The sessile drop method was applied to the experimental investigation of the wetting and spreading behaviors of liquid Mg drops on pure Ni *** comparison,the experiments were performed in two variants:(1)using the Capillary Purification(CP)procedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of a pure oxide-free Mg drop;(2)by classical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temperature tests were performed under isothermal conditions(CP:760℃for 30 s;CH:715℃for 300 s)using ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop tests,images of the Mg/Ni couples were recorded by CCD cameras(57 fps),which were then applied to calculate the contact angles of metal/substrate *** and transmission electron microscopy analyses,both coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,were used for detailed structural characterization of the solidified *** was found that an oxide-free Mg drop obtained by the CP procedure showed a wetting phenomenon on the Ni substrate(an average contact angleθary oxide film on the Mg surface blocked the spreading of liquid Mg showing apparently non-wetting behavior after 300 s contact at the test ***,in both cases,the deep craters formed in the Ni substrates under the Mg drops and significant change in the structure of initially pure Mg drops to Mg-Ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of Ni in liquid Mg and apparent values of the final contact angles measured for the Mg/Ni system.

We have previously found that unilateral labyrinthectomy is accompanied by modification of hyaluronan and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan staining in the lateral vestibular nucleus of rats and the time course of subsequent reorganization of extracellular matrix assembly correlates to the restoration of impaired vestibular function. The tenascin-R has repelling effect on pathfinding during axonal growth/regrowth, and thus inhibits neural circuit repair. By using immunohistochemical method, we studied the modification of tenascin-R expression in the superior, medial, lateral, and descending vestibular nuclei of the rat following unilateral labyrin- thectomy. On postoperative day 1, tenascin-R reaction in the perineuronal nets disappeared on the side of labyrinthectomy in the superior, lateral, medial, and rostral part of the descending vestibular nuclei. On survival day 3, the staining intensity of tenascin-R reaction in perineuronal nets recovered on the operated side of the medial vestibular nucleus, whereas it was restored by the time of postoperative day 7 in the superior, lateral and rostral part of the descending vestib- ular nuclei. The staining intensity of tenascin-R reaction remained unchanged in the caudal part of the descending vestibular nucleus bilaterally. Regional differences in the modification of tena- scin-R expression presented here may be associated with different roles of individual vestibular nuclei in the compensatory processes. The decreased expression of the tenascin-R may suggest the extracellular facilitation of plastic modifications in the vestibular neural circuit after lesion of the labyrinthine receptors.

The effects of Mg on the inclusion characteristics of 35CrNi3MoV steel have been studied. The results show that Mg treatment reduces obviously the amount of inclusion in the steel. Magnesium and oxygen in liquid steel form dispersed fine particles of MgO, to which other oxides or sulphides nucleated at heterogeneity and grown during solidification. In this way the inclusions are modified. The small spherical inclusions containing MgO have been observed in the Mg treated steel in contrast to the large angular inclusions with Al2O3 in the conventional steel. Especially the elongated MnS inclusion is replaced by small MgS . MgO or MgS. MnS . MgO complex inclusion. The formation of inclusions have been discussed.

Modifying solid catalysts with an ionic liquid layer is an effective approach for boosting the performance of both Pt-based and non-precious metal catalysts toward the oxygen reduction reaction. While most studies operated at room temperature it remains unclear whether the IL-associated boosting effect can be maintained at elevated temperature, which is of high relevance for practical applications in low temperature fuel cells. Herein, Fe-N-C catalysts were modified by introducing small amounts of hydrophobic ionic liquid, resulting in boosted electrocatalytic activity towards the alkaline oxygen reduction reaction at room temperature. It is demonstrated that the boosting effect can be maintained and even strengthened when increasing the electrolyte temperature up to 70℃. These findings show for the first time that the incorporation of ionic liquid is a suited method to obtain advanced noble metal-free electrocatalysts that can be applied at operating temperature condition.

