Genetic expression of Col-2A and Col-10A as a function of administration of IGF-1 &TGF-<i>β</i>with and without anterior mandibular repositioning appliance on the growth of mandibular condylar cartilage in young rabbit

New Zealand (NZ) young rabbits with the administration of insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) with and without mandibular anterior repositioning appliances are explored for the growth of the mandibular condylar cartilage (MCC). 32 growing NZ and rabbits were divided into 4 groups: the group with saline injection in TMJ, the group which received growth factor injection in TMJ, the group which received anterior positioning appliance and the group which received growth factors injection as well as mandibular repositioning appliance. Gene expression was studied by real-time RT-pCR and cartilage growth by histomorphometry. Administration of growth factors along with mandibular repositioning appliances has induced 1) 1.70-fold expression of Col-2Agene (p value pression of Col-10Agene (p value positioning appliances induced 1) 1.28-fold expression of Col-2Agene (p value pression of Col-10Agene (p value pression of Col-2Agene (p value 10A gene (p value growth factors along with mandibular repositioning appliances causes an increase in genetic expressions which have been corroborated by histomorphometry and validated by statistical analysis, during an accelerated growth of mandibular condylar cartilage. Administration of growth factors in the TMJ could provide a synergistic role along with mandibular repositioning appliances for treatment of mandibular retrognathism as well as disorders on the MCC.

preliminary results of our study related to simultaneous waste water purification by photocatalytic degradation of organic impurity (Methylene Blue dye) and its effects on seed germination are presented here. It is interesting and important to know that complete degradation of the dye occurs within 2 hours and does not adversely affect the seed germination process. It is concluded that waste water purification by photocatalysis and seed germination (agriculture) can be carried out simultaneously, opening a way for advanced agriculture.

Jamun(Syzygium cumini Skeels)is a nutritious fruit and has historically been used as both as an edible and a traditional *** jamun seed is an inedible by-product of the ***,their high concentration of phytochemicals makes them valuable components of *** studies on diverse biological activities of jamun seeds have warranted their application in human health and biomedical *** review paper discusses critically the phytochemical composition of jamun seeds and the bioactivities,including their antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer,antidiabetic,anti-microbial,anti-obesity,hepato-protective,cardio and gastro-protective *** bioactivity of jamun seed is related to the presence of phenols,flavonoids,steroids,alkaloids,triterpenoids,tannins,and *** research in vivo,and in vitro experiments with human and animal cell models support the idea that jamun seed extract can be valuable additions in food and biomedical fields due to the diverse bio-functional ***,in-depth and systematic in vivo clinical trials using human subjects must be conducted to confirm the safe consumption limit and establish other therapeutic roles of jamun seeds for their abundant utilization as a nutraceutical or pharmacological ***,research is required to understand the exact mechanisms of the bioactivities exhibited by jamun seeds.
