Yangyin Huowei mixture alleviates chronic atrophic gastritis by inhibiting the IL-10/JAK1/STAT3 pathway

BACKGROUND The Chinese medicine Yangyin Huowei mixture(YYHWM)exhibits good clinical efficacy in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG),but the mechanisms underlying its activity remain *** To investigate the therapeutic effects of YYHWM and its underlying mechanisms in a CAG rat *** Sprague-Dawley rats were allocated into control,model,vitacoenzyme,and low,medium,and high-dose YYHWM *** was induced in rats using Nmethyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine,ranitidine hydrochloride,hunger and satiety perturbation,and ethanol *** an 8-wk intervention period,stomach samples were taken,stained,and examined for histopathological *** was utilized to quantify serum levels of PG-I,PG-II,G-17,IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α.Western blot analysis was performed to evaluate protein expression of IL-10,JAK1,and *** The model group showed gastric mucosal layer disruption and inflammatory cell *** with the blank control group,serum levels of PGI,PGII,and G-17 in the model group were significantly reduced(82.41±3.53 vs 38.52±1.71,23.06±0.96 vs 11.06±0.70,and 493.09±12.17 vs 225.52±17.44,P<0.01 for all),whereas those of IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-αwere significantly increased(30.15±3.07 vs 80.98±4.47,69.05±12.72 vs 110.85±6.68,and 209.24±11.62 vs 313.37±36.77,P<0.01 for all),and the protein levels of IL-10,JAK1,and STAT3 were higher in gastric mucosal tissues(0.47±0.10 vs 1.11±0.09,0.49±0.05 vs 0.99±0.07,and 0.24±0.05 vs 1.04±0.14,P<0.01 for all).Compared with the model group,high-dose YYHWM treatment significantly improved the gastric mucosal tissue damage,increased the levels of PGI,PGII,and G-17(38.52±1.71 vs 50.41±3.53,11.06±0.70 vs 15.33±1.24,and 225.52±17.44 vs 329.22±29.11,P<0.01 for all),decreased the levels of IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α(80.98±4.47 vs 61.56±4.02,110.85±6.68 vs 89.20±8.48,and 313.37±36.77 vs 267.30±9.31,P<0.01 for all),and evidently decreased the protein levels of IL-10 and STAT3 in gastric mucosal tissues(1

Protein arginine methyltransferase-6 regulates heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein-F expression and is a potential target for the treatment of neuropathic pain

Protein arginine methyltransferase-6 participates in a range of biological functions,particularly RNA processing,transcription,chromatin remodeling,and endosomal ***,it remains unclear whether protein arginine methyl transferase-6 modifies neuropathic pain and,if so,what the mechanisms of this *** this study,protein arginine methyltransferase-6 expression levels and its effect on neuropathic pain were investigated in the spared nerve injury model,chronic constriction injury model and bone cancer pain model,using immunohistochemistry,western blotting,immunoprecipitation,and label-free proteomic *** results showed that protein arginine methyltransferase-6 mostly co-localized withβ-tubulinⅢin the dorsal root ganglion,and that its expression decreased following spared nerve injury,chronic constriction injury and bone cancer *** addition,PRMT6 knockout(Prmt6~(-/-))mice exhibited pain ***,the development of spared nerve injury-induced hypersensitivity to mechanical pain was attenuated by blocking the decrease in protein arginine methyltransferase-6 ***,when protein arginine methyltransferase-6 expression was downregulated in the dorsal root ganglion in mice without spared nerve injury,increased levels of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinases were observed in the ipsilateral dorsal horn,and the response to mechanical stimuli was ***,protein arginine methyltransferase-6 appeared to contribute to spared nerve injury-induced neuropathic pain by regulating the expression of heterogeneous nuclear ***,protein arginine methyltransfe rase-6-mediated modulation of hete rogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein-F expression required amino atids 319 to 388,but not classical H3R2 *** findings indicated that protein arginine methyltransferase-6 is a potential therapeutic target fo r the treatment of peripheral neuro pathic pain.