Mini-channel heatsinks are one of the most effective thermal management methods for high heatﬂux devices due to the high performance of convective heat *** recent years,various techniques have been innovated to improve the thermal proﬁciency of the mini-channel *** of these are taking advantage ofﬁns’structural designs and ar-rangements of inlets and *** zigzagﬁns and channels were considered in the previous works in heatsinks,and researchers analyzed their cooling enhancement ***,in the present work,a combined cooling technique,considering new-type zigzagﬁns’geometrical parameters(arrangement,length,and height)causes turbulenceﬂow and higher convective heat transfer along with different positionings ofﬂow inlet and outlets resulting in superior temper-ature uniformity,is proposed to evaluate their impacts on the cooling proﬁciency of the heat sink versus different Reynolds *** assess the thermal and hydraulic performance of the proposed heatsink,different parameters,including temperature contours,Nusselt numbers,thermal resistance,and entropy generation are *** a result,it is observed that in the case demonstrating the best thermal performance,the Nusselt number,pressure drop,thermal resistance,and entropy generation are respectively 37.13,4586.46 Pa,0.000078 m^(2)·K/W,and 0.1078 W/K in the best *** well,it is found that by changing the arrangements of inlets and outlets,the Nusselt number,and thermal resistance are improved by 12%and 13%,***,the proposed mini-channel heat sink could be used as a high-performance thermal management system for electronic devices in different industries,including energy,solar,and medical sectors.

Recently, the space bvp of real or complex numbers consisting of all sequences whose differences are in the space lp has been studied by Basar, Altay [Ukrainian Math. j. 55（1）（2003）, 136-147], where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the space bvp（F） of sequences of p-bounded variation of fuzzy numbers. Moreover, it is proved that the space bvp（F） includes the space lp（F） and also shown that the spaces bvp（F） and lp（F） axe isomorphic for 1 ≤ p ≤∞. Furthermore, some inclusion relations have been given.

In this work,we intend to perform a detailed study on the crystallization process of PZT 53/47 nanostructured powders by starting out with an amorphous precursor synthesized by a sol-gel based *** interests also lie in the feasibility for controlling the average grain size of the final structure in the submicron range on an ab initio ***,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FT-IR）,Raman（Stokes and Anti-Stokes）,X-ray diffraction（XRD） and scanning electron microscopy（SEM） are used to examine the microstructural characteristics based on previously reported differential thermal analysis/thermal gravimetric analysis（DTA/TGA） *** results show a crystallization temperature of 800℃ to attain pure perovskite phase with excellent morphological quality,average grain size 〈DG〉〈 300 nm and with average crystallite size 〈DC〉〈15 nm.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)is a cofactor that serves to shuttle electrons during metabolic processes such as glycolysis,the tricarboxylic acid cycle,and oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS).NADH is autofluorescent,and itsfluorescence lifetime can be used to infer metabolic dynamics in living ***-coupled time-correlated single photon counting(TCSPC)equipped with an implantable needle probe can be used to measure NADH lifetime in vivo,enabling investigation of changing metabolic demand during muscle contraction or tissue *** study illustrates a proof of concept for point-based,minimally-invasive NADHfluorescence lifetime measurement in *** muscle loss(VML)injuries were created in the left tibialis anterior(TA)muscle of male Sprague Dawley *** lifetime measurements were collected before,during,and after a 30 s tetanic contraction in the injured and uninjured TA muscles,which was subsequently-t to a biexponential decay model to yield a metric of NADH utilization(cytoplasmic vs protein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this ratio was higher during and after contraction in uninjured muscle compared to muscle at rest,suggesting higher levels of free NADH in contracting and recovering muscle,indicating increased rates of *** injured muscle,this ratio was higher than uninjured muscle overall but decreased over time,which is consistent with current knowledge of inflammatory response to injury,suggesting tissue regeneration has *** data suggest that-ber-coupled TCSPC has the potential to measure changes in NADH binding in vivo in a minimally invasive manner that requires further investigation.
