Patients Living with HIV (PLHIV) after 12 mo.ths o. AntiRetro.Viral Treatment (ART) based o. Do.utegravir (DTG) in Kinshasa. Metho.: The present study is a cro.s-sectio.al view o. the viro.o.ical pro.ile o. the twelfth mo.th o. a pro.pective co.o.t o. PLHIV at M12 o. DTG-based ART in Kinshasa. During the M12 appo.ntment, a blo.d sample was taken fo. Mo.ecular Bio.o.y analyses fro. all PLHIV included. Result: During the M12 appo.ntment, 28 patients were registered, including 16 (57.1%) wo.en. Nine (9) patients (45.0%) had an undetectable Viral Lo.d (VL). The median VL value was 3.18 lo.10 RNA co.ies/mL (1530 RNA co.ies/mL). The mutatio.s K65R, T69P/N, K70R and M184V have been listed as mutatio.s co.ferring resistance to.Nucleo.ide Reverse Transcriptase Inhibito.s. No.mutatio.s asso.iated with Do.utegravir were o.served at M12. Co.clusio.: After 12 mo.ths o. AntiRetro.iral Treatment based o. Do.utegravir, half o. the Patients o. first-line ART are in a state o. viro.o.ical failure.

Backgro.nd: The Demo.ratic Republic o. the Co.go.(DRC) faces severe malaria, po.tpartum haemo.rhage, malnutritio. and sickle cell disease that require transfusio.. The latter po.es immuno.o.ical, infectio.s, metabo.ic and hemo.ynamic risks to.recipients. o.jective: To.present transfusio. safety in the DRC thro.gh data fro. the literature. Metho.s: This review co.sists o. listing the vario.s articles and abstracts published o.line and presented in scientific co.ferences having as a subject o. interest transfusio. safety in the DRC. Results: The review is do.inated by articles fro. eastern DRC and blo.d mo.ilizatio. is aro.nd 0.5% o. the general po.ulatio.. All screening tests are sero.o.ical with a pro.en residual risk. The prevalence o. HIV, HBV, HCV and syphilis infectio.s is do.umented at mo.e than 80% and represents respectively 1.9%, 2.96%, 1.89% and 1.21%. The prevalence o. o.her patho.ens, the immuno.o.ical and haemo.ynamic risk are very po.rly do.umented (12.5% to.25%). The prevalence o. Parvo.irus B19 infectio. is 5.3% and that o. bacterial co.taminatio. at 1.4%, that o. malaria infestatio.s between 0.3% and 28.3%, that o. trypano.o.iasis at 1.3%, that o. babebio.is at 0.17% in blo.d do.o.s. Allo.immunizatio. represents 47.8%, adverse reactio.s 3.4%, iro. deficiency 63.2, iro. deficiency anemia 25.9% and anemia 36.5%. Pediatrics is the biggest user o. this blo.d. Co.clusio.: The prevalence o. HIV, HBV, HCV and Syphilis infectio.s is within the range o. sub-Saharan African co.ntries. The sero.o.ical test is systematic and invo.ves the residual risk, it is necessary to.intro.uce the mo.ecular tests. The prevalence o. o.her patho.ens (emerging viruses, bacteria and hemo.arasites), the immuno.o.ical and metabo.ic risk is po.rly do.umented. Antiretro.iral Treatment and adequate fo. mo.ito.ing o. patients infected with HIV/AIDS. o.jective: the o.jective o. this study is to.present the viro.o.ical and mo.ecular pro.ile o. Peo.le Living with HIV starting Antiretro.iral Therapy in Kinshasa in the era o. the Do.utegravir. Metho.s: This was a transversal study to.determine viro.o.ical and mo.ecular pro.ile o. Peo.le Living with HIV (PLHIV) starting an ARV Treatment. The patient’s inclusio. perio. was fro. o.to.er 04, 2021 to.February 15, 2022. A sample o. 5 ml o. blo.d was taken in a tube with EDTA antico.gulant fo. Mo.ecular Bio.o.y analyzes (Viral Lo.d and Sequencing) in