Inserting corrosion inhibitors into a lamellar protective coating is an effective way to improve the corrosion resistance of metal *** this work,two kinds of environmentally friendly organic acid anions,aspartic acid(ASP)and lauric acid(La),were explored as corrosion inhibitors to in situ intercalate into the Zn Al-layered double hydroxides(Zn Al-LDHs)on AZ31 magnesium alloys by a facile one-step hydrothermal *** morphology,composition,structure and the corrosion resistance of these two LDHs coating before and after corrosion experiment were *** is found that both the two kinds of Zn Al-LDHs films consist of uniform and dense layered nanosheets(NSs),and the NSs of ZnAl-ASP-LDHs films grow vertically,but those of ZnAl-La-LDHs films exhibit a staggered tilted *** corrosion current density of the two Zn Al-LDHs films are two orders of magnitude lower than that of Mg alloy *** one week’s immersion in NaCl solution,the NSs structure of two kind of ZnAl-LDHs films still remains the uniform and densely coverage on Mg *** to the larger d(003)spacing,the ZnAl-La-LDHs have better ability to absorb Cl-and release interlayer anions than Zn *** results indicate that the Zn Al-LDHs films intercalated with organic anions,specially La anions,can significantly improve the corrosion resistance of Mg alloy.

Simulation-optimization model of reservoir operation based on target storage curves

This paper proposes a new storage allocation rule based on target storage curves. Joint operating rules are also proposed to solve the operation problems of a multi-reservoir system with joint demands and water transfer-supply projects. The joint operating rules include a water diversion rule to determine the amount of diverted water in a period, a hedging rule based on an aggregated reservoir to determine the total release from the system, and a storage allocation rule to specify the release from each reservoir. A simulation-optimization model was established to optimize the key points of the water diversion curves, the hedging rule curves, and the target storage curves using the improved particle swarm optimization （IPSO） algorithm. The multi-reservoir water supply system located in Liaoning Province, China, including a water transfer-supply project, was employed as a case study to verify the effectiveness of the proposed join operating rules and target storage curves. The results indicate that the proposed operating rules are suitable for the complex system. The storage allocation rule based on target storage curves shows an improved performance with regard to system storage distribution.

Techniques for Determining the Geographic Location of IP Addresses in ISP Topology Measurement

A brief survey on the state-of-the-art research of determining geographic location of IP addresses is presented. The problem of determining the geographic location of routers in Internet Service Provider （ISP） topology measurement is discussed when there is inadequate information such as domain names that could be used. Nine empirical inference rules are provided, and they are respectively （1） rule of mutual inference, （2） rule of locality, （3） rule of ping-pong assignment, （4） rule of bounding from both sides, （5） rule of preferential exit deny, （6） rule of uureachable/timeout, （7） rule of relay hop assignment, （8） rule of following majority, and （9） rule of validity checking based on interface-finding. In totally 2,563 discovered router interfaces of a national ISP topology, only 6.4% of them can be located by their corresponding domain names. In contrast, after exercising these nine empirical inference rules, 38% of them have been located. Two methods have mainly been employed to evaluate the effectiveness of these inference rules. One is to compare the measured topology graph with the graph published by the corresponding ISP. The other is to contact the administrator of the corresponding ISP for the verification of IP address locations of some key routers. The conformity between the locations inferred by the rules and those determined by domain names as well as those determined by whois information is also examined. Experimental results show that these empirical inference rules play an important role in determining the geographic location of routers in ISP topology measurement.

3D Rigid-Plastic Finite Element Analysis for Skew Rolling Process of the Stepped Part

Based on rigid-plastic finite element method, a skew rolling process of stepped part is simulated. Considering nodesaving and effective remeshing, the tetrahedron solid elements are used to discrete workpiece. The workpiece material adopts rigid-plastic model, where the flow stress is function of effective strain, effective strain rate and *** thermomechanical coupling is considered in the simulation. To model the spinning workpiece undergoing plastic deformation, a novel solution is presented and applied in this paper. The stress state in the workpiece and forming characteristic of skew rolling are analyzed. The forming load, including roller torque and forces in three directions are predicted. The above analyses are helpful to understanding of forming mechanisms and improving of process and die design.
