LoRa Sense:Sensing and Optimization of LoRa Link Behavior Using Path-Loss Models in Open-Cast Mines

The Internet of Things(IoT)has orchestrated various domains in numerous applications,contributing significantly to the growth of the smart world,even in regions with low literacy rates,boosting socio-economic *** study provides valuable insights into optimizing wireless communication,paving the way for a more connected and productive future in the mining *** IoT revolution is advancing across industries,but harsh geometric environments,including open-pit mines,pose unique challenges for reliable *** advent of IoT in the mining industry has significantly improved communication for critical operations through the use of Radio Frequency(RF)protocols such as Bluetooth,Wi-Fi,GSM/GPRS,Narrow Band(NB)-IoT,SigFox,ZigBee,and Long Range Wireless Area Network(LoRaWAN).This study addresses the optimization of network implementations by comparing two leading free-spreading IoT-based RF protocols such as ZigBee and *** field tests are conducted in various opencast mines to investigate coverage potential and signal *** is tested in the Tadicherla open-cast coal mine in ***,LoRaWAN field tests are conducted at one of the associated cement companies(ACC)in the limestone mine in Bargarh,India,covering both Indoor-toOutdoor(I2O)and Outdoor-to-Outdoor(O2O)environments.A robust framework of path-loss models,referred to as Free space,Egli,Okumura-Hata,Cost231-Hata and Ericsson models,combined with key performance metrics,is employed to evaluate the patterns of signal *** field testing and careful data analysis revealed that the Egli model is the most consistent path-loss model for the ZigBee protocol in an I2O environment,with a coefficient of determination(R^(2))of 0.907,balanced error metrics such as Normalized Root Mean Square Error(NRMSE)of 0.030,Mean Square Error(MSE)of 4.950,Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)of 0.249 and Scatter Index(SI)of *** the O2O scenario,the Ericsson model

Effect of elevated [CO_2] and nutrient management on wet and dry season rice production in subtropical India

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of elevated [CO_2] with varying nutrient management on rice–rice production system. The experiment was conducted in the open field and inside open-top chambers(OTCs) of ambient [CO_2](≈ 390 μmol L-1) and elevated [CO_2] environment(25% above ambient) during wet and dry seasons in 2011–2013at Kharagpur, India. The nutrient management included recommended doses of N, P, and K as chemical fertilizer(CF), integration of chemical and organic sources, and application of increased(25% higher) doses of CF. The higher [CO_2] level in the OTC increased aboveground biomass but marginally decreased filled grains per panicle and grain yield of rice, compared to the ambient environment. However, crop root biomass was increased significantly under elevated [CO_2]. With respect to nutrient management, increasing the dose of CF increased grain yield significantly in both seasons. At the recommended dose of nutrients, integrated nutrient management was comparable to CF in the wet season, but significantly inferior in the dry season, in its effect on growth and yield of rice. The [CO_2] elevation in OTC led to a marginal increase in organic C and available P content of soil, but a decrease in available N content. It was concluded that increased doses of nutrients via integration of chemical and organic sources in the wet season and chemical sources alone in the dry season will minimize the adverse effect of future climate on rice production in subtropical India.

Re-estimation and comparisons of alternative accounting based bankruptcy prediction models for Indian companies

Trap and 1/f-noise effects at the surface and core of GaN nanowire gateall-around FET structure

Using capacitance,conductance and noise measurements,we investigate the trapping behavior at the surface and in the core of triangular-shaped one-dimensional (1 D) array of GaN nanowire gate-all-around field effect transistor (GAA FET),fabricated via a top-down *** surface traps in such a low dimensional device play a crucial role in determining the device *** estimated surface trap density rapidly decreases with increasing frequency,ranging from 6.07 × 1012 cm-2·eV-1 at 1 kHz to 1.90 × 1011 cm-2·eV-1 at 1 MHz,*** noise results reveal that the power spectral density increases with gate voltage and clearly exhibits 1/f-noise signature in the accumulation region (Vgs > Vth =3.4 V) for all *** the surface depletion region (1.5 V < Vgs < Vth),the device is governed by 1/fat lower frequencies and 1/f2 noise at frequencies higher than ~ 5 *** 1/f2 noise characteristics is attributed to additional generation-recombination (G-R),mostly caused by the electron trapping/detrapping process through deep traps located in the surface depletion region of the *** cutoff frequency for the 1/f2 noise characteristics further shifts to lower frequency of 102-103 Hz when the device operates in deep-subthreshold region (Vgs < 1.5 V).In this regime,the electron trapping/detrapping process through deep traps expands into the totally depleted nanowire core and the G-R noise prevails in the entire nanowire channel.

