Generating highly active oxide-phosphide heterostructure through interfacial engineering to break the energy scaling relation toward urea-assisted natural seawater electrolysis

Urea-assisted natural seawater electrolysis is an emerging technology that is effective for grid-scale carbon-neutral hydrogen ma.s production yet *** scaling relations is an effective strategy to break through the bottleneck of natural seawater ***,by DFT calculation,we demonstrated that the interface boundaries between Ni_(2)P and MoO_(2) play an essential role in the selfrelaxation of the Ni-O interfacial bond,effectively modulating a coordination number of intermediates to control independently their adsorption-free energy,thus circumventing the adsorption-energy scaling *** this conceptual model,a well-defined 3D F-doped Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) heterostructure microrod array was rationally designed via an interfacial engineering strategy toward urea-assisted natural seawater *** a result,the F-Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) exhibits eminently active and durable bifunctional catalysts for both HER and OER in acid,alkaline,and alkaline sea water-based *** in-situ analysis,we found that a thin amorphous layer of NiOOH,which is evolved from the Ni_(2)P during anodic reaction,is real catalytic active sites for the OER and UOR ***,such electrode-assembled urea-assisted natural seawater electrolyzer requires low voltages of 1.29 and 1.75 V to drive 10 and600 ma.cm^(-2)and demonstrates superior durability by operating continuously for 100 h at 100 ma.cm^(-2),beyond commercial Pt/C||RuO_(2) and most previous reports.

We study a proposed model describing the propagation of computer virus in the network with antidote in vulnerable system. ma.hema.ical analysis shows that dynamics of the spread of computer viruses is determined by the threshold Ro. If Ro 〈 1, the virusfree equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable, and if R0 〉 1, the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. Lyapunov functional method as well as geometric approach are used for proving the global stability of equilibria. A numerical investigation is carried out to confirm the analytical results. Through parameter analysis, some effective strategies for eliminating viruses are suggested.

We analyze MESSENGER reflectance measurements covering the northern polar region of Mercury,the least studied region of the northern mercurian *** use observations from the Mercury Dual Ima.ing System Wide-Angle Camera(MDIS/WAC)and the Mercury Atmospheric and Surface Composition Spectrometer(ma.CS/VIRS)to study the spectral dependence of the surface *** results obtained from the observations ma.e by both instruments are rema.kably *** find that a second degree polynomial description of the measured reflectance spectra gives very good fits to the data and that the informa.ion that they carry can best be characterized by two parameters,the mean reflectance and the mean relative spectral slope,averaged over the explored range of *** properties of the four ma.n types of terrains known to form Mercury’s regolith in the northern region,smooth plains(SPs),heavily cratered terrain(HCT),fresh ejecta/ma.erials and red pitted ground(RPG),are examined in terms of these two *** results are compared,and found consistent with those obtained by earlier studies in spite of difficulties met in obtaining accurate reflectance measurements under the large incidence angle condition characteristic of polar *** results will help with the preparation of the BepiColombo mission and with supporting its observational strategy.

The metal-organic framework(MOF)derived Ni–Co–C–N composite alloys(NiCCZ)were“embedded”inside the carbon cloth(CC)strands as opposed to the popular idea of growing them upward to realize ultrastable energy storage and conversion *** NiCCZ was then oxygen functionalized,facilitating the next step of stoichiometric sulfur anion diffusion during hydrotherma. sulfurization,generating a flower-like metal hydroxysulfide structure(NiCCZOS)with strong partial implantation inside *** obtained NiCCZOS shows an excellent capacity when tested as a supercapacitor electrode in a three-electrode ***,when paired with the bioma.s-derived nitrogen-rich activated carbon,the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows almost 100%capacity retention even after 45,000 charge–discharge cycles with rema.kable energy density(59.4 Wh kg^(-1)/263.8μWh cm^(–2))owing to a uniquely designed ***,the same electrode performed as an excellent bifunctional water-splitting electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 271 mV for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and 168.4 mV for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 ma.cm−2 current density along with 30 h of unhinged chronopotentiometric stability performa.ce for both HER and ***,a unique metal chalcogenide composite electrode/substrate configuration has been proposed as a highly stable electrode ma.erial for flexible energy storage and conversion applications.

A new approach for predicting forming limit curves(FLCs)at elevated temperatures was proposed *** are often used to predict failure and determine the optima. forming parameters of automotive ***,a graphical method based on a modified ma.imum force criterion was applied to estima.e the FLCs of 22MnB5 boron steel sheets at room temperature using various hardening ***,the predicted FLC data at room temperature were compared with corresponding data obtained from Nakazima.s tests to obtain the best *** estima.e the FLC at elevated temperatures,tensile tests were conducted at various temperatures to determine the ratios of equivalent fracture strains between the corresponding elevated temperatures and room *** at elevated temperatures could be established based on obtained ***,the predicted FLCs at elevated temperatures did not agree well with the corresponding FLC experimental data of Zhou et al.A new method was proposed herein to improve the prediction of FLCs at elevated *** FLC calculated at room tem-perature was utilized to predict the failure of Nakazima.s samples via finite element *** on the simulation results at room temperature,the ma.hema.ical relationships between the equivalent ductile fracture strain versus stress triaxiality and strain ratio were established and then combined with ratios between elevated and room temperatures to calculate the FLCs at different *** predicted FLCs at elevated temperatures agree well with the corresponding experimental FLC data.

The crosslinked gelatin/chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)/hydroxyapatite(GEL/CTS/PVA/HAp, GCPH) sponges were fabricated by a freeze-drying method to yield the reinforced composite sponges with proper features. The porosity value and pore size of the crosslinked GCPH sponges reached ～80% and 50–100 μm, respectively, which can be an appropriate range to allow cells to migrate into the reinforced composite sponges in the tissue engineering technology. Besides, the proper bonding presence between HAp particles and the crosslinked polymeric ma.rix or the crosslinked network forma.ion between the polymers were also proved through fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and therma. gravimetric(TG/DTG) analysis. Owing to incorporation of HAp particles and good distribution of HAp particles inside the crosslinked polymeric ma.rix, their mechanical properties were improved through the determination of compression tests. Concomitantly, their water absorption ability reached effectively in both the distilled water and Na Cl solution, and their recovery also ma.ntained well for 10 absorbing–squeezing cycles to be considered as an effective reusability for the crosslinked sponge ***, the crosslinked GCPH sponge prepared in the present study can become a potential candidate to apply especially in the biomedical/medical applications and tissue engineering technology.
