Surface repair of wide-bandgap perovskites for high-performance all-perovskite tandem solar cells

Wide-bandgap(WBG)perovskite solar cells(PSCs)play a fundamental role in perovskite-based tandem solar ***,the efficiency of WBG PSCs is limited by significant open-circuit voltage losses,which are primarily caused by surface *** this study,we present a novel method for modifying surfaces using the multifunctional S-ethylisothiourea hydrobromide(SEBr),which can passivate both Pb^(-1)and FA^(-1)terminated surfaces,Moreover,the SEBr upshifted the Fermi level at the perovskite interface,thereby promoting carrier *** proposed method was effective for both 1.67 and 1.77 eV WBG PSCs,achieving power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of 22.47%and 19.90%,respectively,with V_(OC)values of 1.28 and 1.33 V,along with improved film and device *** this advancement,we were able to fabricate monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells with a champion PCE of 27.10%,This research offers valuable insights for passivating the surface trap states of WBG perovskite through rational multifunctional molecular engineering.

Smart Behavior of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Cement-based Composite

The electrical characteristics of cement-based material can be remarkably improved by the addition of short carbon fibers. Carbon fiber reinforced cement composite (CFRC) is an intrinsically smart material that can sense not only the stress and strain, but also the temperature. In this paper, variations of electrical resistivity with external applied load, and relation of thermoelectric force and temperature were investigated. Test results indicated that the electrical signal is related to the increase in the material volume resistivity during crack generation or propagation and the decrease in the resistivity during crack closure. Moreover, it was found that the fiber addition increased the linearity and reversibility of the Seebeck effect in the cement-based materials. The change of electrical characteristics reflects large amount of information of inner damage and temperature differential of composite, which can be used for stress-strain or thermal self-monitoring by embedding it in the concrete structures.

CD87-targeted BiT E and CAR-T cells potently inhibit invasive nonfunctional pituitary adenomas

Recently, bispecific T-cell engagers(BiTEs) and chimeric antigen receptor-modified T cells(CAR-Ts) have been shown to have high therapeutic efficacy in hematological tumors. CD87 is highly expressed in solid tumors with an oncogenic function. To assess their cytotoxic effects on invasive nonfunctioning pituitary adenomas(iNFPAs), we first examined CD87 expression and its effects on the metabolism of iNFPA cells. We generated CD87-specific BiTE and CAR/IL-12 T cells, and their cytotoxic effects on iNFPAs cells and in mouse models were determined. CD87 had high expression in i NFPA tissue and cell samples but was undetected in noncancerous brain samples. CD87×CD3BiTE and CD87 CAR/IL-12 T-cells showed antigenic specificity and exerted satisfactory cytotoxic effects, decreasing tumor cell proliferation in vitro and reducing existing tumors in experimental mice. Overall, the above findings suggest that CD87 is a promising target for the immunotherapeutic management of iNFPAs using anti-CD87 BiTE and CD87-specific CAR/IL-12 T cells.

By accurately measuring composition and energy spectrum of cosmic ray,the origin problem of so called“knee”region(energy>one PeV)can be ***,up to the present,the results of the spectrum in the knee region obtained by several previous experiments have shown obvious differences,so they cannot give effective evidence for judging the theoretical models on the origin of the ***,the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO)has reported several major breakthroughs and important results in astro-particle physics *** on its advantages of wide-sky survey,high altitude location and large area detector arrays,the research content of LHAASO experiment mainly includes ultra high-energy gamma-ray astronomy,measurement of cosmic ray spectra in the knee region,searching for dark matter and new phenomena of particle physics at higher *** electron and thermal neutron detector(EN-Detector)is a new scintillator detector which applies thermal neutron detection technology to measure cosmic ray extensive air shower(EAS).This technology is an extension of *** EN-Detector Array(ENDA)can highly efficiently measure thermal neutrons generated by secondary hadrons so called“skeleton”of *** this paper,we perform the optimization of ENDA configuration,and obtain expectations on the ENDA results,including thermal neutron distribution,trigger efficiency and capability of cosmic ray composition *** obtained real data results are consistent with those by the Monte Carlo simulation.

