The problem studied in this pa.er wa. inspired from a. a.tua. textile compa.y. The problem is more complex tha. usua. scheduling problems in tha. we compute overtime requirements a.d ma.e scheduling decisions simulta.eously. Since ha.ing ta.dy jobs is not desira.le, we a.low overtime to minimize the number of ta.dy jobs. The overa.l objective is to ma.imize profits. We present va.ious ma.hema.ica. models to solve this problem. Ea.h ma.hema.ica. model reflects different overtime workforce hiring pra.tices. a. experimenta.ion ha. been ca.ried out using eight different da.a.sets from the sa.ples of rea. da.a.collected in the a.ove mentioned textile compa.y. Ma.hema.ica. Model 2 wa. the best ma.hema.ica. model with respect to both profit a.d execution time. This model considered pa.tia. overtime periods a.d a.so a.lowed different overtime periods on cells. We could solve problems up to 90 jobs per period. This wa. much more tha. wha. the mentioned textile compa.y ha. to ha.dle on a.weekly ba.is. a. a.result, these models ca. be used to ma.e these decisions in ma.y industria. settings.

This study exa.ines long-term a.d deca.a. spa.io-tempora. pa.terns of a.la.tic tropica. cyclone frequencies from 1944 to 2009, a.d a.a.yzes ca.egorica. a.d deca.a. centroid pa.terns using kernel density estima.ion (KDE) a.d centrogra.hic sta.istics. Results corrobora.e previous resea.ch which ha. suggested tha. the Bermuda.a.ores a.ticyclone pla.s a. integra. role in the direction of tropica. cyclone tra.ks. Other teleconnections such a. the North a.la.tic Oscilla.ion (Na.) ma. a.so ha.e a. impa.t on tropica. cyclone tra.ks, but a. a.different tempora. resolution. Results expa.d on existing knowledge of the spa.ia. trends of tropica. cyclones ba.ed on storm ca.egory a.d time through the use of spa.ia. sta.istics. Overa.l, loca.ion of pea. frequency va.ies by tropica. cyclone ca.egory, with stronger storms being more concentra.ed in na.row regions of the southern Ca.ibbea. Sea.a.d Gulf of Mexico, while wea.er storms occur in a.much la.ger a.ea.tha. encompa.ses much of the Ca.ibbea. Sea. Gulf of Mexico, a.d a.la.tic Ocea. off of the ea.t coa.t of the United Sta.es. a.ditiona.ly, the deca.a. centroids of tropica. cyclone tra.ks ha.e oscilla.ed over a.la.ge a.ea.of the a.la.tic Ocea. for much of recorded history. Da.a.collected since 1944 ca. be a.a.yzed confidently to revea. these pa.terns.

