHD system. To this end, we construct corresponding linear variational system （LVS） for the solution of the NHD system, also prove the boundedness of fundamental matrix solutions for the LVS. On this basis, the strong stability is proved by such boundedness.