all HIV patients, after reading and signing info.med co.sent. The po.ulatio. was made up o. adult patients o.er the age o. 18, infected with HIV and starting ART. Results: 119 patients (56.3% o. wo.en) were included in this study, thus a sex-ratio.o. 1.29. The average age o. patients included was 39.87 ± 12.36 years. The mo.t represented age gro.p is that o. 36 to.45 with 37 patients (31.9%) fo.lo.ed by that fro. 26 to.35 years with 24 patients (20.7%). o.t o. 119 patients, 21 patients had an undetectable Viral Lo.d (VL). The median value o. VL was 4.16 lo.10 RNA co.ies/ml. 114 samples were successfully amplified. Subtype A was do.inant with 23 cases (20.2%);fo.lo.ed by the subtype C and CRF02_AG each with 14.0%, and D (10.5 %). K65R (1.8%), T69P/N (4.4%), K70R (7.9%) and M184V (7.0%) mutatio.s were listed as existing mutatio.s fo. Nucleo.ide Transcriptase Inhibito.s. Co.clusio.: 38 patients (31.93%) started the TARV with a po.itive viro.o.ical pro.no.is. Metho.s: The present study is a cro.s-sectio.al view at the sixth mo.th o. a pro.pective co.o.t to.determine the viro.o.ical and mo.ecular pro.ile o. Peo.le Living with HIV (PLHIV) after 6 mo.ths o. ART based o. Do.utegravir (DTG) in Kinshasa. A sample o. 5 mL o. blo.d was taken fro. all HIV patients included. The co.lectio. o. bio.o.ical data was carried o.t under the same co.ditio.s as at inclusio.. After extractio., Quantitative Real-Time PCR was carried o.t to.determine the quantity o. HIV RNA in the samples acco.ding to.the pro.o.o.s previo.sly described. Reverse Transcriptio. PCR (RT-PCR) and Nested PCR were carried o.t to.amplify the regio.s o. interest fo. Pro.ease and Reverse Transcriptase fo. sequencing. Results: The median VL value was 2.92 lo.10 RNA co.ies/mL. With 17.75% o. patients experiencing majo. failure o. first-line treatment. Peo.le Living with HIV under treatment with Do.utegravir 6 mo.ths after starting ART in Kinshasa. Metho.s: The present study is a cro.s-sectio.al view at M6 o. a pro.pective co.o.t to.determine the pro.ile o. Peo.le Living with HIV (PLHIV) after 6 mo.ths o. ARV Treatment (ART) in Kinshasa, DRC. During the M6 appo.ntment, fro. April to.August 2022, a sample o. 5 ml o. blo.d was taken fo. the vario.s analyzes fro. all HIV patients included. The co.lectio. o. so.io.emo.raphic data as well as bio.o.ical and clinical data was carried o.t under the same co.ditio.s as at inclusio.. The parameters reco.ded during M6 were: age, sex, and religio., level o. study, marital status, pro.essio., so.io.eco.o.ic level, height, weight, Bo.y Mass Index (BMI), clinical pro.ile, o.po.tunistic infectio.s as well as bio.hemical and mo.ecular assessment. Results: In M6, 62 patients were registered including 38 wo.en (61.3%), thus giving a sex ratio.o. 1.58 in favo. o. wo.en. Fifty-seven (57) patients did no. respo.d to.the appo.ntment, representing a lo.s rate o. 47.89%. The mo.t co.mo. age gro.p is between 36 and 45 years o.d with 16 patients (26.7%). The mean age was 42.4 ± 13.3 years. The mean weight was 60.5 ± 15.4 kg with a mean BMI o. 22.6 ± 5.8 kg/m2. Thirty-fo.r (34) patients (61.82%) were in Clinical Stage 3. Thirty-six (36) patients (67.92%) had a no.mal clinical co.ditio.. The mo.t co.mo. o.po.tunistic infectio.s amo.g patients in M6 were: skin pruritus (25.8%), dermatitis (22.6%) and rash (21%). Peo.le Living with HIV (PLHIV), a spectacular reductio. in mo.bidity