The corrosion behavior of 316H stainless steel(SS)in the impure and purified Na Cl–KCl–Mg Cl_(2) salt was investigated at700°*** indicate that the main deleterious impurity induced corrosion in the impure salt was the absorbed moisture,present in the form of Mg Cl_(2)·6H_(2)O.316H SS occurred severe intergranular corrosion with a corrosion depth of 130μm for1000 h in the impure Na Cl–KCl–Mg Cl_(2) *** contrast,the purification treatment of molten chloride salt by the dissolved Mg metal can remove the absorbed moisture,and the corresponding reactions were also *** a result,the corrosiveness of Na Cl–KCl–Mg Cl_(2) salt is reduced significantly.316H SS occurred slight uniform corrosion with a depth of less than 5μm for 3000 h in the purified Na Cl–KCl–Mg Cl_(2) salt.

The conversion of waste polylactic acid(PLA)plastics into high-value-added chemicals through electrochemical methods is a promising and sustainable ***,developing efficient and highly selective catalysts for lactic acid oxidation reaction(LAOR)and understanding the reaction process are ***,we report the electrooxidation of waste PLA to acetate at a high current density of 100 mA cm-2 with high Faraday efficiency(~95%)and excellent stability(>100 h)over a nickel selenide nanosheet *** addition,a total Faraday efficiency of up to 190%was achieved for carboxylic acids,including acetic acid and formic acid,by coupling with the cathodic CO_(2) reduction *** situ experimental results and theoretical simulations revealed that the catalytic activity center of LAOR was dynamically formed NiOOH species,and the surface-adsorbed SeO_(x) species accelerated the formation of Ni~(3+)species,thus promoting catalytic *** mechanism of lactic acid electrooxidation was further *** acid was dehydrogenated to produce pyruvate first and then formed CH_3CO due to preferential C-C bond cleavage,resulting in the presence of *** work demonstrated a sustainable method for recycling waste PLA and CO_(2) into high-value-added products.

Recent years have witnessed a paradigm shift with the advent of perovskites,a class of materials with a distinct CaTiO_(3)-type crystalline structure that show remarkable promise across a wide array of applications,including photovoltaics,photodetectors,lighting,lasers,and so *** them,the development of two-dimensional(2D)perovskites has garnered significant attention due to their tunable structures(mainly Dion-Jacobson and Ruddlesden-Popper structures)and enhanced stability in comparison with their 3D counterparts[1].Amidst the burgeoning research on perovskites,on the other side,all-organic perovskites stand out as a particularly intriguing subset[2].Unlike traditional perovskites that typically comprise all-inorganic(e.g.,CsPbBr_(3))or organic-inorganic hybrid components(e.g.,(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)),all-organic perovskites are composed entirely of carbon-or nitrogen-based molecules.

The digital twin is the concept of transcending reality,which is the reverse feedback from the real physical space to the virtual digital *** hold great prospects for this emerging *** order to realize the upgrading of the digital twin industrial chain,it is urgent to introduce more modalities,such as vision,haptics,hearing and smell,into the virtual digital space,which assists physical entities and virtual objects in creating a closer ***,perceptual understanding and object recognition have become an urgent hot topic in the digital *** surface material classification schemes often achieve recognition through machine learning or deep learning in a single modality,ignoring the complementarity between multiple *** order to overcome this dilemma,we propose a multimodal fusion network in our article that combines two modalities,visual and haptic,for surface material *** the one hand,the network makes full use of the potential correlations between multiple modalities to deeply mine the modal semantics and complete the data *** the other hand,the network is extensible and can be used as a universal architecture to include more *** show that the constructed multimodal fusion network can achieve 99.42%classification accuracy while reducing complexity.

Influence of Film Thickness on Nanofabrication of Graphene Oxide

Nanofabrication of two-dimensional materials through mechanical machining is normally influenced by not only process parameters such as load and velocity but also intrinsic properties such as strength and ***,we examined the effects of graphene oxide(GO)film thickness on nanofabrication on the plane surfaces and at the step edges using scanning probe microscope *** material removal of GO initiates at the load above a critical value,which strongly depends on film thickness and *** the increase in film thickness,the critical load decreases monotonically on the plane surfaces but increases gradually at the step ***,the critical load for the GO monolayer at the step edges is at least 25 times lower than that on the plane surfaces,and the gap decreases to around 3 times when GO thickness increases to four ***,mechanical nanofabrication initiating from the GO step edge allows producing various nanopatterns under extremely low loads around 1 ***,the GO nanostructures are deoxidized by annealing at 800°C in high-purity argon to restore their highly functionalized conjugated structures,which are supported by X-ray diffraction and Raman *** work provides a novel approach to fabricating graphene-like nanostructures by deoxidizing GO after nanofabrication,which holds significant potential for applications in graphene-based devices.

