Energy Harvesting in the Wake of An Inverted C-Shaped Bluff Body

This paper proposes a novel wake-induced vibration(WIV)-based energy harvesting system consisting of two bluff *** inverted C-shaped bluff body is stationary installed at the upstream position to generate an interference wake street,and a cylinder bluff body equipped with a transducer is elastically suspended at the downstream position to harness WIV *** hydrodynamics and energy harvesting(EH)performance of the proposed system are investigated via experimental *** reduced velocity(U*)ranging from 2 to 14(the corresponding Reynolds number ranging from 15100 to 106200)is considered in the present *** is found that the wake generated by the inverted C-shaped bluff body significantly affects the EH *** the opening angle(α)of the C-shaped bluff body increases the vibration amplitude of the downstream cylinder,thereby increasing the harvested *** the spacing(L)between two bluff bodies is two times the cylinder diameter(D),the wake-induced vibration(WIV)mode is observed,while the combined WIV and wake galloping(WG)mode occurs whenαis 150°,and L equals 3D or *** average drag coefficient becomes negative when L is 2D,3D,or *** carefully configuring a C-shaped bluff body,the wake generated by it can bring an augmenting effect on the vibration of the downstream EH *** example,the RmS power output of the proposed EH system reaches a maximum of 0.31 W at U*=8 and L=4D,which is 300%greater than that of its traditional ***,after a number of case stud-ies,it is identified that the proposed EH system can achieve the best performance whenαis 150°and L=2D.

A greater number of compact and reliable electrostatic capacitors are in demand due to the Internet of Things boom and rapidly growing complex and integrated electronic systems,continuously promoting the development of high-energy-density ceramic-based *** significant successes have been achieved in obtaining high energy densities in lead-based ferroelectric ceramics,the utilization of lead-containing ceramies has been restricted due to environmental and health hazards of ***-free ferroelectric ceramics have garnered tremendous attention and are expected to replace lead-based ceramics in the near ***,the energy density of lead-free ceramics is still lagging behind that of lead-containing ***,severely limiting their *** efforts have been made to enhance the energy storage performance of lead-free ceramics using multi-scale design strategies,and exciting progress has been achieved in the past *** review briefly discusses the energy storage mechanism and fundamental characteristics of a dielectric capacitor,summarizes and compares the state-of-the-art design strategies for high-energy-density lead-free ceramics,and highlights several critical issues and requirements for industrial *** prospects and challenges of lead-free ceramics for energy storage applications are also discussed.

Garnet and Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Geochemistry Reveal Genesis of the Dafang Au-Pb-Zn-Ag Deposit,Southern Hunan

Garnet is a primary mineral in skarn deposits and plays a significant role in recording copious mineralization and metallogenic *** study systematically investigates the geochemistry and geochronology of garnet and zircon in the Dafang Au-Pb-Zn-Ag deposit,which represents prominent gold mineralization in southern Hunan,*** samples with distinct zoning patterns and compositional variations were identified using various analytical techniques,including Backscattered Electron(BSE)imaging,Cathodoluminescence(CL)response,textural characterization,and analysis of rare-earth elements(REE),major contents,and trace element *** garnet was dated U-Pb dating,which yielded a lower intercept age of 161.06±1.93 *** age is older than the underlying granodiorite porphyry,which has a concordia age of 155.13±0.95 ma determined by zircon U-Pb *** results suggest that the gold mineralization may be related to the concealed *** groups of garnet changed from depleted Al garnet to enriched Al garnet,and the rare earth element(REE)patterns of these groups were converted from light REE(LREE)-enriched and heavy REE(HREE)-depleted with positive europium(Eu)anomalies to medium REE(mREE)-enriched from core to rim *** different REE patterns of garnet in various zones may be attributed to changes in the fluid environment and late superposition *** development of distal skarn in the southern Hunan could be a significant indicator for identifying gold mineralization.

Global Dynamics of a Kawasaki Disease Vascular Endothelial Cell Injury model with Backward Bifurcation and Hopf Bifurcation

Kawasaki disease（KD） is an acute, febrile, systemic vasculitis that mainly affects children under five years of age. In this paper, we propose and study a class of 5-dimensional ordinary differential equation model describing the vascular endothelial cell injury in the lesion area of KD. This model exhibits forward/backward bifurcation. It is shown that the vascular injury-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable if the basic reproduction number R0mptotic stability of the vascular injury-free equilibrium, which can be applied to both the forward and backward bifurcation cases. In addition, the local and global asymptotic stability of the vascular injury equilibria and the presence of Hopf bifurcation are studied. It is also shown that the model is permanent if the basic reproduction number R0> 1, and some explicit analytic expressions of ultimate lower bounds of the solutions of the model are *** results suggest that the control of vascular injury in the lesion area of KD is not only correlated with the basic reproduction number R0, but also with the growth rate of normal vascular endothelial cells promoted by the vascular endothelial growth factor.

Nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining of difficult-to-cut materials and components in aerospace community:a comparative analysis

The aerospace community widely uses difficult-to-cut materials,such as titanium alloys,high-temperature alloys,metal/ceramic/polymer matrix composites,hard and brittle materials,and geometrically complex components,such as thin-walled structures,microchannels,and complex *** machining is the main material removal process for the vast majority of aerospace ***,many problems exist,including severe and rapid tool wear,low machining efficiency,and poor surface *** energy-assisted mechanical machining is a hybrid process that uses nontraditional energies(vibration,laser,electricity,etc)to improve the machinability of local materials and decrease the burden of mechanical *** provides a feasible and promising method to improve the material removal rate and surface quality,reduce process forces,and prolong tool ***,systematic reviews of this technology are lacking with respect to the current research status and development *** paper reviews the recent progress in the nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining of difficult-to-cut materials and components in the aerospace *** addition,this paper focuses on the processing principles,material responses under nontraditional energy,resultant forces and temperatures,material removal mechanisms,and applications of these processes,including vibration-,laser-,electric-,magnetic-,chemical-,advanced coolant-,and hybrid nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical ***,a comprehensive summary of the principles,advantages,and limitations of each hybrid process is provided,and future perspectives on forward design,device development,and sustainability of nontraditional energy-assisted mechanical machining processes are discussed.

■-dressing method for the Coupled Two-component Kundu-Eckhaus Equations

In this paper,■-dressing method based on a local 3×3 matrix ■-problem with non-normalization boundary conditions is used to investigate coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus ***,we propose a new compatible system with singular dispersion relation,that is time spectral problem and spatial spectral problem of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations via constraint ***,we derive a hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations by introducing a recursive *** last,by solving constraint matrixes,a spectral transform matrix is given which is sufficiently important for finding soliton solutions of potential function,and we obtain N-soliton solutions of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations.

Asymptotic Behavior of Singular Solution to the k-Hessian Equation with a matukuma-Type Source

This paper is concerned with radially positive solutions of the k-Hessian equation involving a matukuma-type source S_(k)(D^(2)(-φ))=|x|^(λ-2)/(1+|x|^(2))^(λ2)φ^(q),x∈Ω,where S_(k)(D^(2)(-φ))is the k-Hessian operator,q>k>1,λ>0,n>2k,k∈N,andΩis a suitable bounded do-main in R~*** turns out that there are two different types of radially positive solutions for k>1,i.e.,m-solution(singular at r=0)and Esolution(regular at r=0),which is distinct from the case when k=*** 1mprove accuracy of asymptotic expansions of m-solution step by step to the desired *** contrast to the case k=1,we require a more precise range of parameters due to repeated application of Taylor expansions,which also makes asymptotic expansions need more delicate investigation.