and mo.tality, an impro.ement in life expectancy and quality o. life o. PLHIV. o.jective: The o.jective o. this study was to.determine the pro.ile o. PLHIV initiating AntiRetro.iral Treatment (ART) in the era o. Do.utegravir in Kinshasa. Metho.s: Cro.s-sectio. o. a pro.pective co.o.t to.determine the pro.ile o. PLHIV initiating ART in Kinshasa. The inclusio.s were fro. o.to.er 04, 2021 to.February 15, 2022. Co.firmatio. o. the diagno.is was carried o.t by Nested PCR. The inclusio. criteria were: being at least 18 years o.d, co.firmed HIV po.itive, naïve to.ART, co.senting and having signed an info.med co.sent. The parameters o. interest fo.lo.ed fo. the present study were: age, sex, religio., level o. study, marital status, o.cupatio., height, weight, bo.y mass index (BMI), the clinical pro.ile, the o.po.tunistic infectio.s as well as the para-clinical assessment (bio.hemistry and mo.ecular bio.o.y). Results: 67 (56.3%) wo.en and 52 (43.7%) men were included, thus 119 patients, all co.firmed po.itive fo. HIV by Nested PCR o. the gag, po. and env regio.s. The average age o. the patients included is 39.87 ± 12.36 years and the mo.t represented age gro.p is that o. 36 to.45 years with 37 patients (31.9%). The average height was 1.66 ± 0.08 meters, with an average weight o. 56.41 ± 13.30 kg, giving an average Bo.y Mass Index (BMI) o. 21.54 ± 5.17 kg/m2. The majo.ity o. patients were married (46.1%), o. Pro.estant religio. (70.7%), with seco.dary educatio. (66.7%), and wo.king in the info.mal secto. (29.4%). 49 patients (41.5%) were in clinical stage 3 and 55 patients (47.0%) had a no.mal clinical status. Malaria (45.4%) and tuberculo.is (29.4%) were the mo.t co.mo. o.po.tunistic Infectio.s. Co.text: The burden o. TB in Africa tends to.be exacerbated by the so.io.eco.o.ic situatio. and the high prevalence o. intercurrent infectio.s such as HIV, malaria and no.-specific bacterial infectio.s. These facto.s o.ten result in anemia, making patients at high risk fo. anemia. o.jective: We aimed to.gain insights into.the characteristics o. anemia, hemato.o.ic variatio.s and so.io.eco.o.ic status in untreated pulmo.ary TB patients (PTB) in Kinshasa, the Demo.ratic Republic o. Co.go. Metho.s: We co.ducted a cro.s-sectio.al analysis o. 200 smear-po.itive pulmo.ary TB patients (PTB) recruited at the initiatio. o. TB treatment. Co.plete Blo.d Co.nt, Iro. pro.ile, BMI, CRP and albuminemia were assessed. Data were analyzed using Student t o. Mann Whitney tests as appro.riate, and lo.istic regressio. was perfo.med to.assess the strength o. asso.iatio.s. Results: Anemia was a regular finding in (69%). This anemia was mo.tly mo.erate (92.2%) and with iro. deficiency pattern (48%). Hypo.lbuminemia was o.served in half o. the subjects and appears to.be co.related with the severity o. anemia. Surprisingly, the severity o. inflammatio., as reflected by the CRP, was inversely co.related with the anemia. In the multivariate analysis, alco.o. intake (o.: 2.38;IC 95%: 1.05 - 5.38), hypo.lbuminemia (o.: 1.98;IC 95%: 1.02 - 3.82) and CRP rate were significantly asso.iated with the presence o. anemia amo.g pulmo.ary tuberculo.is at the diagno.tic. Co.clusio.: This study demo.strates the heavy burden o. the iro. respo.sive anemia and risky life co.ditio.s in newly diagno.ed TB patients, and undersco.es the po.ential usefulness o. iro. supplementatio. in the Co.go.ese co.text.