Effects of physical crust on soil detachment by overland flow in the Loess Plateau region of China

Physical soil crust(PSC),a key component of surface soil structure,exists extensively in loess *** is considered to have a significant effect on soil detachment ***,the long-term effects and the corresponding mechanisms of PSC on soil detachment by overland flow are still not well understood,especially in natural *** investigate temporal variation in soil erosion resistance and the underlying factors during PSC formation,an 8×8-m soil plot was exposed to natural conditions in the Loess Plateau over a 524-day period spanning two rainy seasons and a winter between them.A flume test was conducted to determine soil detachment capacity(Dc)under six designed flow shear stress levels(5.66-22.11 Pa)using crusted(SC)and non-crusted(NSC)soil samples at different PSC development ***,two soil erosion resistance parameters,rill erodibility(K_(r))and critical shear stress(τ_(c)),were *** time,in the SC and NSC treatments,K_(r)decreased from 0.516 to 0.120 s m^(-1)and 0.521 to 0.223 s m^(-1),respectively,whileτ_(c)increased from 0.49 to 4.42 Pa and 0.26-2.46 Pa,*** in soil erosion resistance was rapid in the first one to two months,and then slowed down,with slight fluctuations *** the SC treatment,K_(r)was 42%lower andτ_(c)was 67%greater than those in the NSC *** properties changed greatly for both *** increased from 0 to 7.09 mm in the SC *** increased from 2.91 to 9.04 kPa and 3.01-4.78 kPa in SC and NSC treatments,*** soil erosion resistance parameters could be well predicted by SCT and Coh in the SC treatment(R^(2)≥0.82),while their best predictor was Coh in the NSC treatment(R^(2)≥0.90).The results demonstrate that PSC formation enhances soil erosion resistance in the soil detachment process in the loess region under natural *** study revealed the important role and complexity of PSC in the process of soil erosion,and provided theor

Two novel phosphors LiBa_(4(1-x))Eu_(4x)Ta_(3)O_(12)(H-LBTO:xEu^(3+)) and Li_(0.25)Ba_(1-x)Eu_(x)Ta_(0.75)O_(3)(C-LBTO:xEu^(3+))were prepared successfully by a molten salt *** transformation between these two structures was realized by changing the sintering temperature or changing the Eu^(3+) ions concentration,which was also demonstrated by the X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS),and photoluminescence excitation(PLE) analyses,Both the sintering temperature and the Eu^(3+)ions doping concentration have significant impact on the formation of the crystal *** these phosphors sintered at 1023 K exhibit two major luminescence lines at 594 and 614 nm under nearUV light of 395 nm excitation,corresponding to Eu^(3+)ions typical transitions of ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1) and ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2).The optimum concentration of Eu^(3+) ions is 9 mol% for C-LBTO:xEu^(3+) samples and the quenching interaction type is the nearest-neighbor ion *** thermal stability of the C-LBTO:0.09Eu^(3+)sample was investigated in detail and the device application further suggests that C-LBTO:0.09Eu^(3+) can be used as a red phosphor for near-UV excited w-LEDs in lighting.

In response to the increasing penetration of volatile and uncertain renewable energy,the regional transmission organizations(RTOs)have been recently focusing on enhancing the models of pump storage hydropower(PSH)plants,which are one of the key flexibility assets in the day-ahead(DA)and real-time(RT)markets,to further boost their flexibility provision *** by the recent research works that explored the potential benefits of excluding PSHs’cost-related terms from the objective functions of the DA market clearing model,this paper completes a rolling RT market scheme that is compatible with the DA ***,with the vision that PSHs could be permitted to submit state-of-charge(SOC)headrooms in the DA market and to release them in the RT market,this paper uncovers that PSHs could increase the total revenues from the two markets by optimizing their SOC headrooms,assisted by the proposed tri-level optimal SOC headroom ***,in the proposed tri-level model,the middle and lower levels respectively mimic the DA and RT scheduling processes of PSHs,and the upper level determines the optimal headrooms to be submitted to the RTO for maximizing the total revenue from the two *** case studies quantify the profitability of the optimal SOC headroom submissions as well as the associated financial risks.
