Meteorological measurements of the Meteor Crater Experiment(METCRAX) were used to analyze the characteristics of the thermally-induced flows over an enclosed crater(Arizona, USA). Despite its relatively small size, this crater acts as an effective wind shelter. Daytime upslope winds and nocturnal downslope flows are regularly observed on its west/east sidewalls. The times of diurnal wind-direction shift(i.e., around sunrise and sunset) were slightly mismatched between the sites based on the east and west sidewalls, owing to the crater's shadowing effects. Under conditions of relatively weak synoptic forcing, the nocturnal downslope flows prevail throughout the night, despite quite a low wind velocity near the surface. ?

SiO2 microspheres were prepared via a novel co-precipitation process.The Na + ions were introduced by adding sodium chloride and metal sodium in solution systems for improving surface charge of the SiO2 microspheres.And then SiO2 photonic crystals were fabricated by the vertical deposition method.The electrical properties,micromorphology and optical properties were characterized by zeta potential instrument,scanning electron microscope (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Uv-Vis-Nir spectrophotometer.Zeta potential of the SiO2 microspheres modified by sodium chloride and metal sodium were averagely heightened 11.39 mV and 13.52 mV respectively in ethanol solution.EDS spectra showed that there was Na element in the SiO2 microspheres.SEM images showed that the average size of the SiO2 microspheres modified by sodium chloride and metal sodium were 380 nm and 354 nm respectively,larger than that of the unmodified ones,and their distribution standard deviation was less than 5%,and the sample of SiO2 photonic crystals was face-centered cubic structure with their (111) planes parallel to the substrate.In addition,absorption spectra showed that photonic band gap of the SiO2 photonic crystals was modified by sodium chloride and metal sodium located in 856 nm and 798 nm respectively.Meanwhile,their absorption peaks became narrower and higher and exhibited a red-shift phenomenon.

Laser‐induced fluorescence excitation spectra of NiO have been recorded in the wavelength region of 510–650 nm under supersonic molecular beam conditions. More than fifty bands have been observed and rotationally analyzed to determine the molecular constants. The excited states exhibit highly irregular variations in terms of isotopic shifts, vibrational intervals, and rotational constants. Twenty‐six bands attributed to [Ω=0, 1]−X3Σ0− transitions have been tentatively grouped into five vibrational progressions. Furthermore, dispersed fluorescence and lifetimes of the strong bands have also been measured.

Thin artificial solid electrolyte coatings are effective to enhance the electrochemical performances and safety issues of lithium (Li) metal anode.However,massive and efficient fabrication of artificial protection layers on Li metal anode surface remains challenging.Herein,we describe a sandwiched Li metal anode fabricated through a continuous roll to roll calendering method to implant a thin and large-area carbon layer on Li metal anode surface at room temperature.Specifically,a carbon layer (~ 3 μm in thickness) can be entirely grafted from Cu substrate to 50 pm Li belt surface due to the stickiness of metallic Li.The carbon layer not only plays a critical role in providing rich nucleation sites for Li plating,but more importantly diminishes the metallurgical nonuniformity effects (slip lines) on stripping.Therefore,even Li plating/stripping morphologies are achieved and the as-obtained sandwiched Li/C composite anodes exhibit improved cycling stability both in Li | LiFePO4 and Li | S coin cells and pouch cells.This continuous roll to roll calendering strategy opens a new avenue for grafting various thin artificial protection layers on Li metal surface for safe rechargeable batteries.

We report the first detection of the effect of Na-Na spin exchange collisions on spin relaxation of optically pumped Na in Xe gas by studying the relaxation in the'dark"of the variablein a mixture of dense sodium vapor(number density[Na]~10^(13 )cm^(-3)),and buffer gas helium,xenon and nitrogen as a function of[Na]and xenon pressure.

The laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectrum of jet-cooled NiS molecule has been recorded in the energy range of 15500–17200 cm−1. Fifteen bands have been assigned as three transition progressions: [15.65]3∏1(v'' = 0–4)-X3Σ0−(v'' = 0), [15.69]3Σ0−(v'' = 0–4)-X3Σ0−(v'' = 0), and [15.81]3∏1(v'' = 0–4)-X3Σ0−(v'' = 0). Spectroscopic constants for the three newly identified electronically excited states have been determined for the first time. In addition, the lifetimes for most observed vibronic bands have also been measured.

The allure of high efficiency and low-temperature solution-processed organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells(PSCs)are inspiring scientists to seek for its commercialization.Interface passivation engineering has become an effective way to further enhance the efficiency and stability of PSCs by defect passivation,reduces the charge recombination and ion migration initiation and hysteresis control,etc.Herein,we have summarized the effects and recent research progress of interface passivation engineering in PSCs.Interface passivation layers can be realized by using the solution and/or vacuum evaporation processes which are very adaptable to varied materials with different properties and fabrication processes for enhanced photovoltaic performance and stability.

A novel disulphide derivatised deuteroporphyrin 2,7,12,18-tetramethyl-13,17-（propionylaminoethyldithioethyl amino-formy-lethyl） -29,34-bis-（methoxyformyl）porphyrin（PDTEP,3） and its cobalt（Ⅱ） complex（Co（II）PDTEP,4） were conveniently synthesized. The disulphide functional group of 4 allowed its stable immobilization on gold electrodes.The modified electrode was characterized by IR and confirmed electrochemically and showed good stability and catalytic activity toward the electro-catalyzed reduction of hydrogen peroxide.

The multiple PDZ domain crumbs cell polarity complex component gene(MPDZ;MIM:603785),is highly expressed in the brain across the whole lifespan.It encodes the multiple PDZ domain protein,which is a member of the NMDAR signaling complex that may play a role in the control of AMPAR potentiation and synaptic plasticity in excitatory synapses."Previously,MPDZ variants have been demonstrated to be associated with autosomal recessive congenital hydrocephalus-2(HYC2;MIM:615219)which is commonly complicated by brain abnormalities and developmental delay.Seizures were reported in only one case.The association between MPDz and epilepsy requires clarification.

Endoscopic vein harvesting （EVH） for coronary artery bypass grafting （CABG） has gained increasing acceptance as a less invasive alternative to conventional open vein harvesting. With this procedure, carbon dioxide （CO2） is insufflated to create a subcutaneous tunnel to facilitate the harvest of the great saphenous vein. The technique seems to be safe because there are no adverse hemodynamic consequences or systemic CO2 absorption during EVH. We report a case of massive right heart gas embolism which occurred during a routine EVH performance of the saphenous vein. Techniques for early diagnosis of this rare but life-threatening complications, transesophageal echocardiography （TEE） is a sensitive tool in detecting CO2 embolism [except end-tided CO2 （ETCO2）] and pulmonary arterial pressure （PAP） monitoring. The rapid recovery of CO2 embolism in the patient who underwent EVH with CO2 insufflation and CABG surgery was due to immediate and accurate diagnosis and prompt treatment.
