AIM: To evaluate the use of translumenal pancreatography with placement of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS)-guided drainage of the pancreatic ***: This study enrolled all consecutive patients between June 2002 and April 2014 who underwent EUSguided pancreatography and subsequent placement of a drain and had symptomatic retention of fluid in the pancreatic duct after one or more previous unsuccessful attempts at endoscopic retrograde cannulation of the pancreatic duct. In all,94 patients underwent 111 interventions with one of three different approaches:(1) EUS-endoscopic retrograde drainage with a rendezvous technique;(2) EUS-guided drainage of the pancreatic duct; and(3) EUS-guided,internal,antegrade drainage of the pancreatic ***: The mean duration of the interventions was 21 min(range,15-69 min). Mean patient age was 54 years(range,28-87 years); the M:F sex ratio was 60:34. The technical success rate was 100%,achieving puncture of the pancreatic duct including pancreatography in 94/94 patients. In patients requiring drainage,initial placement of a drain wassuccessful in 47/83 patients(56.6%). Of these,26 patients underwent transgastric/transbulbar positioning of a stent for retrograde drainage; plastic prostheses were used in 11 and metal stents in 12. A ring drain(antegrade internal drainage) was placed in three of these 26 patients because of anastomotic stenosis after a previous surgical intervention. The remaining 21 patients with successful drain placement had transpapillary drains using the rendezvous technique; the majority(n = 19) received plastic prostheses,and only two received metal stents(covered self-expanding metal stents). The median follow-up time in the 21 patients with transpapillary drainage was 28 mo(range,1-79 mo),while that of the 26 patients with successful transgastric/transduodenal drainage was 9.5 mo(range,1-82 mo). This work details new insights into the in-process densification mechanism of cold spray Al coatings. The results show a trend counter to common observations: coating plastic deformation levels and coating density decreases with an increase in particle impact velocity. A lower particle impact velocity and the consequent lower deposition efficiency(DE) results in greater tamping energy per unit volume of deposit,which is the primary reason for the observed trend. This is the first time that DE has been shown to have a non-linear impact on the density of a cold spray coating, with particle in-process tamping being the primary mechanism for coating densification.

With most accidents being due to human mistakes,autonomous vehicles appear to be the future of personal *** that most recent vehicles are instrumented enough because of driving assistances,one of the first thing to take care of for autonomous applications is the trajectory *** way to approach this matter is to use active steering but this paper will feature a controller that also uses the 4 in wheel motors of the Electric Vehicle（EV）to generate a yaw moment in order to achieve better *** order to achieve this control,a 3 degree of freedom（DOF）vehicle model has been simulated in the MATLAB/SIMULINK *** get good control performances and easily constraint the system,an MPC Controller incorporating the developped 3DOF vehicle model has been *** test the controller’s ability to follow the desired path two models were taken on two different *** first model uses MPC to control the active steering of the vehicle while the other with identical settings when applicable also controls the yaw moment generated using torque *** of these two controllers managed to follow the path on a line change maneuver and a sharp sine-shaped chain of *** of the two strategies used,the one giving the best results was the second controller using torque distribution,it reduced the delay between the command and the reaching of the position but also had a smaller overall *** difference for the first test was small because the maneuver didn’t require advanced control but the second one showed a bigger difference between the two ***,there is still work to be done to change the approach made by the MPC controller and reduce the tire wear and the somehow consequent use of the external yaw *** control strategy used in this paper is a first step towards advanced performance for path tracking applications and towards fully autonomous vehicles.

The oxidative pentose-phosphate pathway （OPPP） represents a central branch of cellular metabolism emanating from glucose-6-phosphate （G6P） to provide reductive power （NADPH） and sugar phosphates for anabolic biosyntheses. In plant cells, the oxidative OPPP branch is found in the cytosol and in plastids, consisting of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase （G6PD）, 6-phosphogluconolactonase （PGL）, and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase （6PGD）. These enzymes are encoded by small gene families in the nuclear genome, which, in Arabidopsis, comprise six G6PD, five 6-PGL, and three 6-PGD isoforms （Kruger and von Schaewen, 2003）. Specific targeting motifs at the C-terminus of 6-PGL and 6-PGD isoforms suggested that the OPPP may also occur in peroxisomes （Reumann et al., 2004）.

Efficiency of sample-based indices for spatial pattern recognition of wild pistachio(Pistacia atlantica) trees in semi-arid woodlands

The efficiency of sample-based indices proposed to quantify the spatial distribution of trees is influenced by the structure of tree stands, environmental heterogeneity and degree of aggregation. We evaluated 10 commonly used distance-based and 10 density-based indices using two structurally different stands of wild pistachio trees in the Zagros woodlands, Iran, to assess the reliability of each in revealing stand structure in woodlands. All trees were completely stem-mapped in a nearly pure（40 ha） and a mixed（45 ha） stand. First, the inhomogeneous pair correlation function [g（r）] and the Clark-Evans index（CEI） were used as references to reveal the true spatial arrangement of all trees in these stands. The sampled data were then evaluated using the 20 *** was undertaken in a grid based on a square lattice using square plots（30 m 9 30 m） and nearest neighbor distances at the sample points. The g（r） and CEI statistics showed that the wild pistachio trees were aggregated in both stands, although the degree of aggregation was markedly higher in the pure stand. Three distance- and six density-based indices statistically verified that the wild pistachio trees were aggregated in both stands. The distance-based Hines and Hines statistic（ht） and the densitybased standardised Morisita（Ip）, patchiness（IP） and Cassie（CA） indices revealed aggregation of the trees in the two structurally different stands in the Zagros woodlands and the higher clumping in the pure stand, whereas the other indices were not sensitive enough.

This review summarizes a few of the frontiers of Galactic center research that are currently the focus of considerable activity and attention. It is aimed at pro- viding a necessarily incomplete sketch of some of the timely work being done on phenomena taking place in, or originating in, the central few parsecs of the Galaxy, with particular attention to topics related to the Galactic black hole （GBH）. We have chosen to expand on the following exciting topics： 1） the characterization and the im- plications for the variability of emission from the GBH, 2） the strong evidence for a powerful X-ray flare in the Galactic center within the past few hundred years, and the likelihood that the GBH is implicated in that event, 3） the prospects for detecting the ＂shadow＂ of the GBH, 4） an overview of the current state of research on the central S-star cluster, and what has been learned from the stellar orbits within that cluster, and 5） the current hypotheses for the origin of the G2 dust cloud that is projected to make a close passage by the GBH in 2013.