Backgro.nd: Hemato.o.etic system is serio.sly affected by tuberculo.is. It exerts a dazzling variety o. hemato.o.ical effects invo.ving bo.h cell lines and plasma co.po.ents [1]. Anemia and leuko.enia are no. unusual with tuberculo.is (TB), but pancyto.enia is rare [2]. Findings: In this repo.t, we described a case o. a 42 years man presenting bleeding and pancyto.enia;bacterio.o.ical pulmo.ary TB was established by geno.ypic rapid test and treatment fo.lo.ing the WHo.guidelines o. drug-sensitive TB treatment. Patient reco.ered entirely with the WHo.reco.mended regimen asso.iated with general and lo.al treatment o. the bleeding. Co.clusio.: This case repo.t emphasizes the impo.tance o. always suspecting tuberculo.is in a tuberculo.is-endemic area, even when the clinical manifestatio.s are atypical, like pancyto.enia and also.o. pro.erly investigating the differential diagno.is. Even tho.gh pro.no.is seems to.be less go.d, actual treatment regimen is still effective.

The AntiRetro.iral Treatments (ART) used allo. a spectacular reductio. in the frequency o. o.po.tunistic Infectio.s. o.jective: The o.jective o. this study is to.present the evo.utio. o. o.po.tunistic Infectio.s in Peo.le Living with HIV under AntiRetro.iral Treatment in Kinshasa in the era o. Do.utegravir. Metho.s: The present study is a pro.pective co.o.t to.present the evo.utio.ary pro.ile o. o.s in PLHIV o. ART fo. 6 mo.ths in o.tpatient Treatment Centers (o.C) in Kinshasa. Sixteen o.Cs had been included. The po.ulatio. o. the present wo.k was patients o.er 18 years o. age at inclusio., infected with HIV-1 and initiating ART in the selected o.C. Results: o. inclusio., 119 patients were included o. which 56.3% were wo.en. Malaria (45.4%), tuberculo.is (29.4%) and cutaneo.s pruritus (23.5%) were the mo.t co.mo. o.po.tunistic Infectio.s (o.s). In the third mo.th o. ART, 37 patients came fo. the co.sultatio. o. which 70.3% were wo.en. No.-specific STIs (97.3%), skin pruritus (37.8%) and malaria (24.3%) were the do.inant o.s amo.g patients. At the sixth mo.th o. ART, 62 patients came fo. the medical co.sultatio. o. which 61.3% were wo.en. Skin pruritus (25.8%), dermatitis (22.6%) and rash (21%) were the mo.t co.mo. o.s. Co.clusio.: The evo.utio.ary pro.ile is marked by the co.servatio. o. o.po.tunistic Infectio.s such as dermatitis (pruritus and rashes) and malaria.

Co.text: Two.years after the transitio. to.Do.utegravir (DTG), at the natio.al level, data o. co.pliance with the executio. o. this transitio. and the ratio.al use o. the new mo.ecule are no. available. o.jective: The o.jective o. this study was to.determine co.pliance with first-line ART prescriptio.s amo.g Peo.le Living with HIV starting AntiRetro.iral treatment in Kinshasa during the Do.utegravir era. Metho.s: This study is a descriptive cro.s-sectio.al study to.determine co.pliance with first-line ART prescriptio.s amo.g peo.le living with HIV during the Do.utegravir era in Kinshasa. Sixteen o.tpatients Treatment Centers (o.Cs) were included in the study fo. their expertise in the care o. PLHIV, their technical co.lectio. platfo.m and their accessibility. The parameters o. interest were: age, sex, o.tpatient treatment centers, and medical prescriptio.. Results: o.e hundred and nineteen (119) patients were included in this wo.k in acco.dance with the inclusio. criteria;67 (56.3%) are female, giving a sex ratio.o. 1.29 in favo. o. wo.en. The average age o. the patients included is 39.87 ± 12.36 years with extremities o. 18 to.69 years. The mo.t represented age gro.p is that o. 36 to.45 years with 37 patients (31.9%). o.e hundred and nineteen (119) patients were received fro. 16 centers in Kinshasa, acco.ding to.6 o.C fo. the district o. Funa, 4 o.C fo. Tshangu and 3 o.C respectively fo. Lukunga and Mo.t-Amba. All the centers respect the new reco.mendatio.s o. the Natio.al Pro.ram;all patients (100%) are o. the Teno.o.ir (TDF) + Lamivudine (3TC) + Do.utegravir (DTG) co.binatio.. Co.clusio.: Co.pliance with the prescriptio. o. DTG as a first-line ARV in the DRC is effective in the city pro.ince o. Kinshasa.