Geological Environment Problems Caused by Controlling Groundwater Exploitation in Jiangyin City

Geological environment effects caused by the control of groundwater exploitation in Jiangyin city are discussed thoroughly, including the dynamic variation of groundwater levels and quality and the development of land sub-sidence and ground fissures. According to the dynamic characteristics of groundwater levels, some advice about groundwater exploitation is offered. Our research will provide a basis for using groundwater resources and the preven- tion of geological disasters in Jiangyin city and the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou area. The following results are deduced from our research. First, groundwater levels vary with the exploitation of groundwater in Jiangyin city and are affected by hydrogeological conditions. The groundwater levels remained rather stable before and after the implementation of control of groundwater exploitation in the northwest of Jiangyin city along the Yangtze River. A suitable level of exploitation should be allowed. In the southeast, the speed of recovery of the groundwater level has been rather rapid after the control of exploitation. We conclude that groundwater might be exploited locally after the groundwater level has recovered. In the southwest, the speed of recovery of the groundwater level is rather slow and exploitation of ground-water should be prohibited. Second, groundwater quality is stable in Jiangyin city and the contents of the main chemical indices of groundwater varied only slightly before and after the control of exploitation. Third, after controlling the exploitation, the speed of land subsidence has clearly slowed down and the development of ground fissures has been controlled effectively.

Impact of baseline hepatitis B virus viral load on the long-term prognosis of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma treated with immunotherapy

Localization and potential function of androgen receptor in rat salivary gland

Aim： To investigate the localization and quantity of androgen receptor （AR） in the salivary glands of rats with further analysis on the effect of castration. Methods： Sixty male Wistar rats, aged 30-60 days, were randomly divided into three groups （castrated, sham-operated and normal controls） with 20 rats in each group. The rats in the castrated group were castrated and the submaxillary glands were removed after 1 week. The salivary glands of the rats in the sham-operated and the normal control groups were also removed. Parts of the salivary glands were fixed for immuohistochemistry and in situ hybridization assays. Other parts were used for Western blot. Results： AR immunoreactivity in the three groups was localized in the glandular epithelial cells of the serous acinus and the glandular duct of the salivary gland, mainly in the nuclei. AR mRNA hybridization signals in the salivary glands of the castrated group were mainly distributed in the epithelial cells of the convoluted and secretary ducts; AR mRNA in the sham-operated and the normal control groups were found in the epithelial cells of the convoluted, the secretary and the excretory ducts. The quantity of AR in the salivary glands was decreased significantly in the castrated rats compared with the sham-operated and the normal controls. Moreover, epidermal growth factor （EGF） secreted by the salivary glands was also decreased in the castrated rats. Conclusion： Castration appears to affect the production of AR in the salivary gland and the distribution of the AR mRNA and could further affect the function of the salivary gland. The changes of AR and the distribution of AR mRNA may play an important role in the interactions between the testes and the salivary gland. （Asian J Androl 2005 Sep; 7： 295-301）

A Study of Pt^(4+)Adsorption and Its Reduction by Bacillus Megaterium D01

The properties of Pt 4+ adsorption and its reduction by Bacillus megaterium D01 were studied by means of ICP, anode stripping voltammetry, TEM, IR and XPS. The results of ICP analyses showed that the Pt 4+ adsorptive efficiency of the strain D01 was as high as 94.3% under the conditions of 100 mg Pt 4+ /L, 1 g biomass/L, pH 3.5 and at 30 ℃ for 24 h. Moreover, it was confirmed from anode stripping voltammetry that the strain D01 possessed a strong reducibility. The TEM analysis indicated that the strain D01 was able to adsorb and reduce Pt 4+ to Pt 0, small particles. The XPS result further supported the reduction of Pt 4+ to Pt 2+ , followed by the further recuction to Pt 0. The IR spectrum implied that D01 biomass adsorption of Pt 4+ may result in the complexation of the CO bond to the Pt species.
