Natural fractures are critical for shale oil and gas enrichment and development. Due to the extremely high heterogeneity of shale, the factors controlling the formation of internal fractures, especially horizontal fractures, remain controversial. In this study, we integrate thin section analysis and microcomputed tomography(CT) data from several lacustrine shale samples from the third member(Es3) of the Shahejie Formation, Qikou Sag, Bohai Bay Basin, to assess the fractures in detail. The goal is to reveal the development characteristics, controlling factors, and geological significance for evaluating sweet spots in a shale oil play. The fractures in the Es3contain high-angle structural and horizontal bed-parallel fractures that are mostly shear and extensional. Various factors influence fracture development,including lithofacies, mineral composition, organic matter content, and the number of laminae. Structural fractures occur predominantly in siltstone, whereas bed-parallel fractures are abundant in laminated shale and layered mudstone. A higher quartz content results in higher shale brittleness, causing fractures, whereas the transformation between clay minerals contributes to the development of bedparallel fractures. Excess pore pressure due to hydrocarbon generation and expulsion during thermal advance can cause the formation of bed-parallel fractures. The density of the bed-parallel and structural fractures increases with the lamina density, and the bed-parallel fractures are more sensitive to the number of laminae. The fractures are critical storage spaces and flow conduits and are indicative of sweet spots. The laminated shale in the Es3with a high organic matter content contains natural fractures and is an organic-rich, liquid-rich, self-sourced shale play. Conversely, the siltstone, massive mudstone, and argillaceous carbonate lithofacies contain lower amounts of organic matter and do not have bed-parallel fractures. A series of Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+)co-doped Ca_(2)Ta_(2)O_(7)(CTO:Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+))phosphors were prepared by high-temperature solid-state method for dual-emission center optical thermometers and white light-emitting diode(WLED)*** modulating the doping ratio of Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+)and utilizing the energy transfer from Bi^(3+)to Eu^(3+),the tunable color emission ranging from green to reddish-orange was *** designed CTO:0.04Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+)optical thermometers exhibit signifcant thermochromism,superior stability,and repeatability,with maximum sensitivities of Sa=0.055 K^(−1)(at 510 K)and Sr=1.298%K^(−1)(at 480 K)within the temperature range of 300−510 K,owing to the diferent thermal quenching behaviors between Bi^(3+)and Eu^(3+)*** features indicate the potential application prospects of the prepared samples in visualized thermometer or hightemperature safety ***,leveraging the excellent zero-thermal-quenching performance,outstanding acid/alkali resistance,and color stability of CTO:0.04Bi^(3+)/0.16Eu^(3+)phosphor,a WLED device with a high Ra value of 95.3 has been realized through its combination with commercially available blue and green phosphors,thereby demonstrating the potential application of CTO:0.04Bi^(3+)/0.16Eu^(3+)in near-UV pumped WLED devices.

Onlineγ-spectrometry systems for inland waters,most of which extract samples in situ and in real time,are able to produce reliable activity concentration measurements for waterborne radionuclides only when they are distributed relatively uniformly and enter into a steady-state diffusion regime in the measurement *** protect residents’health and ensure the safety of the living environment,better timeliness is required for this measurement *** address this issue,this study established a mathematical model of the online waterγ-spectrometry system so that rapid warning and activity estimates can be obtained for water under non-steady-state(NSS)*** addition,the detection efficiency of the detector for radionuclides during the NSS diffusion process was determined by applying the computational fluid dynamics technique in conjunction with Monte Carlo *** this basis,a method was developed that allowed the online waterγ-spectrometry system to provide rapid warning and activity concentration estimates for radionuclides in *** analysis of the NSS-mode measurements of^(40)K radioactive solutions with different activity concentrations determined the optimum warning threshold and measurement time for producing accurate activity concentration estimates for *** experimental results show that the proposed NSS measurement method is able to give warning and yield accurate activity concentration estimates for radionuclides 55.42 and 69.42 min after the entry of a 10 Bq/L^(40)K radioactive solution into the measurement chamber,*** times are much shorter than the 90 min required by the conventional measurement ***,the NSS measurement method allows the measurement system to give rapid(within approximately 15 min)warning when the activity concentrations of some radionuclides reach their respective limits stipulated in the Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality of the WHO,suggesting that this method con

