In this paper, it is shown that for low-order uncertain systems, there is no need to calculate all the minimum and maximum values of the coefficients for a perturbed system which is expressed in terms of polynomials and hence no need to formulate and test all the four Kharitonov＇s polynomials. Furthermore, for higher-order systems such as n ≥ 5, the usual four Kharitonov＇s polynomials need not be tested initially for sufficient condition of perturbed systems; rather, the necessary condition can be checked before going for sufficient condition. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method, numerical examples are shown and computational efficiency is highlighted.

With cameras becoming ubiquitous in smartphones, it has become a very common trend to capture and share moments with friends and family in social media. Arguably, the 2 most relevant factors that contribute to the popularity are: the user’s social aspect and the content of the image (image quality, objects in the image etc.). In recent years, due to various security concerns, it has been increasingly difficult to derive social attributes from social media. Due to this limitation, in this paper we study what make images popular in social media based on the image content alone. We use Bayesian learning approach with variable likelihood function in order to predict image popularity. Our finding shows that a mapping between image content to image popularity can be achieved with a significant recall and precision. We then use our model to predict images that are likely to be more popular from a set of user images which eventually facilitate easy share.

Urban and Rural HIV Estimates among Adult Population (15 - 49 Years) in selected states of India Using spectrum Data

HIV estimation has become a standard tool for understanding the epidemic. Although the majority of India’s population lives in rural areas, to date, an exploration of the urban and rural HIV epidemic has not been undertaken. The objective of this study is to develop HIV estimation based on urban and rural adult populations in selected states of India to understand the difference in HIV related indices geographically. Ten states were selected based on HIV prevalence levels-Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, and Nagaland, Mizoram, Punjab, Odisha and Jharkhand. spectrum, version 4.53 beta 19, was used. Data files of Indian national estimation, 2010-11 which included population, HIV sentinel surveillance, Integrated Bio Behavioral Assessment and program coverage data, were used and alterations made wherever necessary. The urban and rural sub epidemic structures and their subpopulations were separately configured in the Estimation projection package and curve fitting done. Outputs for each state were separately analyzed. Findings show that HIV prevalence is lower in urban than rural areas in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra;in Karnataka there is no difference in HIV prevalence in the urban and rural populations;and in the remaining seven states urban HIV prevalence is higher as compared to rural HIV prevalence. In the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha and Punjab, the number of people living with HIV, new HIV infections and deaths among people living with HIV is higher in the rural than in the urban population. An early and lower peak in HIV prevalence and incidence in the urban population was seen in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Naga-land, while in Maharashtra the rural peak was earlier and higher. Mizoram shows an earlier and lower peak in the rural population while Manipur shows an earlier and higher urban peak. Frozen soils or those with permafrost cover large areas of the earth's surface and support unique vegetative ecosystems. Plants growing in such harsh conditions have adapted to small niches, which allow them to survive. In northern Alaska, UsA, both moist acidic and non-acidic tundra occur, yet determination of frozen soil p Hs currently requires thawing of the soil so that electrometric pH methods can be utilized. Contrariwise, a portable X-ray fluorescence(PXRF) spectrometer was used in this study to assess elemental abundances and relate those characteristics to soil pH through predictive multiple linear regressions. Two operational modes, soil Mode and Geochem Mode, were utilized to scan frozen soils in-situ and under laboratory conditions, respectively, after soil samples were dried and ground. Results showed that lab scanning produced optimal results with adjusted coefficient of determination(R^2) of 0.88 and 0.33 and root mean squared errors(RMsEs) of 0.87 and 0.34 between elemental data and lab-determined pH for soil Mode and Geochem Mode, respectively. Even though the presence of ice attenuated fluoresced radiation under field conditions, adjusted R^2 and RMsEs between the datasets still provided reasonable model generalization(e.g., 0.73 and 0.49 for field Geochem Mode). Principal component analysis qualitatively separated multiple sampling sites based on elemental data provided by PXRF, reflecting differences in the chemical composition of the soils studied. summarily, PXRF can be used for in-situ determination of soil pH in arctic environments without the need for sample modification and thawing. Furthermore, use of PXRF for determination of soil pH may provide higher sample throughput than traditional eletrometric-based methods, while generating elemental data useful for the prediction of multiple soil parameters.

We present the semileptonic decay of Bc meson in a QCD potential model with the coulombic part of the Cornell potential -4αs/3r+br+c as perturbation. Computing the slope and curvature of Isgur Wise function in this approach, we study the pseudoscalar and vector form factors for the transition of Bc meson to its s wave charmonium states. Numerical estimates of widths for the transitions of Bc→J|ψ(ηc)lv1 are presented.

随着我国高铁建设的快速发展,出现了许多因为高铁电缆温度过高等因素导致的安全问题。为了解决相关问题,文中根据成都地区独特的地形和排线走势,考虑到实际需求、工程实施等多方面条件,设计了离线式存储高铁电缆温度检测系统。通过单片机核心模块IAP15W4K61s4、实时时钟模块Ds1302、温度传感器模块Ds18B20和文件管理模块CH376搭建温度检测系统,将采集的温度值实时存入存储设备U盘中。相对于目前电缆温度检测系统的研究,该文着重强调系统在数据处理上的创新之处,提出了一整套格式化的数据存储方式,包括文件的格式化创建、数据的格式化转换和数据的格式化写入等,从而大幅度提升了系统的实际可用性和检测人员的工作效率,并在文末结合当前大数据分析为电缆温度检测的相关研究提供了一个新的方向。

An Overview of Entada phaseoloides： Current Research and Future Prospects

In recent times, focus on plant research and herbal products has increased tremendously in the western world as well as in developed and developing countries. Entada phaseoloides, a well-known creeper widely used therapeutically in the orient and has become increasingly popular as an important medicinal plant. Many studies have been carried out on this medicinal plant and have generated immense data about the morphology, chemical composition, corresponding to biological activity of extracts and isolated secondary metabolites. Biological studies and traditional clinical practice demonstrated that Entada phaseoloides and its bioactive compounds possess various pharmacological properties. The plant has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, antiarthritis, antidiabetic, antioxidant, cytotoxic, antimicrobial and molluscidal agent. The present review summarizes current knowledge on morphology, major bioactive(s) constituents and its chemistry, reported medicinal properties, pharmacological actions, folklore uses and the possibility of interactions of the herb with the conventional drugs. Despite this, further investigations are required to explore Entada phaseoloides and to evaluate the different biological activities of either its extracts or the isolated compounds with probable modes of action.

Overtone spectra of porphyrins and its substituted forms: an algebraic approach

We introduce an algebraic model to vibrations of polyatomic Bio-molecules and present, as an example, the vibrational analysis of Cm-H, Cm-C, Cm-D, Cb-Cb, pyrrol breathing and Cb-C, stretching modes of Metalloporphyrins and its substituted forms. The excited energy levels of Cb-C, pyrrol breathing stretching modes of Ni(OEP) and Ni(OEP)-d4 are calculated by using U(2) algebraic mode Hamiltonian. The higher excited energy levels of Cm-H, Cm-C, Cm-D and Cb-Cb vibrational modes of Porphyrin and its substituted forms are predicted upto second overtone. It shows that the energy levels are clustering at the higher overtones. The results obtained by this method are accuracy with experimental data.
