The Stock Market is one of the most active research areas,and predicting its nature is an epic necessity nowadays.Predicting the Stock Market is quite challenging,and it requires intensive study of the pattern of data.Specific statistical models and artificially intelligent algorithms are needed to meet this challenge and arrive at an appropriate solution.Various machine learning and deep learning algorithms can make a firm prediction with minimised error possibilities.The Artificial Neural Network(ANN)or Deep Feedforward Neural Network and the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)are the two network models that have been used extensively to predict the stock market prices.The models have been used to predict upcoming days'data values from the last few days'data values.This process keeps on repeating recursively as long as the dataset is valid.An endeavour has been taken to optimise this prediction using deep learning,and it has given substantial results.The ANN model achieved an accuracy of 97.66%,whereas the CNN model achieved an accuracy of 98.92%.The CNN model used 2-D histograms generated out of the quantised dataset within a particular time frame,and prediction is made on that data.This approach has not been implemented earlier for the analysis of such datasets.As a case study,the model has been tested on the recent COVID-19 pandemic,which caused a sudden downfall of the stock market.The results obtained from this study was decent enough as it produced an accuracy of 91%.

The convenience of availing quality services at affordable costs anytime and anywhere makes mobile technology very popular among users.Due to this popularity,there has been a huge rise in mobile data volume,applications,types of services,and number of customers.Furthermore,due to the COVID-19 pandemic,the worldwide lockdown has added fuel to this increase as most of our professional and commercial activities are being done online from home.This massive increase in demand for multi-class services has posed numerous challenges to wireless network frameworks.The services offered through wireless networks are required to support this huge volume of data and multiple types of traffic,such as real-time live streaming of videos,audios,text,images etc.,at a very high bit rate with a negligible delay in transmission and permissible vehicular speed of the customers.Next-generation wireless networks(NGWNs,i.e.5G networks and beyond)are being developed to accommodate the service qualities mentioned above and many more.However,achieving all the desired service qualities to be incorporated into the design of the 5G network infrastructure imposes large challenges for designers and engineers.It requires the analysis of a huge volume of network data(structured and unstructured)received or collected from heterogeneous devices,applications,services,and customers and the effective and dynamic management of network parameters based on this analysis in real time.In the ever-increasing network heterogeneity and complexity,machine learning(ML)techniques may become an efficient tool for effectively managing these issues.In recent days,the progress of artificial intelligence and ML techniques has grown interest in their application in the networking domain.This study discusses current wireless network research,brief discussions on ML methods that can be effectively applied to the wireless networking domain,some tools available to support and customise efficient mobile system design,and some unresolved issues for future research directions

Thornthwaite moisture index and depth of suction change under current and future climate‒An Australian study

Climate change is one of the major global challenges and it can have a significant influence on the behaviour and resilience of geotechnical structures.The changes in moisture content in soil lead to effective stress changes and can be accompanied by significant volume changes in reactive/expansive soils.The volume change leads to ground movement and can exert additional stresses on structures founded on or within a shallow depth of such soils.Climate change is likely to amplify the ground movement potential and the associated problems are likely to worsen.The effect of atmospheric boundary interaction on soil behaviour has often been correlated to Thornthwaite moisture index(TMI).In this study,the long-term weather data and anticipated future projections for various emission scenarios were used to generate a series of TMI maps for Australia.The changes in TMI were then correlated to the depth of suction change(H s),an important input in ground movement calculation.Under all climate scenarios considered,reductions in TMI and increases in H s values were observed.A hypothetical design scenario of a footing on expansive soil under current and future climate is discussed.It is observed that a design that might be considered adequate under the current climate scenario,may fail under future scenarios and accommodations should be made in the design for such events.

