This paper presents the fabrication,characterization and numerical simulation of poly-3-hexylthiophene(P3HT)-based bottom-gate bottom-contact(BGBC)organic thin film transistors(OTFTs).The simulation is based on a drift diffusion charge transport model and density of defect states(DOS)for the traps in the band gap of the P3HT based *** combines two mobility models,a hopping mobility model and the Poole-Frenkel mobility *** also describes the defect density of states(DOS)for both tail and deep *** model takes into account all the operating regions of the OTFT and includes sub-threshold and above threshold characteristics of *** model has been verified by comparing the numerically simulated results with the experimental *** model is also used to simulate different structure in four configurations of OTFT ***-gate bottom-contact(BGBC),bottom-gate top-contact(BGTC),top-gate bottom-contact(TGBC)and top-gate top-contact(TGTC)configurations of the *** also present the compact modeling and model parameter extraction of the P3HT-based *** extracted compact model has been further applied in a p-channel OTFT-based inverter and three stage ring oscillator circuit simulation.

A 35 years old female presented to us after falling from a height. She complained of a neck pain and a complete quadriplegia and was diagnosed as having spondyloptosis of the C6-C7. Skeletal traction was performed on her. CT scan showed fractures of the C5, C6, and C7 vertebral body. The patient underwent anterior approach partial corpectomy with anterior cervical locking plate and strut grafting from ipsilateral iliac crest. Intraoperatively it was found that the disc was completely ruptured and there was a dural tear and cerebrospinal fluid leak. Her postoperative period was complicated by cerebrospinal fluid collection and posterior instrumentation was not performed due to the poor general condition. She had no neural recovery at the last follow-up. Spondyloptosis is a severe and highly unstable injury with a three column ligamentous disruption and may be complicated, as in our case, with a dural *** of these cases is fraught with complications,and prognosis for neural recovery is dismal.

Bovine tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic debilitating disease of huge economic importance due to loss in production, morbidity and mortality, and has a potential zoonotic threat. TB is endemic in India and has a worldwide prevalence, therefore, needing early diagnostic technique for the eradication of TB globally. Currently, compared to the eradication programme of TB in Medical sector, Veterinary sector is lagging behind though TB is one of the major zoonotic diseases prevalent in dairy animals and wildlife in India. With the “End TB” strategy by WHO in human, parallel measures for early diagnosis and culling has to be followed in case of animals for an overall successful eradication programme. The objective of this study is diagnosis of TB in cattle and buffaloes by using the cell-mediated immune response tests, i.e. Comparative Intradermal Tuberculin Test (CITT) and Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) assay, and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) targeting esxB gene (CFP-10 protein) and to compare their diagnostic capabilities. This study was carried out in 202 dairy cattle and buffaloes from an organized dairy farm, where almost all of the animals appeared clinically healthy. We found that, the combined use of both CITT and IFN-γ assay lead to more accurate diagnosis of TB, although IFN-γ assay was more specific than CITT. However, esxB PCR showed almost similar sensitivity to IFN-γ assay and may be used as a fast alternative method for the diagnosis of bovine TB from blood samples.

OFDM (Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) in the optical domain is a promising technology which provides solutions to problems of today’s optical networks. In the present research an optical OFDM system is designed using different modulation techniques QPSK (quadrature phase shift keying), QAM (quadrature amplitude Modulation). Various signal conditioning parameters, like OSNR (optical signal to noise ratio), BER (bit error rate), chromatic dispersion and electrical SNR (signal to noise ratio) have been reported in present research. These parameters could be used for identifying the fault. On the basis of conclusion drawn for values of these parameters, the system may dynamically adapt and reconfigure itself for better transmission. In present research OPTSIM and MATLAB has been used as Simulation tools.

The use of immunohistochemical techniques has enhanced the diagnostic intensities in pathology. The sensitivity and specificity of any immunohistochemical protocol mainly depends on the ability to unmask antigen from formalin fixed tissue. Various combinations of antigen retrieval protocols have been used to unmask antigen efficiently but none has been established as a flawless one. These protocols either have one or the other lacunae, lacking repeatability under same conditions. In our study, we tried to develop a standardized immunohistochemical protocol for the identification of blood and lymphatic vessels in tissue sections of canine mammary tumour (CMT) using recently identified markers. The combined effects of antigen retrieval (AR) methods including pH shock by Heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) and Protease-induced epitope retrieval (PIER) were found highly effective in retrieval of tedious antigens of lymphangiogenesis and angiogenesis. The use of combined antigen retrieval technique for the unmasking of antigens from over fixed, old formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) canine mammary tumour sections resulted in efficient unmasking of epitopes when compared with the individual antigen retrieval methods.

In this research paper,we utilized the traditional high-temperature solid-state reaction method to fabricate the K_(0.495)Na_(0.520)NbO_(3),K_(0.480)Na_(0.535)NbO_(3)and K_(0.475)Na_(0.540)NbO_(3)(abbreviated as KNN-1,KNN-2,and KNN-3,respectively)lead-free ion deficient ceramics for understanding the influence of ionic deficiency on the crystalline structure and dielectric/piezoelectric properties of the samples.X-ray diffraction patterns of these samples exhibited a perovskite tetragonal *** anomalies around 287℃and 471℃were identified as ferroelectric to ferroelectric and ferroelectric to paraelectric-transition temperatures for KNN-2 at 1 *** was found that the composition KNN-2 exhibit relatively high Curie temperature i.e.,471℃.The conductivity plots confirm that the activation energies are *** impedance behavior in our ceramic samples can be analyzed with the bulk/grain *** slope of Z′with temperature shows negative temperature coefficient of resistance(NTCR)type behavior in proposed KNN ceramics material.

