Twenty-four hours multichannel intraesophageal impedance and pH monitoring in a patient who suffered from recurrent hiccups for more than a year revealed frequent supragastric belching and pathological oesophageal acid exposure. Furthermore, a temporal relationship between the start of a hiccup episode and gastric belching was observed. The data support the hypothesis that there is an association between supragastric belching, persistent recurrent hiccups and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and that gastric belching may evoke hiccup attacks.

It has been postulated that the persistent short intravaginal ejaculation latency time （IELT） of men with lifelong premature ejaculation （LPE） is related to 5-hydroxytryptamine （HT）2c receptor functioning. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship of cys23Ser 5-HT2c receptor gene polymorphism and the duration of IELT in men with LPE. Therefore, a prospective study was conducted in 64 Dutch caucasian men with LPE. Baseline IELT during coitus was assessed by stopwatch over a 1-month period. All men were genotyped for cys23Ser 5-HT2c receptor gene polymorphism. Allele frequencies and genotypes of cys and Ser variants of 5-HT2c receptor gene polymorphism were determined. Association between cys/cys and Ser/Ser genotypes and the natural logarithm of the IELT in men with LPE ***. As a result, the geometric mean, median and natural mean IELT were 25.2, 27.0, 33.9s, respectively. Of all men, 20.0%, 10.8%, 23.1% and 41.5% ejaculated within 10, 10-20, 20-30 and 30-60s after vaginal penetration. Of the 64 men, the cys/cys and Ser/Ser genotype frequency for the cys23Ser polymorphism of the 5-HT2c receptor gene was 81% and 19%, respectively. The geometric mean IELT of the wildtypes （cys/cys） is significantly lower （22.6s; 95% cI 18.3-27.8s） than in male homozygous mutants （Ser/Ser）（40.4s; 95% cI 20.3-80.4s）（P = 0.03）. It is concluded that cys23Ser 5-HT2c receptor gene polymorphism is associated with the IELT in men with LPE. Men with cys/cys genotype have shorter IELTs than men with Ser/Ser genotypes.

＜正＞A first application of volumetric Particle Image Velocimetry （3D-PIV） was performed in 2005 with a HOver TIp vortex Structure test （HOTIS） in the rotor preparation hall of DLR Braunschweig using a 40% Mach scaled model rotor of the Bol05. Major emphasis was placed on three component （3c） measurements in planes following each other as close as the resolution within each plane to form a 3D volume of the blade tip vortices. They were traced from their creation Ideg behind the trailing edge up to half a revolution. This paper deals with preliminary results obtained for vortex aging, RPM and thrust variation, and special effects observed in 3D volumetric data of young rotor blade tip vortices （age 3deg）. In addition to PIV the background oriented schlieren technique （BOS） was applied to measure optically the density within the core radius at young vortex age.

We appreciate and thank Drs Saitz and Serefoglu for their positive and sympathetic words on our article.1 Indeed, our genetic studies have shown that 5-HTTLPR polymorphism, 5-HT1A receptor gene polymorphism and 5-HT2c receptor gene polymorphism are associated with the duration of the intravaginal ejaculatory latency time in men with lifelong premature ejaculation. In line with the remarks） we hope that our stopwatch method will be used by other investigators to investigate the role of serotonergic gene polymorphisms on the duration of the intravaginal ejaculatory latency time.

cultivated potato is a clonally propagated autotetraploid species with a highly heterogeneous *** assemblies of six cultivars including two chromosome-scale phased genome assemblies revealed extensive allelic diversity,including altered coding and transcript sequences,preferential allele expression,and structural variation that collectively result in a highly complex transcriptome and predicted proteome,which are distributed across the homologous *** species contribute to the extensive allelic diversity in tetraploid cultivars,demonstrating ancestral introgressions predating modern breeding *** a clonally propagated autotetraploid that undergoes limited meiosis,dysfunctional and deleterious alleles are not purged in tetraploid *** a quarter of the loci bore mutations are predicted to have a high negative impact on protein function,complicating breeder’s efforts to reduce genetic *** StcDF1 locus controls maturity,and analysis of six tetraploid genomes revealed that 12 allelic variants of StcDF1 are correlated with maturity in a dosage-dependent *** of the complexity of the tetraploid potato genome with its rampant structural variation and embedded deleterious and dysfunctional alleles will be key not only to implementing precision breeding of tetraploid cultivars but also to the construction of homozygous,diploid potato germplasm containing favorable alleles to capitalize on heterosis in F1 hybrids.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

The prediction of material properties based on density-functional theory has become routinely common,thanks,in part,to the steady increase in the number and robustness of available simulation *** plurality of codes and methods is both a boon and a *** providing great opportunities for cross-verification,these packages adopt different methods,algorithms,and paradigms,making it challenging to choose,master,and efficiently use *** demonstrate how developing common interfaces for workflows that automatically compute material properties greatly simplifies interoperability and *** introduce design rules for reusable,code-agnostic,workflow interfaces to compute well-defined material properties,which we implement for eleven quantum engines and use to compute various material *** implementation encodes carefully selected simulation parameters and workflow logic,making the implementer’s expertise of the quantum engine directly available to *** workflows are made available as open-source and full reproducibility of the workflows is guaranteed through the use of the AiiDA infrastructure.