Transition metal-based single-atom catalysts(TM-SACs);rising materials for electrochemical CO_(2) reduction

The continuous increase of global atmospheric CO_(2) concentrations brutally damages our environment. A series of methods have been developed to convert CO_(2) to valuable fuels and value-added chemicals to maintain the equilibrium of carbon cycles. The electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) is one of the promising methods to produce fuels and chemicals, and it could offer sustainable paths to decrease carbon intensity and support renewable energy. Thus, significant research efforts and highly efficient catalysts are essential for converting CO_(2) into other valuable chemicals and fuels. Transition metal-based single atoms catalysts(TM-SACs) have recently received much attention and offer outstanding electrochemical applications with high activity and selectivity opportunities. By taking advantage of both heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts, TM-SACs are the new rising star for electrochemical conversion of CO_(2) to the value-added product with high selectivity. In recent years, enormous research effort has been made to synthesize different TM-SACs with different M–Nxsites and study the electrochemical conversion of CO_(2) to CO. This review has discussed the development and characterization of different TMSACs with various catalytic sites, fundamental understanding of the electrochemical process in CO_(2) RR,intrinsic catalytic activity, and molecular strategics of SACs responsible for CO_(2)RR. Furthermore, we extensively review previous studies on 1 st-row transition metals TM-SACs(Ni, Co, Fe, Cu, Zn, Sn) and dual-atom catalysts(DACs) utilized for electrochemical CO_(2) conversions and highlight the opportunities and challenges.

A Linearized Branch Flow Model Considering Line Shunts for Radial Distribution Systems and Its Application in Volt/VAr Control

When urban distribution systems are gradually modernized,the overhead lines are replaced by underground cables,whose shunt admittances can not be ignored.Traditional power flow(PF)model withπequivalent circuit shows non-convexity and long computing time,and most recently proposed linear PF models assume zero shunt elements.All of them are not suitable for fast calculation and optimization problems of modern distribution systems with non-negligible line shunts.Therefore,this paper proposes a linearized branch flow model considering line shunt(LBFS).The strength of LBFS lies in maintaining the linear structure and the convex nature after appropriately modeling theπequivalent circuit for network equipment like transformers.Simulation results show that the calculation accuracy in nodal voltage and branch current magnitudes is improved by considering shunt admittances.We show the application scope of LBFS by controlling the network voltages through a two-stage stochastic Volt/VAr control(VVC)problem with the uncertain active power output from renewable energy sources(RESs).Since LBFS results in a linear VVC program,the global solution is guaranteed.Case study exhibits that VVC framework can optimally dispatch the discrete control devices,viz.substation transformers and shunt capacitors,and also optimize the decision rules for real-time reactive power control of RES.Moreover,the computing efficiency is significantly improved compared with that of traditional VVC methods.

Three-port transoral robotic thyroidectomy without axillary incision:A preliminary report of 20 cases in China

Objective:Transoral scarless thyroid surgery has proven to be a popular alternative to traditional approaches.Transoral robotic thyroidectomy(TORT)has been reported using ports on the lower lip and axilla.Avoiding axillary incision can further reduce scars on the armpit.Here,we present our preliminary data from the initial 20 consecutive patients to explore the feasibility of three-port TORT without axillary incision.Methods:From September 2017 to June 2019,we performed TORT at Beijing United Family Hospital using three intraoral ports without axillary incision via the da Vinci Si system with three robotic arms.The outcomes of the procedure were retrospectively reviewed.Results:Among 20 patients(mean age 30±7 years;mean tumor size 1.64±0.96 cm),16 patients underwent unilateral thyroid lobectomy and four had total thyroidectomy with or without central neck dissection.Eighteen patients had papillary thyroid carcinomas(PTC),one had a follicular thyroid carcinoma,and one had a thyroid adenoma.The mean surgical time was 221±68 min.The mean number of retrieved central lymph nodes in the PTC patients was 5.6±5.There was no permanent vocal cord palsy or hypocalcemia postoperatively.One patient had transient vocal cord palsy,which resolved within 1 week.Paresthesia of the lower lip and the chin was observed in nine patients,and one patient had a first-degree burn of the skin flap due to the lens.Conclusion:Three-port TORT without axillary incision is feasible for selected patients and would be a potential alternative for remote-access thyroid surgery to avoid leaving scars on the neck or the armpit.