Catheter is commonly used by the surgeons for various reasons in the treatment of a patient suffering with cardiovascular diseases. Catheterization increases the mean flow resistance in the arterial blood flow and many other complications are associated with the presence of catheter in the artery. Effects of catheter in stenosed artery can be estimated non-invasively by means of hemo-dynamic indicator-WSS, WSSG, volume flow rate and impedance. The effect of slip at the arterial wall, inclination of the artery and magnetic field on the hemodynamic indicators and flow profiles are computed, presented and discussed through graphs.

Effect of Chronic Supplementation of Branched Chain Amino Acids on Exercise-Induced Muscle Damage in Trained Athletes

PURPOSE： Branched Chain Amino Acids （BCAA） has been considered an important nutritional strategy to improve skeletal muscle protein turnover in many conditions especially following exercise induced muscle damage. Exercise induced muscle damage （EIMD）, a phenomenon impairs muscle function and hampers athletic performance. The effects of consumption of BCAA for a chronic period （4 weeks） on EIMD in trained athletic population have never been explored. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to examine the effects of chronic consumption （4 weeks） of BCAA on indices of muscle damage elicited via a bout of damaging exercise in trained athletes. METHODS： Twenty trained males （20 road cyclists） aged 18-28 years were randomly assigned to two groups （BCAA and Placebo）（n = 10）. The damaging exercise consisted of 100 consecutive drop-jumps. Biochemical markers including creatine kinase （CK）, high sensitivity c reactive protein （hs-cRP） and myeloperoxidase （MPO）, isometric knee muscle strength, muscle soreness, aerobic capacity （WO2max） and heart rate （HR） were measured. RESULTS： Differences were observed in pre-and post-supplementation periods among all the participants with mean height and weight values of 168.57 （4.5） cm and 61.74 （4.55） kg respectively as calculated by the anthropologist randomly allocated to the two groups in all tested parameters indicating the effectiveness of BCAA in attenuating muscle damage and enhancing muscle recovery with chronic consumption when compared to placebo, however in contrast to our expectations based on symptoms and our clinical judgment during the study statistically significant difference （P 〈 0.05） were noticed with biochemical indices only. CONCLUSION： Our findings suggest that chronic BCAA supplementation proved to be an effective meansof reducing muscle damage, enhancing muscle protein synthesis and recovery following EIMD as compared to placebo in well trained athletic population.

Physio-pathology of induced endotoxaemia in bovine and its treatment regimen

Endotoxic shock was induced in five apparently healthy male buffalo calves by i.v infusion of Escherichia coli endotoxin at 5microgram/kilogram (μg/Kg) body weight/hour (BW/hr) for 3 hours. Endotoxin infusion caused clinical signs of restlessness, respiratory distress, snoring, diarrhoea, profuse salivation along with the significant hypoproteinemia, hypoalbuminemia and hypokalemia in all the animals. The animals were observed up to day 4 or death, whichever was earlier. The treatment with one time intravenous infusion of hypertonic saline solution @ 4milliliter/Kilogram body weight (ml/Kg?BW), dextran-40 @ 10 ml/Kg?BW, flunixin meglumine @ 1.1 milligram/Kg?BW (mg/Kg?BW) and blood @ 20 ml/Kg?BW to these animals alleviated the clinical signs and significantly raised the circulating glucose level at 4.5 and 5.5 hrs. The treatment led to survival of three of the five endotoxemic buffalo calves. The significant hypoproteinemia, hypoalbuminemia, hypokalemia and hypoglobulinemia continued even after treatment. Gross and histopathologic findings of congestion, haemorrhage, necrosis in vital organs viz., lungs, liver, kidneys, brain and intestines were suggestive of endotoxin induced hypoxia and multi-organ failure. Additionally, emphysema and fibrinous thrombi in microvasculature of lungs were salient histopathological findings indicating terminal respiratory failure in the remaining two dead endotoxemic buffalo calves. From clinical signs, plasma chemistry and pathological lesions, it was concluded that endotoxemia led to a disruption of critical life processes, but a timely and effective treatment could counter these deleterious effects and save precious lives.

Objective:To assess the prevalence of Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)and associated risk factors in the swine population of ***:A total of 432 swine serum and blood samples were collected from Barpeta and Sonitpur districts of Assam and were screened for the presence of JEV *** related to risk factors was collected using a self-designed questionnaire from 120 swine-rearing ***-mixed models were used for prevalence *** and multivariate regression models were constructed to evaluate the association of demography,season and management practices with JEV positive ***:Overall,the JEV infection prevalence was 51.6%at farm and 47.1%at slaughter *** analysis of partial sequence of envelope gene of two positive field samples revealed that both isolates belonged to genotypeⅢ*** 1 shared a common clade with human isolates while isolate 2 belonged to the same clade as that of other JEV swine strain isolated from *** final multivariate model showed that two factors including monsoon season(Adjusted OR 5.6;95%CI 2.1-14.9;P<0.001)and water logging in the area near the pig shelter(Adjusted OR 16.9;95%CI 6.1-47.3;P<0.001)were associated with greater odds of swine being infected with ***:High prevalence of JEV in swine population of Assam state indicates a significant risk of virus transmission to humans while risk factor study underlines the urgent need for awareness campaigns in the Assam.
