不同类型的高压电缆局部放电(简称局放)模式识别是该领域的难题。部分电缆局放类型之间相似度较大,识别困难。针对该问题,文中提出了一种基于随机决策森林(RF)的高压电缆局放模式识别方法。首先,制作了5种高压电缆人工缺陷,结合IEC 60270—2015系统和高频电流互感器(HFCT)进行实验,获取局放数据,并进行局放特征提取。其次,介绍了随机森林算法的原理和基于随机森林的高压电缆局放模式识别流程。最后,基于实验所得数据开展了局放模式识别方法有效性验证,确定了随机森林每个节点处特征子集中特征个数、节点分裂规则、树的棵数3个参数,并与传统的决策树、BP神经网络和支持向量机(SVM)3种方法进行比较。结果显示,与上述3种方法相比,随机森林算法对高相似度局放识别能力更强。

Highly repeatable multilevel bipolar resistive switching in Ti/Ce Ox/Pt nonvolatile memory device has been demonstrated. X-ray diffraction studies of Ce O2 films reveal the formation of weak polycrystalline structure. The observed good memory performance, including stable cycling endurance and long data retention times（〉10^4s） with an acceptable resistance ratio（～10^2）, enables the device for its applications in future non-volatile resistive random access memories（RRAMs）. Based on the unique distribution characteristics of oxygen vacancies in Ce Ox films, the possible mechanism of multilevel resistive switching in Ce Ox RRAM devices has been discussed. The conduction mechanism in low resistance state is found to be Ohmic due to conductive filamentary paths, while that in the high resistance state was identified as Ohmic for low applied voltages and a space-charge-limited conduction dominated by Schottky emission at high applied voltages.

Very high concentration of flexural, shear and torsional stresses occurs at the wall-slab junctions in a laterally loaded tall building consisting of planar walls and coupling slabs. Due to this concentration of stresses and their interaction, there are great chances of failure to occur at the junction. Also the flexural stresses are not uniformly distributed and have the highest intensity near the periphery of inner walls but are reduced drastically as we move away from the wall-slab junction. Numerous attempts have been made to strengthen the wall-slab junction by using various types of shear reinforcement to ensure that shear failure should not occur. Various methods including fibre reinforcement consisting of twins of twisted steel couplets have already been used. This paper describes a new method of placing 2 inch wide flange I-sections at appropriate locations to improve the shear strength of the wall-slab junctions. Based on systematic research, a new procedure has also been developed to assess the strength of wall-slab junction using the new reinforcement method. Test results showed that a substantial increase, up to 57%, in the shear strength of specimens was obtained by using the new method of shear reinforcement in a laterally loaded tall building.

Hybrid cotton production through exploitation of heterosis is the only way for having vertical improvement and betterment in seed cotton yield which has been stagnated in the recent years. The current study was conducted to evaluate the performance of F2 population for studying mean performance, heterotic effects and inbreeding depression in upland cotton for polygenic traits. Parental genotypes and their F2s were sown at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agricultural University, Peshawar during 2010, manually. All the traits revealed highly significant (p ≤ 0.01) variations for both parents and their F2 hybrids. Mean performance for parents and their F2 hybrids is: (5.26 to 7.12 & 4.43 to 6.60) seeds locule-1, (21.10 to 28.03 & 20.40 to 28.50) seed boll-1, (32.20 to 34.80 & 32.22 to 35.05) lint% and (62.87 to 85.47 & 45.94 to 92.04) seed cotton yield plant-1, respectively. Heterotic effects found over mid parent and better parent were: 66.66% & 46.66% (seeds locule-1), 60% & 30% (seed boll-1), 43.33% & 30% (lint %) and 36.66% & 16.66% (seed cotton yield plant-1), respectively. For the parameters: seeds locule-1 (11 & 10), seeds boll-1 (2 & 1) and seed cotton yield plant-1 (3 & 1) showed positive highly significant heterosis for both mid and better parent, respectively while lint% did not reveal any positive significant heterosis. F2 populations i.e. CIM-499 × CIM-554 and CIM-554 × CIM-499 revealed highly significant heterotic effects over mid and better parent for all the traits except lint % while CIM-554 × CIM-707 showed highly significant heterotic effects for seeds locule-1 and seed cotton yield palnt-1. Positive economic heterotic effects were also exhibited by more than 50% of the F2 population i.e., 76.66% for seed locule-1, 50% for seeds boll-1, 3.33% for lint% and 20% for seed cotton yield plant-1, respectively. 洪水是巴基斯坦最常见的自然灾害。几乎每隔一年，来袭的洪水都会极大损害基础设施，并造成数百人的伤亡。在巴基斯坦，已经有数千人在洪水中丧生。在巴基斯坦，政府对洪水的管理是一个十分具有争议的问题。但是关于机构在遭遇洪水时如何进行应对的研究还存在不足。本研究探索在洪水灾害中巴基斯坦这个国家作为一个整体以及该国国民作为个人所面临的挑战。巴基斯坦经历过一场不同寻常的水灾害，在应对的过程中，国家薄弱的经济实力以及迟缓的应对行为难以有效遏制洪水的威胁。在洪水管理行动规划中，提供了受水灾害影响的相关社区综合信息。本研究梳理了在2011年水灾中信德省遭遇的危机，调查了针对此次水灾的洪水管理，以及国家范围内与洪水管理相关的各公共组织的职责。最后，本研究提出了一些旨在减少类似灾害以及缓解灾害影响的相关建议。