Controlling Remote Robots Based on Zidan’s Quantum Computing Model

In this paper,we propose a novel algorithm based on Zidan’s quantum computing model for remotely controlling the direction of a quantumcontrolledmobile robot equippedwith n-movements.The proposed algorithm is based on the measurement of concurrence value for the different movements of the robot.Consider a faraway robot that moves in the deep space(e.g.,moves toward a galaxy),and it is required to control the direction of this robot from a ground station by some person Alice.She sends an unknown qubitα|0)+β|1)via the teleportation protocol to the robot.Then,the proposed algorithm decodes the received unknown qubit into an angleθ,that determines the motion direction of the robot,based on the concurrence value.The proposed algorithm has been tested for four and eight movements.Two simulators have been tested;IBM Quantum composer and IBM’s system,The two simulators achieved the same result approximately.The motion of any part of the robot is considered,if it has a pre-existing sensor system and a locomotive system,.We can use this technique in many places like in space robots(16 directions).The results show that the proposed technique can be easily used for a huge number of movements.However,increasing the number of movements of the robot will increase the number of qubits.

Effects of slip, viscous dissipation and Joule heating on the MHD flow and heat transfer of a second grade fluid past a radially stretching sheet

The flow and heat transfer of an electrically conducting non-Newtonian second grade fluid due to a radially stretching surface with partial slip is considered. The partial slip is controlled by a dimensionless slip factor, which varies between zero （total adhesion） and infinity （full slip）. Suitable similarity transformations are used to reduce the resulting highly nonlinear partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. The issue of paucity of boundary conditions is addressed and an effective numerical scheme is adopted to solve the obtained differential equations even without augmenting any extra boundary conditions. The important findings in this communication are the combined effects of the partial slip, magnetic interaction parameter and the second grade fluid parameter on the velocity and temperature fields. It is interesting to find that the slip increases the momentum and thermal boundary layer thickness. As the slip increases in magnitude, permitting more fluid to slip past the sheet, the skin friction coefficient decreases in magnitude and approaches zero for higher values of the slip parameter, i.e., the fluid behaves as though it were inviscid. The presence of a magnetic field has also substantial effects on velocity and temperature fields.

Spectral Characteristic Based on Fabry–Pérot Laser Diode with Two-Stage Optical Feedback

An optical device,consisting of a multi-mode Fabry–Pérot laser diode(MMFP-LD)with two-stage optical feedback,is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.The results show that the single-mode output with side-mode suppression ratio(SMSR)of~21.7 dB is attained by using the first-stage feedback.By using the second-stage feedback,the SMSR of single-mode operation could be increased to~28.5 dB while injection feedback power of-29 dBm is introduced into the laser diode.In the case of up to-29 dBm feedback power,the outcome SMSR is rapidly decayed to a very low level so that an obvious multi-mode operation in the output spectrum could be achieved at the feedback power level of-15.5 dBm.Thus,a transition between single-and multi-mode operations could be flexibly controlled by adjusting the injected power in the second-stage feedback system.Additionally,in the case of injection locking,the outcome SMSR and output power at the locked wavelength are as high as~50 dB and~5.8 dBm,respectively.

目的探讨经口机器人手术(transoral robotic surgery,TORS)治疗口咽癌的肿瘤学及功能学效果,以及该方法的安全性。方法回顾性分析2017年6月1日至2020年12月31日北京和睦家医院行TORS治疗的口咽癌患者26例,其中男性22例,女性4例,年龄39~76岁。T1-2期患者占88.5%(23/26)。收集相关临床病理学及随访资料,记录患者拔除胃管及气管插管的时间,采用SPSS软件包进行生存分析,计算总生存率及无病生存率。结果26例口咽癌患者均接受TORS治疗,无中转开放手术,其中20例行同期颈淋巴清扫术。TORS手术时间为65~360 min,平均215 min。术中出血量5~600 ml,平均70 ml。术后4例患者(15.4%)行气管切开,其中3例术后1个月内拔除气管套管,1例至随访结束未能拔除。12例患者(46.2%)行胃管置入,其中11例术后1个月内拔除胃管,1例患者术后13 d因口咽部出血死亡,死亡时胃管尚未拔除。术后1例患者(3.8%)切缘阳性,余患者切缘阴性。16例患者(61.5%)行术后放疗,其中11例患者(42.3%)进行以铂类为主的同步化疗。中位随访时间21.5个月(0.4~45.0个月)。3年总生存率为83.0%,3年无病生存率为75.8%。结论选择合适的口咽癌患者,TORS可取得良好的肿瘤学及功能学效果,手术并发症较少,治疗安全可行。