Lyotropic liquid crystals have lubricating properties due to their ordered assembly and fluidity,whose mesogens are often characterized by amphiphilic *** the attention that graphene oxide(GO)has been studied as a novel amphiphilic lyotropic mesogen this decade,and GO applied as a lubrication additive has been demonstrated in both oil and water-based systems,little research reveals the interfacial lubrication of GO liquid crystals *** work reports that GO aqueous dispersion can form lyotropic liquid crystals above a specific critical concentration of 5.00 mg/mL,providing a form of stable water-based lubricant,which can keep stable for several months and can reduce friction by 37.3%and wear by 25.24%.The liquid crystal phase was verified by polarizing microscope and synchrotron radiation small-angle X-ray scattering,and its rheological properties and viscoelasticity were studied by interfacial *** formation of lyotropic liquid crystals can enhance the stability of GO aqueous dispersions at high density,simultaneously ensuring friction decrease and anti-wear *** is attributed to the stable nematic network by the ordered GO *** ordered assembly structure bears vertical shear force,therefore,reducing the *** is also assumed that the wide lateral size of graphene oxide promotes the nematic phase thus smoothes the graphene oxide film composed spontaneously under the coincidence of lamellar liquid crystal and 2D layered *** this work,the interlayer lubrication of GO was optimized,and the problem of GO dispersion sedimentation was solved by *** range of interfacial lubrication of GO aqueous dispersion has been expanded and the synergistic effect is conducive to the environmentally friendly lubricants.

A set of novel red phosphors Li_(8)CaLa_(2)Ta_(2)O_(13):Eu^(3+)(LCLTO:xEu^(3+))were successfully prepared using a solid-state reaction *** properties of the prepared samples,including phase purity,elemental composition,and morphology,were systematically investigated using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy *** 610 nm maximum emission peak is attributed to the^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2)transition of Eu^(3+)ion under 394 nm *** all the LCLTO:xEu^(3+)phosphors,LCLTO:0.6Eu^(3+)showed the strongest emission intensity because of the concentration quenching effect of the electric dipole-dipole in-teraction among the Eu^(3+)ions,which was also demonstrated by the decay ***,the emission intensity of the optimal LCLTO:0.6Eu^(3+)phosphor,which exhibited a high internal quantum efficiency of 49.30%and excellent color purity of 96.79%,was approximately 2.29 times higher than that of commercial Y203:Eu^(3+)red *** thermal stability of the LCLTO:0.6Eu^(3+)sample with good color stability was meticulously *** fabricated white-light-emitting diode(WLED)exhibited a superior color-rendering index of Ra=82 and chromaticity coordinates of(0.3260,0.3639),suggesting that LCLTO:0.6Eu^(3+)has potential applicability in developing efficient and high-quality ***,the prepared LCLTO:0.6Eu^(3+)/PDMS composite film demonstrated exceptional flexural resistance and chemical stability,indicating considerable promise for practical anti-counterfeitingapplications.

Pervious concrete is a special type of concrete that is of high porosity and contains no or a small amount of fine aggregate,and it is an important basic material for sponge city *** presence of a large number of connected pores inside pervious concrete leads to a marked difference in durability failure mechanism compared with that of ordinary *** this study,the frost resistance and anti-clogging of pervious concrete were introduced in detail,and the methods to improve their performance were summarized *** cracking pattern of pervious concrete is influenced by geometric characteristics and three-dimensional morphological features of pores,resulting in its crack generation,development,and geometry being significantly different from those of ordinary concrete,thus leading to different freeze-thaw cycle *** addition,due to its different pore structure compared to ordinary concrete,three types of clogging mechanisms,affecting the long-term permeability of pervious concrete were elaborated systematically(i.e.,physical clogging,biological clogging,and chemical clogging).And the ways to improve the anti-clogging of pervious concrete are systematically presented from multiple ***,in order to broaden the engineering applications of pervious concrete,some research proposals are presented in this study.
