TransDFL:Identification of Disordered Flexible Linkers in Proteins by Transfer Learning

Disordered flexible linkers(DFLs)are the functional disordered regions in proteins,which are the sub-regions of intrinsically disordered regions(IDRs)and play important roles in connecting domains and maintaining inter-domain interactions.Trained with the limited available DFLs,the existing DFL predictors based on the machine learning techniques tend to predict the ordered residues as DFLs,leading to a high false positive rate(FPR)and low prediction accuracy.Previous studies have shown that DFLs are extremely flexible disordered regions,which are usually predicted as disordered residues with high confidence[P(D)>0.9]by an IDR predictor.Therefore,transferring an IDR predictor to an accurate DFL predictor is of great significance for understanding the functions of IDRs.In this study,we proposed a new predictor called TransDFL for identifying DFLs by transferring the RFPR-IDP predictor for IDR identification to the DFL prediction.The RFPR-IDP was pre-trained with IDR sequences to learn the general features between IDRs and DFLs,which is helpful to reduce the false positives in the ordered regions.RFPR-IDP was fine-tuned with the DFL sequences to capture the specific features of DFLs so as to be transferred into the TransDFL.Experimental results of two application scenarios(prediction of DFLs only in IDRs or prediction of DFLs in entire proteins)showed that TransDFL consistently outperformed other existing DFL predictors with higher accuracy.

We study a supply chain consisted of a supplier and both retailers,and the supplier sells a single product through a dominant retailer and a weak retailer.The aggressive bargaining behavior of the dominant retailer brings the supplier much concern and two feasible strategies are presented to respond to that:difference-setting wholesale pricing contract and integration with the weak retailer.We investigate the decisions of supply chain members under each solution and find that,compared to the traditional form,the supplier always benefits from announcing the difference-setting wholesale pricing contract for it not only raises the marginal wholesale profits of both channels but also reduces the market share of the dominant retailer,thus potentially weakening its channel power.In addition,we show that combining with the weak retailer is not a wise choice for suppliers when the dominant retailer with relatively little bargaining power enjoys a large market share.Finally,by comparing the equilibria of these two solutions,we find that the optimal choice for suppliers depends not only on the difference in market share but also on the dominant retailer's bargaining power in the negotiation.

在判断担保的独立性或从属性时,存在诸多难题,且并不能从传统担保法的路径中得到答案。从路径上而言,对独立性的判断不能建立在从属性推定的路径之上,而应当在打破从属性推定的基础上进行自足的个案判断。在司法实践中,应当基于担保文本的内容而不是名称进行判断;担保的主体差异只是判断的辅助性因素而非决定性因素;对于担保义务的描述而言,独立性条款、单据条款、限制抗辩权条款均为独立性的支持因素,而基础交易援引条款则多为消极条款。最高人民法院在即将出台的司法解释中应当对判断的路径和标准予以明确,以解决司法实践中的判断难题。

In this work,the Gd^(3+)/Eu^(3+) activated Ba_(3)Y_(4)O_(9)(BYO)phosphors were successfully synthesized via coprecipitation method at 1400℃.The precursor composition,crystal structure stability,microscopic morphology,photoluminescence(PL)/photoluminescence excitation(PLE)spectra and fluorescence attenuation analysis of the phosphors are discussed in detail.The chemical composition of the precursor was determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and thermogravimetry(TG)analysis;According to field emission-scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)analysis,it is found that the particle size of phosphor is uniform and the agglomeration is few.According to PL/PLE spectra analysis,Ba_(3)Y_(3.28)Eu_(0.6)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) phosphors has the strongest excitation band at 260 nm and the strongest emission band at 614 nm,and the fluorescence intensity of Ba_(3)Y_(3.28)Eu_(0.6)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) is higher than that of Ba_(3)Y^(3.4)Eu^(0.6)O_(9).The quenching concentration of Eu^(3+)in Ba_(3)Y_(3.88–4x)Eu_(4x)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) phosphors is x=0.15 and the mechanism of quenching concentration of Eu^(3+)is electric dipole-quadrupole type interactions.The lifetime value of Ba_(3)Y_(3.88–4x)Eu_(4x)Gd_(0.12)O_(9)(x=0.15)phosphors is 0.686 ms and decreases with the increase of Eu^(3+)content.In addition,the CIE chromaticity diagram of Ba_(3)Y_(3.28)Eu_(0.6)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) phosphors is(0.66,0.34).Finally,the lamp beads assembled with Ba_(3)Y_(3.28)Eu_(0.6)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) phosphors have an ideal luminous effect.Therefore,the Ba_(3)Y_(3.88–4x)Eu_(4x)Gd_(0.12)O_(9) phosphors designed in this work may hopefully meet the requirements of various lighting and optical display applications.

Luminescent materials are everywhere in our daily life. However, most are not performing at their best performance because of the thorny aggregation-caused fluorescence quenching(ACQ) effect in molecular aggregates. Opposite to ACQ,aggregation-induced emission(AIE) describes the photophysical phenomenon in which non-luminescent molecules in solutions are induced to show bright emission upon aggregate formation, as a result of restriction of intramolecular motions(RIM) caused by intermolecular steric interaction(e.g. tetraphenylethene(TPE) in Fig. 1) [1].

Grey prediction is vital in statistical prediction with wide applications.However,most grey prediction methods focus on annual predictions of the monotonic time series instead of the seasonal time series.The paper uses the extended model of the grey GM(1,1)model to predict the seasonal time series.Some improvements have been made in two aspects to improve the prediction accuracy of the model.1)We introduce seasonal multiple factors to transform the original time series,which improves the adaptability of the seasonal data to the model.The transformed series conforms to the law presented by the model.2)The seasonal data are in superimposed sine and cosine fluctuations with tendencies.Therefore,the paper extends the grey action quantity of the traditional GM(1,1)model.The newly extended grey model is called the GM(1,1,exp×sin,exp×cos)model,which is provided with the parameter optimization methods and time response equations.According to the proposed modeling method,we establish a GM(1,1,exp×sin,exp×cos)model for China's quarterly gross domestic product(GDP)with high accuracy.

The conventional grey GM(2,1)model built for the fast growing time sequence generally has big errors.To improve the modeling precision,the paper improves from the following two aspects:First,the paper transforms the accumulated generating sequence of original time sequence quantitatively to make the transformed time sequence have the better adaptability to the model;second,the paper extends the conventional grey GM(2,1)model’s structure to make the extended model meet the variation law of fast growing sequence better.The extended grey model is called the GM(2,1,Σexp(ct))model.The paper offers the parameter optimization method and the solving method of time response sequence of GM(2,1,Σexp(ct))model.Using the model and methods proposed,the paper builds the GM(2,1,Σexp(ct))models for the natural gas consumption of China and Chongqing City,China,respectively.Results show that the models built have high simulation precision and prediction precision.
