We studied formaldehyde emission from uncoated particleboard with 16-mm thickness using the large chamber and the desiccator method. A chamber of 28.4 m3 was installed to simulate a mobile home. The formaldehyde off-gassing properties of particleboard were evaluated using the chamber. The relationship between the concentration obtained by the chamber and the values by the desiccator test was discussed in this study under different conditions of conditioning day, air exchange, and loading ratio. These two methods were compared and discussed regarding the formaldehyde emission level. Three loading ratios, 0.429 m2/m3, 0.264 m2/m3, and 0.132 m2/m3, were chosen to represent different applications of particleboard products. There was strong correlation between emissions and air exchange rates at equal product-loading ratios in the large chamber, the related coefficient R 2 exceeded 0.90. There was also an indication of a generic correlation between the large chamber and the two-hour desiccator test with a single product designated loading ratio, air exchange rate, and climatic conditions.

The static recrystallization behavior of low-alloy steel Q345B during double-pass hot compression deformation tests was investigated in the temperature range of 900-1000 ℃,the true strain range of 0.15-0.25 and the interpass time range of 0.5-50 s on Gleeble-3500 thermo-simulation *** results show that static recrystallization during the interpass time is *** the deformation temperature and strain increase,softening caused by static recrystallization is *** to the analysis and calculation of thermo-simulation data,the static recrystallization activation energy was obtained and static recrystallization kinetics model was ***,the error analysis of static recrystallization kinetics model proved that the model had good ***,this model provides a theoretical basis for static recrystallization（SRX）and will contribute to the development of multipass hot rolling process,in order to control the rolling process more accurately.

Fabrication of flame retardants from renewable biomass has aroused extensive interest over the past *** work reported a synthesis of isosorbide-derived polyphosphonate(PICPP)as an anti-flammable agent for poly(lactic acid)(PLA).The presence of PICPP notably declined the storage modulus of PLA/PICPP owing to the declined molecular weight of PLA catalyzed by the presence of *** and PLA/PICPP thermally degraded in one stage under either air or nitrogen *** increasing the amount of PICPP,the onset thermal decomposition temperature of PLA/PICPP was decreased gradually,owing to the earlier decomposition of *** only 10 wt%of PICPP,PLA/PICPP-10 achieved a high limiting oxygen index of 30.0%and UL-94 V-0 classification,manifesting that PICPP was an efficient anti-flammable agent for *** inclusion of 15 wt%PICPP also caused 33%and 16%decline in PHRR and THR of PLA,***-IR results clarified that PLA/PICPP produced the less typical pyrolysis products especially flammable carbonyls than PLA,which may account for the suppressed PHRR and THR values of PLA/PICPP.

Pulmonary and cerebral lipiodol embolism after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) of hepatocellular carcinoma is rare. To our knowledge, only 7 cases have been reported in the literature. We present a case of pulmonary and cerebral lipiodol embolism, and analyzed retrospectively the imaging and clinical data of the patient and conclude the most probable mechanism of pulmonary and cerebral lipiodol embolism, which is different from that of the cases reported previously.

Owing to the merits of low cost,high safety and environmental benignity,rechargeable aqueous Zn-based batteries(ZBs)have gained tremendous attention in recent ***,the poor reversibility of Zn anodes that originates from dendrite growth,surface passivation and corrosion,severely hinders the further development of *** tackle these issues,here we report a Janus separator based on a Zn-ion conductive metal-organic framework(MOF)and reduced graphene oxide(rGO),which is able to regulate uniform Zn2+flux and electron conduction simultaneously during battery *** by the MOF/rGO bifunctional interlayers,the Zn anodes demonstrate stable plating/stripping behavior(over 500 h at 1 mA cm^(−2)),high Coulombic efficiency(99.2%at 2 mA cm^(−2) after 100 cycles)and reduced redox ***,it is also found that the Zn corrosion can be effectively retarded through diminishing the potential discrepancy on Zn *** a separator engineering also saliently promotes the overall performance of Zn|MnO2 full cells,which deliver nearly 100%capacity retention after 2000 cycles at 4 A g^(−1) and high power density over 10 kW kg^(−1).This work provides a feasible route to the high-performance Zn anodes for ZBs.

Electronic skins can monitor minute physiological signal variations in the human skins and represent the body’s state,showing an emerging trend for alternative medical diagnostics and human-machine *** this study,we designed a bioinspired directional moisture-wicking electronic skin(DMWES)based on the construction of heterogeneous fibrous membranes and the conductive MXene/CNTs electrospraying *** moisture transfer was successfully realized by surface energy gradient and push-pull effect via the design of distinct hydrophobic-hydrophilic difference,which can spontaneously absorb sweat from the *** DMWES membrane showed excellent comprehensive pressure sensing performance,high sensitivity(maximum sensitivity of 548.09 kPa^(−1)),wide linear range,rapid response and recovery *** addition,the single-electrode triboelectric nanogenerator based on the DMWES can deliver a high areal power density of 21.6μW m^(−2) and good cycling stability in high pressure energy ***,the superior pressure sensing and triboelectric performance enabled the DMWES for all-range healthcare sensing,including accurate pulse monitoring,voice recognition,and gait *** work will help to boost the development of the next-generation breathable electronic skins in the applications of AI,human-machine interaction,and soft robots.

Aqueous foam is broadly applicable to enhanced oil recovery(EOR).The rheology of foam as a function of foam quality,gas and liquid velocities,and surfactant concentration constitute the foundation of its *** great variations of the above factors can affect the effectiveness of N2 foam in EOR continuously in complex formations,which is rarely involved in previous relevant *** paper presents an experimental study of foam flow in porous media by injecting pre-generated N2 foam into a sand pack under the conditions of considering a wide range of gas and liquid velocities and surfactant *** results show that in a wide range of gas and liquid velocities,the pressure gradient contours are L-shaped near the coordinate axes,but V-shaped in other *** the surfactant concentration is a strong factor influencing the trend of pressure gradient *** flow resistance is very sensitive to the surfactant concentration in both the high-and low-foam quality regime,especially when the surfactant concentration is less than *** foam quality is an important variable to the flow resistance *** exists a transition point from low-to high-quality regime in a particular flow system,where has the maximum flow resistance,the corresponding foam quality is called transition foam quality,which increases as the surfactant concentration *** results can add to our knowledge base of foam rheology in porous media,and can provide a strong basis for the field application of foams.