Objective:（1） To evaluate the diagnostic value of CT morphology on the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant thyroid nodule （2） To evaluate the diagnostic value of iodine concentration on the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant thyroid nodule. （3） To evaluate the diagnostic value of DE spectral curve on the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant thyroid ***:Among total of 108 cases of thyroid nodule found between year 2013 to 2015 from first affiliated hospital of Kunming medical university, included 72 malignant and 36 benign cases。 All the patients included for study of thyroid nodule either benign or malignant underwent DE-CT plain scan of the thyroid region in the neck. All nodules were confirmed by pathology, and with the diameter greater than 0.5 cm. On conventional CT images, analyzing the nodular morphology, including size, edge, margin, capsule and *** nodules with undefined margin, irregular edge, incomplete capsule and small calcification were being diagnosed as malignant, and vice versa as benign nodules. Measuring iodine concentration on DECT iodine maps and obtaining monoenergetic curve to calculate spectrum curve slope. Comparing with the pathological result, analyzing the accuracy of morphology, iodine concentration and energy spectral curve in the identification of benign and malignant nodules. Evaluating the diagnosis efficiency of maximum iodine concentration and spectral curve by ROC ***:In total of 108 cases found during our retrospective cases analysis, included 72 thyroid nodules were malignant and 36 were benign cases of which 65 females and 43 males were found. The mean age was around 48 years or ***:（1）Diameter （Edge and capsule）:The thyroid nodules which showed irregular and incomplete surface diameter with edge and capsule indicating malignant nodule and with complete and regular edge, capsule as benign nodule. The development of flexible and wearable devices is mainly required for tactile sensing;as such devices can adapt to complicated nonuniform surfaces,they can be applied to the human ***,it remains necessary to simultaneously achieve small-scale,portable,and stable developments in such ***,this work aims at fabricating a novel,lightweight,ultra-flexible,and fiber-shaped coaxial structure with a diameter of 0.51 mm using polydimethylsiloxane/graphene/nylon material,based on piezoresistive and triboelectric *** piezoresistive-based robotic-hand-controlled sensor thus realized exhibits a response time of 120 ms and a fast recovery time of 55 ***,the piezoresistive-based sensors effectively feature whisker/joystick-guided behaviors and also sense the human finger *** to the triboelectric-based selfpowered nanogenerator behavior,the resulting sensor can convert mechanical motion into electrical energy,without adversely affecting human ***,this triboelectric-based human finger sensor can be operated under different bending modes at specific ***,this multifunctional sensor is cost-effective and suitable for various applications,including robotichand-controlled operations in medical surgery,whisker/joystick motions in lightweight drone technology,and navigation with highsensitivity components.

Modeling of double ridge waveguide using ANN

The ridge waveguide is useful in various microwave applications because it can be operated at a lower frequency and has lower impedance and a wider mode separation than a simple rectangular waveguide. An accurate model is essential for the analysis and design of ridge waveguide that can be obtained using electromag- netic simulations. However, the electromagnetic simula- tion is expensive for its high computational cost. Therefore, artificial neural networks （ANNs） become very useful especially when several model evaluations are required during design and optimization. Recently, ANNs have been used for solving a wide variety of radio frequency （RF） and microwave computer-aided design （CAD） problems. Analysis and design of a double ridge waveguide has been presented in this paper using ANN forward and inverse models. For the analysis, a simple ANN forward model is used where the inputs are geometrical parameters and the outputs are electrical parameters. For the design of RF and microwave components, an inverse model is used where the inputs are electrical parameters and the outputs are geometrical parameters. This paper also presents a comparison of the direct inverse model and the proposed inverse model.