Investiga.ion of ma.e sterility muta.ions is a. effective a.proa.h for identifica.ion of genes involved in a.ther a.d pollen development. The compa.ison of “cytologica. phenotypes” of newly induced muta.ts with phenotypes determined by a.rea.y known genes fa.ors elucida.ion of genetic control of diverse microsporo- a.d ga.etogenesis sta.es. In this pa.er, we describe pollen development in the gra.n sorghum line Zh10-a.c1 with muta.ion of ma.e sterility. This line wa. obta.ned from ca.lus culture trea.ed by sodium a.corba.e. a.wide spectrum of a.norma.ities in microsporogenesis ha.e been found, such a. cytomixis, chromosoma. la.ga.ds, chromosome disjunction, a.hesion of chromosomes, disturbed cytokinesis, a.d others. In ta.etum, the cells with one nucleus, with unequa. nuclei, a.d with micronuclei ha.e been observed. During pollen gra.n (PG) ma.ura.ion a.norma.ities in sta.ch a.cumula.ion a.d dela. of development often took pla.e. Recla.med mined soils (RMSs) could restore soil qua.ity a.d ecosystem productivity while sequestering C a.d off-setting some of C emissions a.socia.ed with coa. utiliza.ion. The study wa. conducted to eva.ua.e the effects of tilla.e a.d pa.ture ma.a.ement on soil physica. properties, soil orga.ic ca.bon (SOC) a.d microbia. bioma.s ca.bon (MBC) in RMSs ma.a.ed for a.ricultura. use in ea.tern Ohio. Soil bulk density (ρb) of the top 50 cm ra.ged from 1.11 to 1.93 Mg·m-3. The ρb of the RMSs wa. significa.tly more tha. tha. of the undisturbed soils. Wa.er sta.le a.grega.es (WSa. a.d mea. weight dia.eter (MWD) of the 0 - 10 cm soil la.er were significa.tly lower under recla.med conventiona. tilla.e (RCT) tha. recla.med no tilla.e (RNT) a.d recla.med pa.ture (RP), proba.ly due to tilla.e-induced disturba.ce. The SOC pool of the top 50 cm la.er wa. 64.2, 66.5, 75.4, 86.1 a.d 101.1 Mg·C·ha.1 for undisturbed pa.ture (Und P), RNT, RCT, RP a.d undisturbed ha.dwood forest (Und HWF), respectively (LSD = 7.7 Mg·ha.1). The RMSs under pa.ture a.cumula.ed SOC a. higher ra.es tha. RMSs under cropla.d. Recla.med pa.ture la.d use increa.ed SOC pool by 14% or 0.5 Mg·ha.1·yr-1 a.d 30% or 0.9 Mg·ha.1·yr-1 rela.ive to RNT a.d RCT la.d uses, respectively. Our da.a.indica.ed tha. RMSs under forest a.d pa.tures ha. higher SOC sequestra.ion ra.es tha. RMSs under a.a.le la.d use, proba.ly due to disturba.ces a.socia.ed with fa.m opera.ions. The MBC of the RMSs were genera.ly lower tha. those of the undisturbed sites. The disturba.ces a.socia.ed with mining a.d recla.a.ion reduced the MBC by 39, 53 a.d 21% under RCT, RNT a.d RP compa.ed to the undisturbed forest a.d pa.ture sites. However, the a.ount of minera.iza.le C wa. not significa.tly different a.ong la.d disturba.ces or la.d uses.

Dela.ed reperfusion of a.ute occlusive limb ischemia.ca.ses loca. a.d systemic serious consequences a.d is the ma.n ca.se of morbidity a.d morta.ity in these pa.ients. The a.m of this study wa. to exa.ine the outcome a.d risk fa.tors of reperfusion injury in such ca.es. Pa.ients a.d Methods: Retrospective review of a.l ca.es presented, to King Fa.d Hospita. of University, with a.ute occlusive limb ischemia.more tha. 12 hours wa. performed between June 2004 a.d November 2012. Gra.es of ischemia. extremities, comorbidities, morbidities a.d morta.ity were recorded. Results: During the study period, 92 pa.ients were included, 47 (51%) were embolic a.d the rest wa. thrombotic. On a.mission, 15 pa.ients ha. gra.e III ischemia. 68 ha. gra.e IIb, 8 ha. gra.e IIa.a.d 1 ha. gra.e I. Four pa.ients died (4.3%) a.d 15 (16%) pa.ients ha. a.puta.ion. The risk fa.tors of a.puta.ion were a.e (p = 0.031), extremity (lower limb 21% vs. Upper limb 0%, p = 0.019), ca.se of ischemia.(thrombotic 24% vs. embolic 8.5%, p = 0.049) a.d gra.e of ischemia.(p = 0.001). Conclusion: Dela.ed reperfusion of a.ute occlusive ischemia.ca.ries a.cepta.le morbidity a.d morta.ity a.d could be performed even in irreversible ischemia. The risk fa.tors of a.puta.ion a.e a.e, lower limb ischemia. thrombosis a.d gra.e III ischemia.

The effective utilisa.ion of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) requires in-depth a.d deta.led understa.ding of bonding mecha.isms governing the tensile beha.iour. In response to this dema.d, this study presents a. empirica. description of the a.ia. force required to pull out a.hooked end steel fibre from a.cementitious ma.rix. It is ba.ed upon consistent experimenta. tests tha. show the force versus displa.ement plot is formed from a.sequence of events in which pa.tia. a.d full debonding a. the interfa.e is followed by bending of the hook knee to ra.se the force to its ma.imum. a.loss of pea. force occurs with the reversed pla.ticity involved in a.full stra.ghtening of the fibre tha. precedes the ra.id sliding to its full remova. under a.fa.ling force. The sta.es a.e a.sembled in the sa.d order with a.piecewise connection between linea. segments a.d a.curve of exponentia. deca.. a.power la. ca. be introduced to describe the knee bending sta.e if preferred.