Analysis of Bifenthrin Degrading Bacteria from Rhizosphere of Plants Growing at Tannery Solid Waste

Bifenthrin is an insecticide which is used to control insects, mites, and ticks. It poses a solemn en-vironmental threat and health risk to living organisms. It may be bioaccumulated or biomagnified at different trophic levels in the food chain by biota. Microbes are hidden creature of earth’s biodiversity. For isolation of bifenthrin degrading bacteria, rhizospheric soil samples of plants like Pisum sativum, Triticun aestvum, Chenopodium album were taken from tannery solid waste, Kasur, Pakistan. Enrichment culture techniques were used for the isolation of bacterial strains that showed luxurious growth on minimal growth media with bifenthrin dose was selected for biodegradation study. Bacteria were further screened out based on their morphological, biochemical parameters and degradation efficiency. Furthermore the effect of different growth factors like temperature, pH, inoculum concencentration, minimal inhibitory concentration of heavy metals and antibiotics were also studied. Bacterial strains of Xanthomonas and Bacillus sp. were identified as efficient degrading microbes. Maximum bifenthrin utilization were observed at 25°C (pH 7), with 500 μL inoculum of Bacillus sp., while Xanthomonas sp. gave optimm utilization at 30°C (pH 7) at the same inoculum volume of bacteria. The Rf values of Bacillus sp. and Xanthomonas sp. were 0.91 and 0.90 respectively, which indicated their potential to metabolize bifenthrin into nontoxic forms. These strains can be used to clean up the sites polluted with pesticides and tannery wastes when present in rhizosphere of plants.

The discovery of a strong association between hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection and mixed cryoglobulinemia(MC) has led to an increasingly rare diagnosis of idiopathic essential MC(EMC).The incidence of EMC is high in regions where there is a comparatively low HCV infection burden and low in areas of high infection prevalence,including *** diagnosis of EMC requires an extensive laboratory investigation to exclude all possible causes of cryoglobulin *** addition,although cryoglobulin testing is simple,improper testing conditions will result in false negative ***,we present a 46-year-old female patient with a case of EMC with dermatological and renal manifestations,highlighting the importance of extensive investigation to reacha proper *** review the need for appropriate laboratory testing,which is often neglected in clinical practice and which can result in false negative *** review also emphasizes the significance of an extended testing repertoire necessary for better patient *** a strong association of MC with HCV infection and other causes that lead to cryoglobulin formation,EMC remains a separate *** diagnosis requires proper temperature regulation during sample handling,as well as characterization and quantification of the *** of rheumatoid factor activity and complement levels in the cryoglobulin test-panel promotes better patient management and *** guidelines should be developed and implemented for cryoglobulin detection and the diagnosis of cryoglobulinemic syndrome,which will reduce variability in inter-laboratory reporting.

Rigorous coupled-wave analysis has been used to design a glazing for hot climates. The designed glazing is relatively simple and it transmits most of the visible light and reflects most of the infrared radiation. It does not need any external source of energy to control its optical properties. It consists of ITO and four periodic pairs of Si/SiO2, deposited on a glass sheet. The optimum thicknesses of ITO, Si and SiO2 are 0.1 μm, 0.15 and 0.4 μm, respectively. The glazing acts as an optically selective filter. It transmits about 80% of the visible light and reflects almost all the infrared radiation. The performance of the glazing is almost independent of the angle of incidence of solar radiation. This makes it suitable for all hours of the day. The fabrication of the glazing and the testing have been performed at the laboratories of the Faculty of Science, University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. Magnetron sputtering technique has been used for the fabrication. ITO, Si and SiO2 have been used as sputtering targets. The experimental results are almost identical to the simulation results.

Integrated Nutrient Management of Safflower (Carthamus tinctoriusL.) under Rainfed Conditions

Optimistic and sustainable supply of soil available nutrients to crop plants enhances productivity. Integrated nutrient management (INM) approach can improve soil fertility on long term basis. The present study was conducted to determine effects of INM on quantitative and qualitative characters of two Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) cultivars “Thori-78 and Leed-00”. Five treatments using different composition of poultry litter, farm yard manure, nitrogen and phosphorous fertilizers with recommended dose as a control measure were replicated thrice in randomized complete design. The results of field trial depicted maximum plant height (174.6 cm), number of heads plant-1 (42.67), number of seeds head-1 (59.0), thousand seed weight (42.26 g), biological yield (3089 Kg·ha-1) and seed yield (455.2 Kg·ha-1) recorded from combined application of FYM @ 2 t·ha-1and Half (N-P) (soil application) (T5) in Genotype “Leed-00” which was statistically different from all other treatments. Thori-78 also showed increase in yield and yield components under the same treatment (T5) i.e.2 t·ha-1 FYM and Half (N-P).No effect of INM was found on fatty acid composition of safflower cultivars. The correlation coefficients illustrated positive and significant association of seed yield with plant height (0.89), number of heads pod-1 (0.86) and number of seeds head-1 (0.83) as a result of application of selected treatment. These results demonstrated the significance of INM in safflower yield improvement under rainfed conditions.
