Highly specific interactions between biomolecules,such as antigen-antibody,protein-ligand,or nucleic acid base pair complementary are on the basis of the organization of complex *** same principles may be tentatively used in molecular medicine for diagnosis and therapeutics.A molecule can be designed to selectively bind a protease and thereby inhibit the production of a peptide that forms toxic aggregates in the brain or an antibody may be produced to bind specifically to that peptide for detection or clearance ***,interference in biological systems is not that *** a start there is the inhibition of the physiological role of the protease;moreover,several cleavage fragments may be produced,which may continue to diverge due to putative post-translational modification and self-assembly processes,hiding the toxic target in a“soup”of peptide species varying in size,structure and chemical composition.A perspective of the current status and challenges in targeting peptide species for diagnosis and treatment in the context of Alzheimer’s disease is given.

AIM:To investigate the effects of exogenous testosterone treatment on the choroidal parameters in patients with androgen ***:Right eyes of 24 patients with androgen deficiency and 31 healthy volunteers were included in the *** eyes were scanned for subfoveal choroidal thickness(sFCT),choroidal vascularity index(CVI),choroidstromal area(C-sA),choroid-luminal area(C-LA),choroidstromal to luminal area ratio(CsLR),and the choroidal parameters within central 1500μm of the macula(CVI1500,C-LA1500,C-sA1500,and CsLR1500)by enhanced-depth imaging optical coherence tomography(EDI-OCT)at baseline,6th and 18th weeks of the exogenous testosterone ***:The mean sFCT values of the androgen deficient groups and healthy controls were 307.7±27.0 and 303.2±37.2μm(P=0.8).However,CVI,C-sA,CsLR,CVI1500,C-LA1500,and CsLR1500 were significantly different between the groups(all Psit after exogenous testosterone treatment,sFCT,CVI,C-LA,and C-sA were significantly decreased,and these parameters returned to baseline levels at the 18th-week visit(all P>0.05).However,CVI1500 and LA1500 significantly increased at the end of the follow-up period(PsION:CVI is lower in androgen-deficient patients than in healthy *** alterations in the choroid during the testosterone peak are transient in the treatment of patients with androgen ***,the increase in CVI within the central 1500μm of the macula persists even after 4mo.

Within the framework of nonrelativistic-QCD factorization,we calculate both the next-to-leading-order relativistic and QCD corrections to prompt J/ψpair production,with feed-down fromψ(2s)mesons,via photon-photon collisions at future e^(+)e^(−)colliders,including the Future Circular Lepton Collider(FCC-ee),the Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC),and the Compact Linear Collider(CLIC).We present total cross sections and distributions in single J/ψtransverse momentum and rapidity,as well as in J/ψpair invariant *** relativistic and QCD corrections both turn out to be large and ***,the production rates are large enough for useful experimental studies.

This paper introduces a framework of in-out duality, merging insights from quantum mechanics with social sciences to illuminate the complex interplay between internal potentialities and external manifestations. It articulates foundational, mathematical axioms (Entanglement, Homogeneity, Emergence, and Measurement) that underpin the dynamics of systems, emphasizing the interconnectedness and emergent behaviors resulting from internal and external interactions. By exploring quantum concepts like coherence, entanglement, and superposition, the paper proposes an interdisciplinary approach termed Quantum social Mechanics. This approach challenges classical paradigms, advocating for a reevaluation of conventional notions through the lens of quantum principles. The paper argues that understanding the universe’s complexities requires a synthesis of motion states and potential states, suggesting a paradigm shift towards integrating quantum mechanics into the philosophical foundation of social theory. Through this comprehensive framework, the paper aims to foster a deeper understanding of the universe’s interconnected nature and the dynamic processes that govern the emergence of complex systems and behaviors.

Despite the engineering potential by the co-existence of inorganic and organic substances to protect vulnerable metallic materials from corrosive environments,both their interaction and in-situ formation mechanism to induce the nature-inspired composite remained less *** present work used three distinctive mercaptobenzazole(MB)compounds working as corrosion inhibitors,such as 2-mercaptobenzoxazole(MBO),2-mercaptobenzothiazole(MBT),and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole(MBI)in a bid to understand how the geometrical structure arising from O,s,and N atoms affected the interaction toward inorganic *** compounds that were used here to control the corrosion kinetics would be interacted readily with the pre-existing MgO layer fabricated by plasma *** phenomenon triggered the nucleation of the root network since MB compounds were seen to be adsorbed actively on the defective surface through the active sites in MB ***,the molecule with twin donor atoms adjacent to the mercapto-sites affected the facile growth of the grass-like structures with‘uniform’distribution via molecular self-assembly,which showed better corrosion performance than those with having dissimilar donor atoms with the inhibition efficiency(η)of 97%*** formation mechanism underlying nucleation and growth behavior of MB molecule was discussed concerning the theoretical calculation of density functional theory.

schisandrae chinensis Fructus (sF) is a commonly used herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to TCM theory, sF can invigorate Qi in the liver and other visceral organs through the meridian system. Furthermore, the liver’s pivotal role in regulating the functions of various visceral organs helps explain how sF can promote holistic health benefits. The main active ingredient of sF, schisandrin B (sch B), has been found to improve mitochondrial ATP production and enhance glutathione redox status in multiple organs. This could account for the overall protective effects of sch B on organs. Due to its stronger impact on liver function, the positive influence of sch B on different organs may be facilitated by signal molecules originating from the liver.

The Essential Role of Zheng Qi in Promoting Health: From the Perspective of Chinese Medicine and Modern Medicine

The concept of Zheng Qi in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) refers to the vital energy produced by the interaction of Yin and Yang forces in the body. Zheng Qi performs two main functions: Wei Qi (defensive Qi), which shields the body from external pathogens, and Ying Qi (nutritive Qi), which sustains the internal organs and enhances their functionality. In TCM, Chinese tonifying herbs can help restore the balance of Yin/Yang and Qi/Blood function in visceral organs (i.e., optimal physiological functions), thereby fostering the efficient production of Zheng Qi and enhancing health. To ensure the quality of Chinese herbal products, functional assays to measure Yin/Yang, Qi/Blood functions, and Zheng Qi production should be implemented. The efficacy of Yang and Qi herbs can be evaluated by their ability to increase mitochondrial ATP in cultured mouse cardiomyocytes, while Yin and Blood herbs are tested through their immunostimulatory effects on antigen-induced T/B cell proliferation in mouse splenocytes and the production of erythropoietin/nitric oxide in hepatocytes/vascular endothelial cells, respectively. Additionally, Zheng Qi’s effect can be gauged by examining natural killer cell activity and antigen-induced T/B cell proliferation in mice ex vivo. These assays act as biomarkers for assessing the quality and effectiveness of herbal health products within TCM theory.
